Have used them 26 times during the past year and a half and they are the best! Always do exactly as requested and leave wonderful, personal notes to document each visit. Easy to contact by text and all communication goes through Mark. They had to deal with an emergency at our house last year and they handled a bad situation professionally and with kindness. After our pet sitter retired, we found Mark at Dogz Gone Walkn and are so happy we did! We have had many planned trips and even a couple last minute, emergency trips. Mark and his staff (Angel usually) have been able to come through for us every time. Before our third beagle passed away, he was on a few meds. At one point we had a second beagle on meds at the same time. They gave the meds on time and had no issues! They take them on a nice, long walk when requested and stay up to keep them company on overnights. Plus they usually send a pic or two and write us a note letting us know how everyone did. While on our first day on vacation Mark and I disagreed about the time the overnight sitting was to begin, we quarreled and he refused to honor his commitment for the 3 overnights over a 2 hour difference. We were traveling by train and could not return home until the next day. Our dog and 2 cats were ABANDONED by this greedy man over 2 hours! He wanted an extra fee to come at 5:00pm instead of 7:00 pm. A point of interest is that they walk our dog 3 times a week which cost us between $200-$300 a month. Unethical and greed is the underlying theme in their business plan. He does not care about your pet. Incidentally, we have been their clients for over 2 years! Bummed. I needed a dependable dog walker for a few days a week. And, it was also important that the same person walk my dogs as my dogs aren't comfortable with new people walking them and I wanted them to be able to get used to one person. I prepaid for 4 walks. First walk went ok I think. They were 20 mins early. Dogs came back happy and tired. Hence, the second star on this review. But, on the Second walk, they were almost an hour late getting to my house. We waited by the door, leashes on, for 20 mins. No one came, no one called, and no email to let me know they weren't coming. Finally someone showed up after I emailed them. But, since the company's response to me asking why they were late, was that they had to send the walker somewhere else this morning and that they try their best to be on time for their scheduled appointments, it Seemed like this type of situation may happen again and thus, I decided I wasn't comfortable with that and cancelled the walk. Unfortunately, I am a professional and too busy to deal with random no shows from time to time, especially a no show/no call. I understand that things happen, but it is respectful and courteous to call a client, especially one that has already prepaid for the walk, to let them know you will be late. I must say, I was surprised this happened as this company has several great reviews. Maybe it was just a one time mistake, not sure. But, it doesn't work for me. read more

They are always professional and Mark seems to hire only folks who love to be with animals. They feed and walk them and actually spend time with them. Not in and out the door. Mark's crew listens to the needs and wants of their customers and follows through. They pick up the newspaper; bring in the mail take the trash cans out to the street for pick up. I was a customer of DogzGoneWalkn for over 2 years when I lived up in Camarillo. I discovered them after I broke my leg and was unable to walk my dog for a couple of weeks. DGW really came through for me. They went out of their way to ensure my dog was exercised and happy. They even took him to the dog park to play with other dogs. I continued to use the service even after I healed up because my dog loved them so much. My job often required me to work late with very little advanced notice. Sometimes I would call or email DGW at the last minute to ask if they could walk my dog and feed him dinner, and they never said no. They were always there for me and my pup. It was such a pleasure to come home everyday and read the notes the dog walkers would leave describing how my dog's walk went. A couple of times when he was sick, they alerted me to let me know what they observed. I highly recommend DGW as an incredibly reliable, trustworthy dog walking service.
