Parking is available on the street or in a lot across the street The space inside is very nice and accommodating. There are booths, chairs, and private spaces. Menu is so fun. There are options for traditional standards, but also fantastic seasonal choices. I tried an orange almond latte from the seasonal menu, and it was so tasty! Not a combo I would have thought of. I cannot remember my trip here in 16', but of course the review and pic show proof. Greatly remodeled since then the place is modern and bright and actually smells nice. Do all coffee shops smell like that? No, actually. Anyway the cups are pretty. Dogwood roasts are considered a premium coffee and their price reflects the reputation. Parking is street only as there are side streets where it's just a matter of luck. The brewed is still a roasty nutty blend with a pleasant after-taste. Customer service friendly and fast. read more

I can't believe I have not discovered this place before. It is an excellent meeting spot if you work in Saint Paul and need to meet someone who's coming from Minneapolis. It is right on the edge of those towns. It is easily accessible by public transit, but you can also park for free on the streets, or pay for the nearby lot. Their coffee is excellent. They roast their own beans. I tried one of their single origins, and it was just done to perfection. I really like this space. There are a variety of options for seating, arranging from simple tables, just a little booth, even a bar area and comfy chairs. What a great place to grab a really good coffee. There's also pastries and grabbing go food if you're so inclined, but I did not try those. The pastries did look amazing. read more

I live close to this coffee shop so I've been here several times. And literally without fail, every single drink I've gotten has tasted absolutely awful. Whether it's matcha, a latte, an americano, chai. All of it has been shockingly gross. They charge 7-9 dollars for their drinks to be poorly made, watery, overly bitter, etc. The employees are always so sweet and kind, but their drinks are always disappointing :( read more

I like Dogwood Coffee, and was SO excited when they opened this location two blocks from my house. Good coffee, nice staff. I particularly like their speciality Marc Heu pastry that they do on the weekends. This location is pretty spacious and has cheerful decor; I've brought my laptop and worked from here many times. Giving 4 stars because 1) they're slow. The light rail is across the street -- if you're trying to get a coffee before you catch the light rail, don't. I came here for a Fluffy Bakery pop-up (scored one of their Browned Butter Date donuts, too-score!), and I am so glad that I did. This coffee shop hit all the right notes--the decor was great with a blend of chic (dark wood and beautiful seating) and playful (that wallpaper, though!). Great indoor and outdoor seating options for parties of all sizes. I was really impressed with the selection of beverages. They had all the classic coffeehouse favorites plus some fun others, as well as an above average set of options for customization (they offer maple syrup as a sweetener!). I grabbed a cappuccino (almond milk and maple syrup), and it went down oh so well. Fantastic, friendly service (I needed some help choosing my second pastry), too! The only downside here is that parking is a little bit tight, so you might need to walk a couple of blocks. read more

Tried a couple of drinks here. Both the hot oat milk cafe latte and oat milk matcha latte were delicious treats on a chilly winter morning. I also thoroughly enjoyed their raisin pastry. I heated it for a couple seconds in the microwave (at home) and it was buttery and light. An A+ breakfast. The interior of the cafe was well decorated and had plenty of spaces to hang out with friends or work independently. The staff were also super friendly and got the drink orders out quickly. It looks like the partner with other local businesses as well, which was cool. They were selling Niko Niko boba and some food items in the refrigerated section by the register. I imagine if I lived in this building, I'd be coming here quite often. Def recommend giving this place a visit! read more

First, a decent amount of parking and designated pickup 15min parking spot. The interior, open and large- room to get work done! The coffee, the spumoni has a slightly off flavor, I was getting some cinnamon notes and the description online didn't mention cinnamon (6/10, wouldn't order again), also woodsy notes and slight almost Smokey flavor. The salted maple cold foam nitro had fruity notes and a good flavor- it just seemed watered down, definitely not what I think of when something says nitro (7/10, if it was stronger it would be better). read more

A fan of the NE location, I was ecstatic to test out the newly moved location to University and I am proud to announce that the same great service and quality of products (merchandise, coffee beans, menu) remains identical to the other locations minus good parking. Should you take the light rail, this is an amazing location to exit and walk across the street. Contrary, if you drive, be prepared to walk a few blocks if not more. I wasn't strapped for time today, so parking was no issue. Contrary, this would be a messy location if time wasn't on my side. None the less, the University location is gorgeously spacious. There is a plethora of seating including funky booths, a bar, cute tables and a larger exterior patio. Unlike the NE location, you can totally come here with a large group and know that seating will be available. The barista mentioned they are awaiting their liquor license and if it passes, they will serve wine and beer. My favorite drink ever is the seasonal Beach Please and I'm so happy it continues to be on the menu. Best of luck in your new location, Dogwood! read more

