I love taking my baby here for daycare. Lauren happily greets us at 6:45am. The other morning, I was sitting in my car after drop-off and saw that they were just loving on her before taking her back. She is always excited to go in and happy when I pick her up. The staff knows each dog by name and Corrine or Dari tell me about their activity during the day. I have even received communication via text when my baby wasn't feeling well, letting me know they were keeping an eye on her. I have another doggy daycare closer to home, but hands down choose Doguroo to take care of my dog. read more

Two times in a row, the groomer has completed disregarded directions. Both times, she aggressively shaped him up which was not requested. The most recent time, the desk person did take care of the cut but I will not be back after 2 chances and 2 failures. read more

Doguroo's fantastic staff and groomer were able to take care of our 3-month-old puppy the same morning we called in. Our new puppy had gotten burrs stuck on her face during her first time on a trail, and Doguroo came to the rescue after we couldn't safely remove the burrs at home. Parking was easy, access to the building is ideal. It was our first time having our puppy see a groomer. She had never been able to even sit through a brushing before, but the professionals at Doguroo were amazing. From the moment we walked in they were all kind and calming and so patient with her. The groomer was able to remove the burrs quickly and our puppy was ecstatic to be able to see again and be free of those awful stickers. We are so grateful to the calm, kind, and talented staff for running this great business. They gained a loyal customer by taking care of us so well. read more

I've been taking my dog here for 2 years for daycare and grooming. Yesterday I was told my dog bit the groomer. When I arrived to pick up my dog, they tried to give me the wrong dog twice. Turns out they groomed the wrong dog and my dog was stuck in a cage for 5 hours and did not get bathed or groomed. My friend also had an incident where her dog died the day the day after being under Doguroo's supervision for daycare. They recently turned off their live stream cameras so you can not watch your dogs during the day which I find odd. I do not recommend bringing your dog here for boarding, daycare, or grooming. read more

I hate to write this review but feel it's critical to share our experience to ensure owners are aware of how poorly they handle incidents affecting loyal customers. Back story: our 1.5 year old dog has been at daycare roughly 3x per week for the past year with Dogaroo until January 3rd when he was bit with the team unable to share exactly what happened. On January 3rd I received a voicemail from Lexi, shift manager, sharing that our dog had a "scratch" and that she wanted to hold him back from the yard due to the risk of infection. This scratch was later diagnosed by PetWell as a puncture wound and lacerations requiring staples. After the area was shaved the vet also shared there was extreme swelling and additional lacerations requiring mandated rest for two weeks. The Dogaroo team are unable to provide specific answers as to how this happened. Colleen Hurley, Store Manager, explained that "it was a busy day with collapsed yards due to holidays and it was missed by the WAGs". Colleen seemed unconcerned about our dog's state until my husband and I pressed for answers; she then stated WAGs would have additional training, apologized for the incident and said she would send a get well package due to him being on rest for two weeks per the vets' instructions. The package never arrived and there haven't been any check-ins since our call on the 7th. Dogaroo's sole job is to keep our dog safe and was negligent in doing so. It makes me question if this is a normal occurrence for Dogaroo based on the little concern shown. Needless to say, we won't be returning and have since learned from our neighbors they've had poor experiences at Dogaroo as well. Service and genuine care are critical for any daycare, especially when issues occur, Dogaroo simply falls extremely short. read more

I am extremely disappointed in Doguroo. my dog had been going to them for years and I had reservations for boarding for Thanksgiving and Christmas of this year (2023). All of a sudden, one week before Thanksgiving, they decided my dog needed to be re-evaluated to determine if he could board with them. I know my dog sometimes has issues with other dogs, but they had never informed of any issues they had had with my dog. Now, all of a sudden, with only a week left until Thanksgiving and with most boarding places full, they said my dog needed to be re-evaluated!!!! it was very unprofessional!! I have to give kudos for great fixes and service as often as I complain as well. Thanks! Had an emergency with a busted pipe and flooding issue in our bathroom the morning of a grooming appointment. Didn't even have time to stop to call until 10 minutes after the appointment, but called to explain the emergency and reschedule. Was matter of factly told that we would have to pay $30 regardless of the emergency in order to reschedule. So I paid it to go ahead and get him on the books. But, when I said I would like to talk to a manager to explain the situation to see if we can get the fee waived, she abruptly replied "I am the manager". I asked "of the entire store?"... after some back and forth, she ultimately said no and gave me the managers info. I paid the fee to reschedule but will likely dispute it and take our puppy elsewhere as a matter of principle moving forward. I'm just not doing rudeness and poor customer service in 2020. read more

