As someone else wrote here, I was lured by some positive reviews, (which I believe now are not entirely truthful), and the look of the place. The owner who does the injections yells at clients. She yelled at me during a visit because I needed her to talk to me about why she preferred one type of injection over another. She was impatient and abrasive as if I had some nerve to ask her for details. I also needed to hear from her as to why she would be better than another service provider. She was angry and yelled at me. She shuttled between me and another potential client in an adjoining room. I heard her yell at the other potential client in the adjoining room and then came back into the room with me and slammed the door and talked about that client to me and how that client was "stupid" for having used another provider. The phone staff are extremely condescending. I will never go back to this provider. There are other injection services in Brooklyn who will provide good service and not yell at me. Her prices are high and she ought to be damned grateful for her customers. Instead she treats them like stupid misbehaving children. read more

I went here for botox awhile back. I was lured in by the excellent reviews and the beautiful instagram account. My experience was nowhere what its marketing presents. Even though the office touts natural results, when I arrived at the office, I saw some of the staff who looked like they had work done, presumably at this office. If you want good aesthetic work, you are not supposed to look like you have work done! Always look at the staff at a plastic surgery, medical spa or dermatology office. They are the walking advertisements for that office. I get vasovagal syncope due to a phobia of needles. It's something that I can usually deal with by laying down while I get jabbed for quick injections or blood draws. If the jab is more extensive, like for lip fillers, I would need a xanax to avoid getting sick if the doctor requires that I sit upright for 10+ minutes while getting the injection but if I'm laying down, I'm fine. I tried to communicate this to the practitioner. She did indicate that she wanted me to sit upright for the injections to help the botox be more effective. When I got sick, she tried to offer me junk food to raise my blood sugar. Again, my blood sugar isn't the problem, it's the psychological response to needles which effects my body. High-sugar, processed crap food is the last thing I need during a vasovagal attack. As a health professional, she should know this. I asked the practitioner for a tretinoin prescription, which was promised to me prior to coming in to the appointment. But once these people had my credit card inserted into their square reader, it was like, "Bye bye." Overall, I was really disappointed with the treatment I received here. The practitioner was so clueless and lacking empathy about vasovagal syncope and anxiety and completely disregarded my request for a tretinoid prescription, I actually questioned her credentials. She even accused me of being a drug addict for suggesting a tranquializer if she needed me to sit up for the treatment and requesting a prescription for tretinoin. I was upset that her reception said I would be able to get the tretinoin prescription during my visit but once the practice got my money, they seemed to just want to be rid of me as quickly as possible. That would require me to go to another provider, spent the time and more money, just for a tretinoin prescription. If you are attracted to the wonderful reviews and the beautiful social media of this practice, just know that this is marketing. You can actually pay people to write reviews for your business. Not saying this practice does, just saying that it is possible. My treatment here was nothing like thepositive reviews claim.The practitioner at this practice proved to be extremely cruel, ignorant and money-hungry. Just an FYI, I have interacted with someone via yelp who was bullied by this practice to take down a negative review, just like I was when I wrote the original review. Proceed with caution. Don't confuse the beautiful marketing of this practice with the reality of what it really is. read more

Jenn and her team are amazing, they really go above and beyond for their patients. Jenn made me feel at ease with my procedure, she's very thorough and walks me through it step by step. Now I know previous Yelpers complained about the wait, it's really not that bad and I'm very understanding as Jenn takes her time with all her patients and never rushes- which I can appreciate because you simply cannot rush perfection. I know this first hand because she was patient and gave me time to think whether or not I wanted to finish my syringe. The outcome of my results are amazing. Jenn has such a gentle touch that doesn't leave my lips super bruised. She's extremely professional and realistic about the outcome of your expectations. Do NOT get discouraged by the bad reviews. Wow what a great job! My nose was botched & Dr. Jen made it beautiful. And this is no easy task after such a crooked tip & nostrils created. This bothered me so much ever since I had the botched rhinoplasty a few years back. Of course it's still swollen so may need another visit for incremental layers of fillers but such purposeful locations injected into my nose to make it look more even. Worth the trip! I am finally getting around to write long overdue review about my experience at Dolce. For years I have been doing my