The coffee had just the PERFECT amount of sweetness, matched with the freshly grounded coffee and oat milk per my request. The creamiest coffee, so delicious! The brownie had little bits of chocolate chips in it and you can tell it has super rich cocoa powder in it too! The lemon bar was my ABSOLUTE fave. You can taste how fresh the lemon juice is with little bites of zest I believe. Crust is firm so the bar doesn't fall apart, but has the perfect bite to match the sweetness of the lemon curd. The cold foam balances out the bold espresso with a sweet, delicate blackberry flavor. I used to love going to Monarch before it closed, and this is the closest flavor I've found. As for bakery items, we had the orange cinnamon roll and a normal cinnamon roll and they were good as well. They have a fluffy bread texture and the frosting isn't too sweet. Also, some use this place to study, so if you are looking for somewhere with outdoor seating for personal work, this is a great place.

The difference is that it contains pineapple and coconut. Hummingbird cake is typically very chunky and moist, and a very close cousin to carrot cake. But almost nobody makes it. So while this one is marketed as a carrot cake, if you are from the south, it definitely leans toward hummingbird. Anyway, it was Absolutely amazing! At first, I was a little disappointed that it didn't have thicker cream cheese icing, but once I dug into the cake and tasted how sweet and moist it was, I decided more frosting would've been too much of a good thing. It's an absolute winner!

The key lime had a perfect ratio of cream to pie and the filling was so smooth and not overly stiff/congealed like I've had elsewhere. $6 for a giant slice of happiness is a great deal. It's really a mixed bag unfortunately. My main wish is that at 8:45am they'd have more of a selection of baked goods for breakfast time. The selection mainly felt like afternoon treats. (Cookies, Brownies, Oatmeal Pies, Bars, etc.) When I heard Megan was bringing a take on a Cardamom Bun I was very very excited. I'm a huge cardamom bun slut. (I have a ranking in my head from all the ones I had across the world.) The cardamom roll, while having mostly the right flavor, was pretty off texture-wise, leading it to be too thin and crunchy in all the wrong places because of increased surface area. I did heat it up at home and it was a little better, but should be good on its own without having to do that. I also tried the milk bread roll with peaches and crumble. That was much nicer with a sweet/tart vibe. I'll go back, but I hope they make tweaks to both what's available in the morning and the texture of the cardamom roll. The staff was friendly and helpful, so I'm rooting for y'all!