We love Doguroo. My two pups go to daycare twice a week and are always so exhausted when they leave. There are cameras where you can watch your furbaby play all day! The staff is nice and caring and seem to really love what they do. They have an excellent retail store that has all high-quality foods and treats at reasonable prices. They have a full-service grooming every day. And for piece of mind, they have an onsite veterinary clinic connected to the building for anything that might come up. My dog LOVES Doguroo but mostly she adores the staff. We have tried 5 other highly recommended daycares and she eventually was terrified of going. I would have to carry all 48 shivering pounds of her inside. It broke my heart. The great thing about Doguroo is that they group based on personality's. She's in a group with other milder dogs who just love to nap and sniff things. She loves going and has to say hi to every staff member at drop off. I love how they separate the dogs by level of personality. This place is top tier and great. I have multiple friends who take their dogs here and they all love it. Daycare is great, and dog boarding is even better. We recently placed our dog in boarding for two nights and requested a bath, and the works upon picking our dog up. She's like a cotton ball, I love it. They do such a good job and I have the utmost in trust for this place as they take part of our family and safely house her for a few days. So, I have nothing bad to say about the workers, they are all amazing and they all love dogs. But as someone who did work here, it's an awful environment for your pet to be in, especially if they are boarding for extended amounts of time. My biggest pet peeve was the fact that they had an outdoor yard and they just don't use it. Your dogs are pissing and shitting on the floor and since we had to mop up after them the floor was always wet and dogs couldn't run or release energy safely without slipping. Therefore we had a ton of pent up an animals stuck inside with no access to fresh air. It's better than other places i've been but i just think if you guys have an outside yard, you should really use it. The only reason you didn't was because your workers got tired of cleaning it. read more

Doguroo is a wonderful home away from home! My Aussie Ghost just finished training with Jamie. Wow! She is incredible. Meets your dog where they are, super positive, creative and loving. Ghost is full of energy, a little naughty and super smart. He now walks not pulls but yet walks on our walks with my 2 other dogs. He knows multiple commands and just overall has amazing manners without a personality change. Jamie is so engaged and effective. What she can give your dog in just 10 days is incredible! And you don't have to "send them away" where you don't know how they are treated. Ghost loved to play at daycare during the time he wasn't working. Came home exhausted every night. Win! I've been here a couple times only to buy my pups food ( I have not used their day care or grooming services) and my experience with Doguroo store has been fantastic! My 8 month old puppy has a more restrictive diet than I expected. He's allergic to chicken, and he's food sensitive to beef, so my vet recommended to switch him to a "limited ingredient diet". I had done some research on brands and proteins but when I came I felt a little lost. I explained my pup's situation to the girl at the register and she immediately stood up and helped me find the best dog food for my pup and most wallet friendly. She also went above and beyond by bringing me 6-7 free samples of dog food so my puppy could different proteins! Since then, I've been coming back for my dog's food and I plan to check out their dog treat selection soon. I'm super pleased with the friendly and knowledgeable staff at Doguroo and of course the variety of food brands they carry: - Zignature (dog food I purchased and my dog LOVES) - Fromm - Orijen - Taste of the Wild - Acana Just to name a few :) If you're looking for something specific just call and they'll let you know if they have it. I very rarely write reviews but I just have to!... This is the WORST boarding place ever! The last time I used them, like 4 years ago, I paid for a private suite for my dog & when I picked him up his soft crate was entirely soaked in urine and they couldn't explain why - so he must have been trapped in there for too long. I swore never again. Today, I had a moment of amnesia & I called to check availability for the holiday since my usual places were already booked up & my friend mentioned them again... I thought I would give them another chance & that I would just call it to their attention. Well when I finally got thru after multiple calls the girl was so rude on the phone, she said 'it's been too long and he will need to come in for an assessment but we can't get you in for 2 weeks and because he's so old we are concerned about him slipping" (He's 14 and super spry, acts like a pup)." I'll have to talk to my manager"...She came back and said 'yes my manager agrees, we can only put him on a wait list' OMG They are so pretentious and difficult. Been using Doguroo for grooming since December. They do a good job - my doodle always looks great. There's a problem with their timing though. They say my dog should be done in 3 hours and it's always longer. Last time it was 6.5 hours, time before 4.5 hours. Just don't understand why it has to take so long. This place is amazing! I bring my dog here for daycare way more often than I would like to admit (4 days a week)....she absolutely LOVES coming to Doguroo. Everyone who works here is so nice and my dog has really formed a bond with them. I buy a package of 10 days and it's a little cheaper. We also board her when we go out of town. She always comes home happy and extra cuddly. I know she is very well taken care of while we travel. If you are worried at all about how your dog is doing you can watch them playing on the web cameras! At first we did the puppy classes and at home training visits. The at home training was more helpful I think, mostly because they are one-on-one and my dog gets too excited when other dogs are around and won't listen to commands. Grooming is also great. She comes home smelling amazing and looking so fluffy and cute. I use the self-service dog wash after daycare because she rolls around in dog hair and sometimes smells like pee. It's super convenient instead of putting her in my car when she's dirty. I would definitely recommend this place! Big thumbs up. read more

