What an adorable space! The pink was poppin and it made these cute sweets stand out even more. The flower wall is such a great picture worthy spot! I was eye goggling over all of these sweets, I ended up ordering the fruity pebbles, lemon raspberry, cotton candy, and birthday cake French macarons. Every flavor was a delicious delight! Not one disappointed, I was joyfully surprised to find that most of them were gluten free as well! Definitely thinking about my Valentine's Day treats coming up!!
What a cute shop! We parked in front of Kate Smith Soiree the other night on our way to have dinner at Buffalo State with family. We were a bit early and our five year old daughter thought it looked so cool inside we had to go in and check it out. Our kiddo immediately went to the macarons so we let her pick out a few to try for dessert. Overall the ambiance is really cute here and the macarons were a hit with our five year old. We will be back!
Cute little bakery and coffee shop. It is small and has limited seating so beware in case you come on a Saturday morning (farmers market day!). They had plenty of offerings and the staff was super kind! The brown sugar rosemary latte was really good, not much sweetness so I had to add my own sugar. The mocha was really good, a nice rich chocolate with coffee. The kolache was a decent size and the pastry itself was delicious. The apple turnover was a good size and wasn't overly sweet! I didn't try one but their cinnamon rolls looked amazing.
This is the cutest, most girly and fun bakery to grab a breakfast pastry, coffee or sweet treat from! I stopped in to grab some macarons as a gift and ordered a coffee for myself as well. The pastry case was packed with goodies and everything looked and smelled delicious. I appreciated that they took the time to wrap my macarons in a gift box with wrapping and all the small details they offer for service are such a nice touch. I loved the photo op background too!
Cute place for some tea and pastries. Came for their tea party service. Good pricing when you booked online. They used Savoy teas and a great selection. The treats was good some was a bit too sweet for my taste. Service was decent. Cute place though.
I'm always on the lookout for a good tea party, so when I came across Kate Smith Soirée, I knew I had to go! There's a seasonal menu for the tea parties. My girlfriends and I tried the summer menu which goes until August. The sandwiches were so good and I'm still dreaming about the scone with whipped butter and peach marmalade! You get to try different teas. Our server was super friendly. And checked on us here and there but also let us enjoy conversation and our food/ tea. We had a little issue with sign ups, but they accommodated us so well. The store is super cute- think pink! I will definitely be back to try their a la carte pastries and drinks! And would also love to try another tea party menu!
I discover this bakery shop while in the area. Upon entering, I see pink all over. Definitely idea for a girls. There a huge formal mural on one end ideal for selfies. Furniture are in soft pink color. They have everything from maroon, to cookies, brownies, cheesecake and more. Also serving, coffee and tea. Free WiFi for anyone that wants to sit there and work. Friendly service. Definitely will come back another time.
I have been wanting to visit this insta-worthy shop for so long, and I finally got a chance to this past weekend. I wish I would've gotten pictures of the inside with the gorgeous flower wall, but we went at a busy time. However, we did get to get a look at their delicious pastries and macarons, along with their seasonal coffee selections! They have such a great selection that it took so long for me to make a decision, but their pain de chocolat was so amazingly flaky and jam-packed with chocolate. It was a great pick-me-up for the middle of the day!
What a sweet place for an afternoon tea party! I came here today to celebrate a friend's birthday. The decor is perfectly pink and girly. We loved everything from the place settings to the pink chairs. Priced at $42 per person (with gratuity), the afternoon tea includes different varieties of tea, tea sandwiches, scones, and mini desserts. Everything was yummy! Even if you don't do a tea party, you can come in to buy a drink and some pastries from the front counter. They sell a variety of baked goods and macarons. This is a little gem in downtown OP!
