i just recently got a new kitten and have been getting her food from petsmart , but wasn't seeing a lot of raw options and/or just more natural/healthy noms noms . i decided to pop into this shop today and was pleasantly surprised to see this local , cute shop !! the options they had were sooooo good !! the prices are super reasonable and the customer service makes it all the better ! mr. joe in particular was so helpful and knowledgeable . he answered all my questions & he gave me some good samples for my kitty to try . he made sure to let me know if she didn't like it , i could bring it back and exchange it which gives me a piece of mind . 10/10 store and they have so many options for you to choose from . i got so many goodies i'm excited for my cat to try . i will definitely recommend and i will definitely be back . read more

Park Pet has been so unbelievably amazing during the Covid-19 pandemic. I adopted a cat in April. Not just a cat but my first cat. Ever. So I know I need stuff but I don't know exactly what. Or what kind or how much. I have called Park Pet probably half a dozen times for cat supplies. And they have been absolute angels every time. Because as I said, I don't even know what I need. I love this place!!! The staff are super nice and knowledgeable. I got my dog as a rescue almost 2 years ago after about 6 years of starvation/neglect. Victoria the owner has recommended things to me for him that I feel have really helped him. This place has been on it with his every need. Maybe 5 years ago. I was traveling from IL staying with family in Griffin. Park Pet Supply was the closest store that carried Stella and Chewy's freeze dried dog food. I purchased a large bag of beef. They have leashes, toys, snacks, and a large, large selection of food. There is a wash facility for your pet next door as well. You should stop in. read more

Park Pet Supply is my dog's favorite store and lucky for her we live down the street. This place is a one stop shop for all of her favorite things- food, treats, naturally shed antlers, and even baths! Park Pet Supply sells multiple brands of natural dog food, treats, and toys and they are willing to order at your request. I switched my bi-weekly Pet's Mart purchase of Wellness dog food over to Park Pet Supply because they are cheaper and willing to stock the version that my dog eats. I would much prefer to support a local business in my neighborhood, too. Park Pet Supply also operates a "wash your own dog" spa right next door. For $15 you can use their facility which includes a variety of shampoo/conditioner options, secure bath area with a gate, towels, ear cleaner, nail trimmer, blow dryer, etc. We stop in at least once a month for a bath. I love this option because it keeps my bathroom clean and allows me to bathe my dog without having to drop her off somewhere. There is also a grooming facility on site. I have only used them for nail trims but will give them a try next time my dog needs a shave. The staff here are always friendly and welcoming and often have treats on hand for my girl. They also offer a "frequent bather card" that you can stamp each visit in order to earn a free wash and a customer loyalty card that earns you free treats after you spend a certain dollar amount. THE BEST local pet store in the area. I've been to a lot, mostly because I hate Amazon and refuse to shop Amazon and sometimes, PetCo or PetSmart just don't have what I need. Five stars because: 1. Really friendly, helpful staff 2. Large cat section in addition to dog section, aka not biased 3. Have hard to find items like cat water fountain filters that I thought could be purchased only on Amazon, but alas, I can keep my fountain and buy filters from here! 4. COMPETITIVE PRICES. LEGIT. Everything and everyone associated with Park Pet Supply has won me over completely. I've actually frequented this location several times over the last couple of years but my sole purpose was to use their self serve dog washing service. You pay inside Park Pet Supply and head next door (into Fur Side Grooming) where three separate deep bathtubs reside that include everything (and more) you could possibly need to wash your pooch. And the price range is between $10 and $13, depending on the size of your pooch. The bathtub and wash items that are provided include (but are not limited to) : regular shampoo, flea & tick shampoo , whitening shampoo which is a big bonus and really does wonders for my pup's coat, mild conditioner, and more that all leave your dog smelling as fresh as a daisy. :) Yep. They even supply different length leashes that securely harness your doggie in the tub so he or she won't attempt to or jump out as mine always wishes to do. After their bath, you have the option to clip their nails (with clippers that are provided) clean their ears, then dry them with a pretty loud & powerful industrial-like dryer hose. My pup prefers to air dry on his own. Oh, yeah! I almost forgot the big full-size plastic apron provided for us humans to keep us dry which is another big bonus. I wear it every time. :) So, back to the pet store where all your pups' AND kitties needs can be met with top-of-the-line products along with more than affordable pricing, - especially compared to the big pet chain stores. I finally took the time to really look around Pet Park Supply (not just use the self wash service) and seriously encountered amazing customer service from both Mary Ellen and Kristen. They couldn't be more passionate about animals and treated my little guy like a king. Another great perk you get when visiting Park Pet Supply is the fact that it is somewhat small and compact which in return makes it simple and convenient to find what you're looking for. No more searching high and low through (mostly) unnecessary products and/or overpricing of the products you do need. How is this so?? -Simple : because they only have the best of the best! ALL of their food products, treats, etc. are full of natural ingredients, lots of organic choices,and more that have your pets' best interest at heart. This is one of the most expensive dog stores i've been to and their return policy is ONLY store credit which I feel they should be telling people when they check out. I shop at small dog stores and feed my dog mostly raw or high end kibble so price isn't usually a problem but geez. There are way more affordable small dog stores nearby. read more