I went to doguroo for their free(!!) puppy hour. Socialization is so important for dogs and I was very happy to find their offered this service. I felt that it was very helpful for our pug puppy. I filled out their online form providing proof of vaccinations. They gave me a bunch of coupons for free treats and discounted day care rates. They definitely take dogcare very seriously. Their prices are a little steep but reasonable for the level of service they provide. Boarding is $30/night and they require a test day for $15 to see if your dog is friendly. They do give you a discount if you get 8 nights though and it comes out to around $20/night which is very cheap. They also have free self serve dog washing stations! If I ever need a daycare or pet hotel I will definitely come here. I know they also provide a webcam for you to watch your fur baby while you're away. They also make their own dog treats with meat that is organic and locally sourced. They have a storefront that sells these treats, varieties of fancy dog food, toys, and everything else your dog might need to be a good boy. read more

A few more reasons to love Doguroo (formerly Wag-A-Lot): 1. Doggie video cameras. I worry about my precious Tikka during day care 'cause she's not the most social pup around. So while I'm at Octane just a few blocks away (in case something goes wrong), and pretending to work I can watch her the entire time. Soothes my soul. They also post pictures at the end of every day of daycare so I can share pics of her and her little doggie friends. Yes, I do that. 2. Great selection of foods. Turns out my pup's a seriously picky eater. Didn't like the salmon and sweet potato, wasn't too keen on the free range chicken, but luckily seems pretty pleased with the rabbit. And yes, my dog eats ten times better than I do. The kind folks who work here are happy to help you choose what works best and are up front about the pricing: they usually recommend a couple of choices across price levels. 3. Antlers. Goddamn Tikka loves gnawing on antlers, and they're the only place I've found that sells them. Sure, I feel like a gross redneck for buying them, but it keeps her occupied for hours and hours. Mama likey. 4. The Furminator. These little suckers cost $50+ each to buy, and that just seems like way too much for a brush. So instead, when Tikka gets a bath, I add on the Furmination treatment where they usually the special shampoos and then take the brush to her. And yes, it is a HUGE difference. Trust me, Tikka is both black and white so you're going to see her hair on you no matter what. She needs furmination, big time. Yep, I've been more than pleased with Doguroo for all of Tikka's needs: daycare, boarding, and baths. read more