Botox with someone else and I was happy, even when I wasn't, I am a loyal person and get used to pleasant service even if it's not always as I want it. This year has been an odd one, so my regular person wasn't available and I didn't even know if they will be available in the future either, so I made a move to find someone else. On the chance that I do end up enjoying my visit and stay there for many years to come, I was looking for a place that would be walking distance. Dolce cosmetics is pretty close. I went online and did my research about Dolce and found out that reviews were great. Yes, some people weren't happy, but you can't please everyone. I noted that Jen is the one everyone was super happy about, so I wanted to make sure to ask for her. Scheduling an appointment was a pleasure. The lady on the phone was very pleasant. When I came in, I should have called before bathing in considering the COVID situation, but for some reason I didn't know that I should have. Nevertheless, the lady at the desk(whose name I forgot, I'm so very sorry), was wonderful and friendly. I did have to wait for quite sometime, but in reality, I never expect to show up in the doctor's or beautician's office and be taken straight away. I'm my experience, I've always had to wait. So I sat comfortably in the chair in the waiting room. When Jen took me in, I explained my situation and how I shouldn't have a lot of Botox, because my skin/muscles tend to react very quickly. She understood and gave me exactly what I asked. She was very kind and pleasant. I scheduled a follow up appointment. During the 2-3 weeks, the effect started showing up. I was so absolutely delighted with the result. My brows didn't drop. They retained their arc. My skin became smooth and no frown lines anymore :). When I showed up for follow up, I had to wait again, but not a problem for me:). It's a perfect time to relax and read a book. We are always in rush somewhere. My time came up and Jen took me in. I told her that I was very pleased with a result. She recommended that I come in 3months. I usually went every 6months, and didn't need to go sooner. 3 months is almost up and I'm still very happy with a result. I will be going back. The office is clean and they have wonderful atmosphere. Ive purchased a groupon for 'unlimited' laser sessions. First of all, its NOT unlimited and they should not advertise that way....its only 6 sessions. Second of all, after the 6 appointments i still have a lot of hair growing after i stopped a little over a month ago. And they might say that it's individualized and depends on hair...bs....I went to a different place before for a different hair area and had no hair growth after 5 sessions. I had six laserMD on my face (similar to a Fraxel) done here a year ago. This was a HUGE mistake. To make a long story short I have followed their advice of putting on sunscreen even when I'm inside my home. What I have noticed is that now my brown spots have darkened. I am so scared of going outside when it's sunny now, I feel so sad because my dark spots are more noticeable than ever and the sun or even the heat makes my dark spots darker. . What I didn't know was that this type of laser is not recommended for olive skin!!!! SMH, all they care about is the money, how come they didn't explain that to me, I would have gladly done other less invasive procedures here, but this particular one worsened my condition!!! After the damage was done., I read about this particular laser for your face, so it happens to be that the research that was done to get this machine on the market was only done on very fair skin and it worked well on their skin, however, on olive skin it is not recommended, when I first came to Dolce they promised wonders for my skin and that the positive effects would last a very long time! the only effect I've seen is my dark spots are now darker and my skin is so sensitive and red all the time, I NEVER. had this issue before. Please beware, they purchase these very expensive machines and they would recruit anybody who's breathing for profit, I spent over $2000 for my dark spits to be more noticeable and extremelysensitive. Don't come here!!! She (Jen) is terrible! I went in to see her in February for Juvederm on my lips and botox. I go to pay and was told it was $800, I was shocked. She sold me the full syringe of Juvederm when I only wanted half and the botox lasted less than 2 weeks!! I went back 3 weeks ago for the other half of my fill and left with swollen and lopsided lips. She tells me I have to wait 2 weeks for the swelling to go down. There was no Juvederm in my top left lip. I went to a real doctor to get it fixed. Don't be fooled by her Instagram!! throughout this whole ordeal, she never once spoke to me, she hid behind her receptionist. She doesn't stand behind her work which is lopsided and lumpy. Ive been going to jen for my lips and other injection for over 4 years now, I began in her queens office and was thrilled when she opened one closer to my home in bayridge. The staff is always extremely professional and accommodating. She always runs specials on her pricing which is great! So highly recommend calling and finding out what the specials are for the month when you schedule your appointment. On to the actual procedures! Jen is a god send literally! She is extremely knowledgeable and a straight shooter, never pressures you to do more than you are comfortable with, and will tell you exactly what you need to achieve the best look for you.