Delicious Macaron, Friendly service, and most definitely a cute place. This cute little bakery is in downtown Overland Park. Upon entering the bakery you can see that it is very aesthetically pleasing to the eyes, with cute flower accent walls. They have a large assortment of flavors of Macarons and they are all equally delicious. My son had the Oreo Brownie which he loved, and we all try a variety of Macarons. I also had their Strawberry Lemonade which was very good and refreshing.
This cafe is truly THE hidden gem of OP and is sure to satiate the desire for BEAUTY hidden away in every woman's heart. With a stunning floral wall, complete with that oh-so-familiar-and-trending neon sign, and pink tufted accent chairs, this insta/pinterest worthy, Kate Smith-designed cafe is sure to create the perfect ambience for every occasion. Note to the men: It's also located in the PERFECT date spot with Strang Hall just 4-minutes walking distance away and a cute little boutique just 3-4 stores down. Trust me, this little cafe spot for that first coffee-date won't disappoint.
The second I heard that Kate Smith Soiree was opening a location in Downtown OP I literally squealed. Frist off, Kate is the nicest person and every time I have chatted with her, she is so welcoming and amazing. Her baked goods and pastries are out of this world. What her and her team did to this location in Downtown OP is fabulous. They filled the space with color and it's super girly in the best way possible. It looks like the perfect place to grab some friends and have your own little tea party. The floral wall in the back in perfect for photo ops and the seating is inviting and cute all at the same time. I cannot recommend going enough and ordering a bunch of different things because everything she makes is delicious. You literally can't go wrong. I think this is the perfect addition to Downtown OP. Everyone has to try this place!
I'm SO GLAD to have found this gorgeous bakery in the heart of downtown OP! Not only is it stunningly decorated, but the treats are unique and delicious too! I got a prosciutto mozzarella croissant sandwich for lunch for $7 and you really can't beat the quality for that price! I enjoyed the veggie quiche but it was nothing compared to that croissant! For breakfast dessert, my partner and I tried a key lime tart and a lemon lavender cupcake, both had smooth and pleasing textures and the flavors and presentation were spot on! Come for the instagrammable flower wall, stay for the delicious smells and tastes. Now there's nothing holding me back from wanting to come in and try every. single. pastry.
Such a cute little spot! Very girly, very pink. Felt like I was in Paris the moment I stepped in. Definitely IG worthy. The staff were friendly, the space is spacious with a lot of cute decorations. They have a great selection of pastries on display, and everything looked delicious. I'll definitely be back to try another drink and their macarons. It's in downtown Overland Park, which makes it a fun stop. A lot of nearby eateries and shops to explore. Try to go on Saturdays when there's a farmers market. read more
If you want a devilishly delectable dessert, this is a little hidden gem In the middle of several hidden gems in downtown OP! This is another relatively small establishment, but it's set up very well and the line flows quickly. The people behind the counter are very friendly as well and they even warmed up my pastry. The Red Velvet Cinnamon Roll caught my eye. There was no cutting carbs and calories today and who would want to after tasting this sweet treat! It was an explosion of red velvety, ooey, gooey, cinnamon-y goodness and you can't forget the teeny tiny Oreo playing the role of the cherry on top! read more
Super excited that Kate Smith Soiree is on ToGoodToGo. They are highly sought after, so the bags go quick, but it was SO worth the value. The bakery items are impeccable. I had the pumpkin loaf, pop-tart, macaroons, banana bread loaf, and so many more. The prices on their lattes look reasonable, so I definitely plan to come back and check out more items. The space inside is absolutely adorable. There is a wall to the left of the door that is great for taking pictures and the entire place is beautiful. I saw a few people working, but there isn't a ton of space if it gets busy. read more