I (my dog really) was one of their very first customers. When I worked close by, I took my little Daisy there for daycare several times a week. She loved it there and they loved her. I have many, many pictures as evidence (they take pictures every day and post them on the website) as well as many other assorted things (Daisy's certificate for winning the "most original Halloween costume" at their first Halloween party, Daisy's portrait from when the photographer was in to take pictures for the "back to school" night, etc.). Their retail area is great. I love their large selection of foods. Beth was super helpful whenever I have been looking for a new food for my dogs. She asks the right questions, gives some fantastic feedback, shares her own personal experiences, before offering me several options. After months of searching for a food that both of my dogs would like, Beth found us a winner. These days I take my little boy to Doguroo for daycare. He gets super excited when he realizes where he's going, talking to me the whole ride over. After a day of running around with other dogs, he comes home pooped and sleeps like a rock. Success. Picked up my girlfriend's dog from day boarding last week, and the place was well laid out, clean, and smelled nice. The guy at the counter was a little less that fully attentive as he was messing with his phone and made me wait to tell him which dog I needed. But that can be mostly overlooked. I liked the food selection, the availability to spy on your dog via iphone ap, and that the place looked tidy. With that being said, I can only give a 3 at this time due to limited experience here and the dude at the counter. read more

My Husky is an only child. And considering it's middle of summer with highs in the 90s, it's a little warm for him to be playing outside in a dog park or going for walks. So thank God I found Wag-A-Lot. I love it because I can get the dog out of the house (so I can clean the ridiculous amount of fur) and it gets him TONS of exercise without giving him a heat stroke AND he gets to socialize. When I first brought my dog here, the didn't just dump him in with the rest of the pack. They slowly incorporated him with the other dogs and made sure he fit in. There's nothing worse than putting a non-social dog with a group of social dogs. And this is their protocol for every dog that is brought in for the first time. They watch their temperament and overall social skills. Like every board facility, you gotta have proof that your dog has his vaccines. They don't want your dog giving mine and every else's dog kennel cough. The staff know all the regulars by name so all I have to do it drop my pup off and that's it! Everyone who works there is also very knowledgeable when it comes to dogs and understand their behavior. The facility is pretty much a huge warehouse with an outdoor section that has a doggie pool. They keep the big dogs and the little dogs separated and have "time-out" rooms when a dog gets a little too excited (yes...I know this from personal experience. I have a problem child.) On super hot summer days they keep the big, furry dogs (like mine) inside, which is a major plus. Also, if something happens to your dog, that call you ASAP (yeah...personal experience...again.) They also can board, bathe and groom dogs. Wag-A-Lot has "self-wash" areas, but for my dog it was a disaster. Just pay the extra $5 and get them to do the dirty work (literally). And when I bring my pup home, man is he tired. And it takes A LOT to tire out a Husky. It's kinda nice. This is a fantastic place to bring your dog for some social interaction without having to be there to watch your dog. They have doggie cams on their website so you can get a glimpse of your pooch while he's in doggie daycare. So for me, it's totally worth the $22. read more

It's great to be at a place that no matter who you run into, they always know your puppies by name. The staff is so kind and goes out of their way to accommodate you! There are about eight boarding facilities many miles closer to my home, but I've used Doguroo since 2012. They're very friendly and let me tour the facility when I dropped my Chihuahua off for a temperament test. Not only are the dens not like any dens you'd see at other kennels (think just that - a large den with plastic walls on all sides about half way up and fencing above that. It's clean, large and doesn't make you feel like your leaving your dog in a prison. When I got another dog they let me board them together in one den rather than separate, which was fabulous. And they are always on top of it. I was called when one of them got a scratch on their nose and on my last trip they found a little blood in some vomit from my little guy and kept a close eye on him - even let me call like a psycho four times that day to make sure he was doing all right. Like I said early, really great customer service! It's also comforting to know they have a vet on site if any issues arise. The dogs get to spend all day in an indoor play area with an outdoor yard for nicer weather. They keep dogs separated due to temperament or size. There are even cameras you can view to keep an eye on them. I get the option of putting them down for naps at noon and providing treats and goodies. I use the nap option all the time. Dogs need a little rest, plus mine get fed 3 times a day so it's a perfect time to chill and eat. It's in midtown Atlanta. Not exactly the easiest drive for someone living in the northern suburbs of Atlanta, but so worth it. And since I'm usually flying somewhere, it's extremely convenient to drop them off and head to the airport. Pricing is a bit higher than most other places, but the price is worth the peace of mind. This is your pet. Give them the best place when you're away. Stay for 8 days or longer and they give you a discount, which I've used a couple of times. In addition to the boarding they will also bath them for you. At $40+ it's not exactly cheap, but trust me when I say it can be worth it when you've just come back from a 4 1/2 hour red eye flight and you're picking them up at oh dark thirty. They've played for days. They need a bath. End of story. One of my pups has sensitive skin, so oatmeal scrub all the way! Summary. Price = quality = happy dog = go no where else! read more