I have been coming here most Sunday mornings over the past couple of years for fellowship and caffeine! I've finally decided to leave a review. This Dogwood Coffee shop is terrific! When I walk in, I am greeted by their friendly staff (Tabby & Callie, for example!) and am at ease with a feeling of, "No Worries!" I usually order a pastry, like the passion fruit caramel-cream croissant donut! Then, I peruse the blackboard to see what special drinks are listed. Today, I chose the Campfire Smoked Maple Latte w/an extra espresso shot for the first time. It was an interestingly tasty drink. It's something I would not have ordered on my own, like many of their specials, but I'm so glad I did! The smokey flavor immediately appeared, and the maple sweetness showed up seconds later; very unique! This Dogwood Coffee location has an industrial decor as the space is a sectioned-off space of a craft printing press company. It has both two and four-person booths, tables, and some lounge chairs circled a coffee table. Plus, it has plenty of free parking and is a few blocks off the Green Line. I often frequent the NE Dogwood but was meeting someone before work so tried out this location! I'm a huge fan of Dogwood Coffee and I liked the atmosphere in this location. The iced matcha is one of my favorite drinks from them and is sweetened with honey. A decent amount of tables inside and lots of free parking outside the building. I only stopped in for coffee so can't say how their baked goods tasted, but they looked fresh and tasty! This is one of my favorite coffee shops in the city - it's my favorite coffee, period, and now that they're in this gorgeous new space it's one of the best spots to get some work done or catch up with a friend! Their tables fill up fast with remote workers, but I always enjoy working at the spacious bar. If you're a tea drinker like me you will definitely appreciate Dogwood. They have parking and a pretty good amount of seating options including lots of seats with access to outlets. They have a good variety of tea which they actually set a timer for so it is brewed properly which I love. They also have options for various tea lattes. They also have coffee, kombucha and pastries. They even have Marc Heu pastries . Staff are great and the space is very clean. It is one of my go-to spots. Stopped by for a midday pick me up and I was very impressed! I ordered a flat white, so I was able to taste the coffee without all the other wonderful flavors they have. So delicious! And the latte art had a nice touch too. My buddies seemed to enjoy their drink as well. This location has a big seating area for you to relax and lounge with a lot of sunlight. Dogwood is one of my favorite coffee stops in the cities. Some of the best coffee beans and great espresso drinks. I love their maple latte and they always have good seasonal drinks. The baristas give good recommendations for beans and the prices are more reasonable than Spyhouse (another big name in the area). Though we don't live in the cities anymore we always bring beans back as gifts for friends and family. The vibe of this place is great for working and decent parking out front. read more

I've been a few other Dogwood Coffee locations and this was my first visit to this one! The atmosphere is as quiet, aesthetic, and motivating as always. It's a great spot to do work or complete that task you've been putting off. However, the quiet ambiance does make it so it's uncomfortable to hold a conversation or meet up here to chill with a friend. The barista was friendly and our drinks were made correctly and efficiently! I enjoyed browsing the local made goods while I waited. I ordered an iced oat milk latte with both caramel and vanilla. I used to order an iced oat milk latte with their smoked maple syrup, which was always delicious but it wasn't on the menu anymore. The latte today was oddly bitter, which I wasn't a huge fan of because it masked the vanilla and caramel flavors. It also happened that I was looking for a sweeter drink today and this was not it. I'm not sure if today was a fluke or if they're using different beans or if the bitterness just paires better with what I used to order. It's made me think twice about if I want to come back exclusively for the coffee again. read more

Dogwood coffee is one-of the best coffee companies in the Twin Cities. I have been shopping their beans for years to California and getting their coffee at Steelhead in Long Beach CA but now I live in the motherland. With multiple locations to serve clients you can expect amazing mixed drinks and fantastic single origin and blend coffee. I personally love the central and South American coffees that are light and have hints of citrus or flowers. As far as feel there is ample seating, the place has an artsy vibe and the St Paul location is paired with a print shop in the background which gives it a hip industrial feel. I highly recommend Dogwood and hope it comes to the Northwest Metro, it will give the hacks at Starbucks and Caribou something to ponder! read more

Coffee & Ambiance- no complaints. However, it's seems very entitled to take people's money give them fluids and not have a bathroom for them to use. If it's the issue with the bathroom lock falling off sticking why not spend a few dollars and replace it? You will earn the money back in just a few customers orders versus driving those customers away now because you no longer have a bathroom for customer use. read more

One of the worst iced coffees I've ever had. I ordered a seasonal cold brew with cold foam. The barista who served me was very short tempered and did not make me feel welcome. I asked for a small size but was charged and given for the larger size. For $7.50 I received lukewarm water with a little bit of coffee. The cold foam collapsed as soon as I walked out. Days later when the payment went through I was charged even more than the $7.50, which is very strange to me. read more

The coffee: It's been a bit hit or miss for me. The first time I came here I had a salted caramel thyme latte. It was unique and had a great balance of sweetness and coffee flavor. The second time I had a chai latte, which left something to be desired. They use real chai tea, not a mix, which was great to see. However, the tea tastes a bit too strong and I think it was over-steeped, which created a bitter after taste. That being said, the coffee I have had here has been great, so I'll probably just stick to coffee in the future. The space: There's plenty of seating, and you can usually find a place to sit even when it's busy. This is a feat in itself considering how busy coffee shops tend to get with students studying. on the weekends. There are also outlets next to almost all of the tables, making it a great study spot. It is very open with lots of natural light, which I love. They display local art on the walls and sell some locally made art and gifts. I love to see places that promote local artists and businesses, so that's definitely a plus. read more

I am addicted to coffee, well kind of. I got a gift card for Dogwood coffee and I decided to stop by here. It was a little hard to find this place but using GPS was helpful. The space inside is big enough to do work/homework related on your laptop. It is not loud so I would suggest not to catch up or laugh. People are focused here, ok. Just kidding. It is a coffee shop so you can do whatever you want, I see people bring in their babies and laugh out loud. I love their coffee though. I love their mocha with almond milk and chai latte. They always have a great selection of bakery items (my favorite is the chocolate croissant)! The iced mocha is my go to for coffee.