I googled this business and it got great reviews. I drove 30 minutes to get there. It was lovely and had all the supplies vitamins, etc. that you would ever want and the guy that waited on me was really customer service Orient that he even suggested I bring my pups down so we could customize the collars and lease shows that I were purchasing and I agreed because the leashes and harnesses that I were interested in he stated it were half off. When I got back with my dogs, they were excited that was their first Audi and they tinkled a little bit around the store. I apologize profusely and they were OK but there was one customer service rep that seemed extremely annoyed and I understand I get it, but it felt uncomfortable for me being there. The guy who suggested I bring the dogs down didn't wait on me which I was disappointed because I thought we had a connection and I really liked his customer service. The young lady that did wait on me she inevitably was very helpful but at first she seemed annoyed two young pups. They were jumping excited tinkling I get it but still you work at a pet store and I felt a little uncomfortable and a bit unwanted when we went to the sales desk and we rang up everything I was not provided with the half off on the leashes another customer service rep. Perhaps the owner said they were only 25% off OK fine when she did the math she deducted 25% off but she charged me sales tax again without reducing the sales tax, or removing the sales tax from the original sales , I don't know if I'm extremely satisfied with the service and I may or may not visit the store again. the area where they suggested you go out and walk your dogs was surrounded with broken glass small liquor bottles and certainly not conducive for walking dogs. read more

Definitely the best local pet store in Atlanta. Right in EAV, Park Pet Supply is closed to walk-ins but still open for business using text, email, or phone call orders! They are SO personable (even though I've never met them in real life!!) and they give awesome advice on the phone/email. Curbside pickup is a breeze, too. Over the holidays I took in a rescue for a few days and knew I knew I needed a rain coat when I heard the forecast said there was a chance of rain the next day. I used foursquare to find the closest pet store. Since I was in EAV, Park Pet came up first in the search. I called and spoke to Kristen who informed me that there was sale and that the rainwear was only twelve dollars. I was only a couple of blocks away so I went over immediately and Kristen led me to the selection of rain wear and showed me my choices. While I am not a full-time Atlanta resident, I do make a point of stopping in here every time I'm in town for... just about everything that either my cat or dog needs, wants or desires. Stopped by to check this place out while in the area, and I was very impressed by the employees. They were very knowledgeable about their products / what food brands are better than others, and they suggested a new puppy food after hearing about my struggles with getting my puppy to eat. I didn't feel pressured to buy, in fact they sent me home with several sample packs to try from different brands to see what my pup would like before committing to switching. Excellent service today!! 25 minute drive from my house, but totally worth the trip! Will definitely be back! Let alone, a store associate previously stated that I'd be able swap out a freedom harness should my dog chew through it. It happened and I returned to get a new one and swap it out. I was told that it actually needed to be done through the manufacturer which is completely understandable. However, after I informed the other store clerk that was assisting me with the swap that I was told I could swap it out, they honored that for me there. Additionally, the service was excellent through in and through out! Love this place. Just wish it was a closer drive. read more