She's wonderful, and I can happily say I have a new groomer! Yay :-) My first visit was last Saturday. I was greeted by a friendly face, and they even had doughnuts and coffee. This is definitely a great all in one-- daycare, grooming, and a store. You can even watch the live feed cameras of the dogs playing on their website. The only negative is that there is a dog smell-- if they could fix this (I know its probably tough) then this place would be perfection. I've been a huge fan of Doguroo even before they changed their name to Doguroo because I had heard such great things about them from my coworkers. When I got my 1.5lb puppy 6 weeks ago, I immediately registered her with them so she could go hang out with the doggies there. Unfortunately, this is also when I discovered that most daycares will not take puppies younger than 4 months (since that is when they get vaccinated for Rabies), and Ruby was only 8 weeks old. Thankfully, Heather from Doguroo agreed that socializing Ruby at her age was important and was willing to help me out by suggesting that I bring her in for grooming, where she would be able to meet a few of the other dogs in grooming, but couldn't get into too much trouble by playing with ALL the dogs. Of course, i happily agreed and have already taken Ruby in for 2 haircuts/mini-play-dates in the last 6 weeks. She came home both times looking adorable, unlike most Yorkie "puppy cuts" where they're essentially shaved except for their face..., so big special thanks to Michelle! Now, here is why I'm taking off a star: I needed to go out of town for two nights for work and needed to find a place to board Ruby (she is now 14 weeks old and 3lbs). Again, Heather from Doguroo was more than accommodating and said that I could board her in a small cubbie for $30/night and would just be allowed to socialize with the grooming kids. Awesome! I dropped off Ruby around 1pm on Thursday and picked her up Saturday around noon. 1) As soon as they brought Ruby out, she ran into my arms and climbed up my shoulder, as if to say "I'm ready to get out of here!" She has never done this before when I pick her up at Doguroo so my only guess is that she's been crated up a few too many hours. 2) She whined the entire drive home, whereas she normally just sleeps as soon as she gets in a car. I couldn't tell if she was hurt or what was wrong with her but just tried to ignore her so I wouldn't encourage whining in the future for attention. 3) As soon as we got home, she peed in her litter box, peed two more puddles in the kitchen, and pooped THREE times in a row! This pretty much cemented my guess that she was crated up all morning (and as I said, it was then 1pm in the afternoon). 4) Her poop was a funny color and much softer than usual. This, in combination with that fact that she had quite a bit of eye booger (which she almost never gets) and lots of tear stains, leads me to believe that she did not eat the organic dog food that I had left with her. I left more than 2 days' supply so maybe she kicked it out of her crate at night (very likely) or some other puppies got to it first. 5) Her bed and the towel that I use to line her bed just came out of the washer so they were still damp. This was expected because she needs to be let out every 4 hours and I doubt someone was on duty overnight, so that's no biggie. What is annoying is that when I got home to put the bed and towel on my deck to dry, it was lined with tons of dog hair, almost one of every length, color, and texture AND the bottom part of the bedding smelled like pee still. 6) Lastly, I was charged $70 for 2 nights. When I asked, they said they gave her the large den so she would have plenty of space. I wouldn't care about this if they had okay-ed it with me first, but it was clearly conveyed to me by Heather beforehand than she would only need the small $30/night cubbie. Just a surprise charge, that's all. 7) Sometime during her stay, she has picked up a barking habit...a LOUD one at that. I hope I can re-train her, especially since she will now bark as soon as she is in her crate, which means I have to restart crate training and sleep on the couch next to her for a few nights... More than likely, I will drop off Ruby for a day of boarding this week because I have to go out of town again. I assume most of her "issues" during her last stay was due to her age so I will try to get her vaccinated for Rabies before I leave (it would be 10 days earlier than originally planned). Hopefully she will be a bit happier when I pick her up next time and I could give back the one-star I took away. read more

We have two dogs and they love both the doggie day care and the boarding services. It's not cheap but you can see the energy and care from the staff. If you have two dogs, this is a good place for boarding as the dogs can share a larger kennel together. read more