I wanted to love this place so bad. The store itself is very very cute. I LOVE pink, which is why it caught my attention. Unfortunately my husband and I left feeling very unsatisfied. We went in today around 11ish in the afternoon and it was empty. Which makes sense, it's a work day. We were not greeted when we walked in, but when she did help us she was nice. We got a strawberry chocolate cupcake and we thought maybe due to the off putting taste and look of the strawberry it was old. We each had one bite and threw it away. It was pretty hard to swallow, not to be dramatic, but oof. We also got a peach cobbler cinnamon roll and there was zero cinnamon flavor, it was just a few peach chunks in a roll essentially. They looked good though and it was warmed up for us which was nice. We wanted to get a smaller jug of the lemonade they sell but the date on them was 2/14 or 2/16, nothing newer. So nearing 2 weeks. I wouldn't consider that fresh and we opted to not get it. I put 2 stars instead of one because I'm thinking maybe the weather last week threw off the game and that's why nothing seemed super fresh. read more

So we found out online that they offer tea parties on Sundays, reservations required. Got together with a group of 6 total, they allow you to book separately just mention the other member of the party and they seat you together. Food was so fun and tasty. Teas were neat to try, some were better than others but I think that's more of a personal preference thing than anything else. Our server was great, knowledgeable and attentive. They have a set rotating menu, but there is plenty to eat and sample. Definitely want to try after another menu is up! We did ask however it wasn't clear when it changes other than in the "spring time." Great value and will try and go again. Can also buy coffees, desserts and teas to go, along with a small assortment of bottled drinks. read more

Delish egg nog latte! The patwries looked really good. Spinach sundried tomato quiche was a little dry but flavorful. Next time I will try the cinnamon roll. Overall, a lovely cafe atmosphere and ambiance for a little get together. Service was very good. A great little place in old overland park with lots of free parking. read more
The space here is very very cute. I love the flower wall and seating. I have been here twice and it was not busy at all either time and there was plenty of seating open. There is a wide variety of sweets like macarons, cupcakes, and cinnamon rolls. I have tried two different cupcakes. Most recently, I had a chocolate cupcake. It was a little too dry, but still tasty. Although the space is very cute, I don't have a strong urge to return. read more

After shopping at the Farmers Market I took a break to check out this local bakery. Omg I was taken by how beautiful and peaceful the atmosphere is walking in. The flower wall gives a great chic impression and I notice there were tea cup sets along the shelf. After viewing the menu I grabbed a few things from the menu . Everything look really yummy and really was . My favorite is the cinnamon roll (not pictured), and the Crème brûlée. read more

My mom and I went here a couple of months ago, interested in trying out a tea time. We had such a great time, it inspired us to try other tea times in the KC area. Having tried a couple of other tea times I can confidently say the service and food at Kate Smith goes above and beyond. I really love that they let you try more than 1 tea. Also, for the price it's a great deal if you're looking for something to do on the weekend. Oh- and my mom's been drinking savoy tea non-stop since we visited read more
I'm so excited that Kate Smith now has a bakery in downtown Overland Park. The macaroons are a great gift and with all of the color variations, perfect for all occasions. I love that this bakery has so any gluten free options. I'll definitely be back to try the delicious looking treats. read more

Such a cute spot! Delicious food and drinks. We got the Pain au Chocolate and an Irish Cream macaron. They had great gluten free options as well if you need to know that! Best photo backdrops and kind folks to help you pick which pastry you might want to try. Great people and environment will be back on next KC visit! read more

The store is super trendy looking and service is good Sadly my jumbo brownie was fair at best, honestly the best part about it was the Oreo on top. The brownie simply isn't sweet or chocolatey. My husband had the apple danish and apparently toaster strudels taste better and, I've had better brownies from a box mix.Maybe it's was just a bad day there for some reason but their desserts tasted like they come frozen or something. I am just glad i didn't buy anything else. I have 16 years food service experience and hate to waste food but we may not finish our desserts. read more

This little bakery/café is a real treat! One of my favorites are the croissant sandwiches, specifically the prosciutto and mozzarella one! The value is great and you can tell the sandwich is made fresh today. Once you get past the delicious little sandwiches, there's still a case full of fun pastries! Some savory, some sweet, some savory-sweet, there will definitely be a flavor for your tastes. I can't wait to go in again, it's the perfect place for a small bite! read more

This place is totally about the experience from the moment you step inside. Very feminine decor with cute bistro tables outside. Known for their macaroons, we ordered 4 of the most colorful flavors. We loved the cotton candy. Also ordered the fruit croissant, soft and sweet. Ordered a London fog, which was also delicious! Service was fast, and helpful in picking out our sweet treats! read more
This new location is super charming! They offer a great selection of pastries including cheesecake, macarons, scones, cookies and cupcakes just to name a few. Everything we ordered was a hit! We got a slice of the mixed berry cheesecake, cupcakes, and a macaron. We also ordered a pot of tea and it came in a pink tea set. Will come back again! read more