Love, love, LOVE it. After realizing that the wait was way too long at the threading place across the street, I decided to stop in to Park Pet Supply and was swept away. It's a a little shop, but it's got everything you need. It seems that precious Tikka is allergic to the food I had selected for her, so I decided to browse the options at Park Pet. Both saleswomen were incredibly friendly in helping me find the right choice for my dog within my budget. Yay for that. They also helped me find a lot of different products to help her out with her separation issues, but were never pushy about it. It's definitely worth the trek from Midtown for the great service, and I'll be back to check out the dog wash next door! read more

We recently stumbled into this place, because we were leaving the gym and didn't want to go all the way to the pet store in Edgewood (which really isn't that far) just to get some koi food. We took a gamble to see if this place had any, and not only did they, it was cheaper than the national pet store!! I have to admit, that I was pushing to go here, as well, because I am all about supporting local business, and as a dog and fish owner, it is high time we start supporting our local pet store. Along with others, we were also weirded out by the pet food recall thing, and as such, switched our dog's food to total organic food that we buy here. The staff is super helpful, and always kind and totally awesome. I would go here over PetSmart, PetCo, or any of those national chains any day. They even have a friendly in-store pet cat! I am telling you, if you live anywhere near the EAV, do yourself a favor, and start shopping here for your pet needs. Not only is great to support such a wonderful local business, you will totally get everything you need, and get it with a smile, and even suggestions for better alternatives when they are available. This place hit my radar because of the great reviews here on Yelp - and it lived up to my expectations. I rented my Zipcar and drove over. Tip: there is ample parking behind the back! I'm getting two kittens, and have not had pets for a long time. So I need *everything*, including a bit of help. I walk in, and tell them this. The staff was great! They were able to explain the pros and cons of different products and were mindful of prices. The store isn't as big as the chains, but they had a good selection of everything I needed. I walked out paying about 50% of what I had expected to for a "everything for 2 kittens" trip. One of the employees brought my purchases to the back when I pulled my car around. Once I make sure that the kittens are happy with the food and litter, I will head back to stock up! read more

After the whole dog/cat food scare I decided the best thing for my dogs was for them to eat organic doggy food. One day I was eating my usual Sunday dunch at the Earl (there will be a review for that coming soon, my friends) and looked across the street and saw Park Pet Supply. My friends and I decided to stroll across the street and found a store filled with many brands of organic pet food, cute collars and leashes, nice treats, and toys. The owner and people who work there are so nice and knowledgeable, but you almost have to wait in line to get the dirt on the best food for your pet- that is the only drawback. It's a tiny store so there are maybe only two people working there that can assist you with their many varieties of pet food. But once you know what you want it's easy to just walk in and browse and then get what you want. They will even give you samples of the food so you can take them home and see what your pet likes. But don't abuse their graciousness! They also offer (for some brands) a buy x amount of bags of food, get one free deal, as well as a key chain they punch when you spend the required amount and that goes toward treats. I think I have already gotten about 3-4 small bags of food in the last few years, which is wonderful! I feel a lot better feeding my pups this food, and the prices are very good for a bag of food that makes you feel secure feeding to your animals! After all the hype in the news I am more than willing to go to a place that makes sure they have your very best interests at heart! read more

This is one of the best pet supply stores in Atlanta. I would say THE BEST but I haven't been to every single pet supply store in Atlanta. The people who work here are so informed and helpful. They love my dogs when I come in even though my dogs can be a little nutty. The store not only offers high quality foods you can trust but also really unique toys, leashes, clothing etc. You won't find cool stuff like this in the bigger box stores like Petsmart. I've been coming here for years but I think the experience that stands out to me most is the day I came in wanting to switch to a better food for my dog. I had discovered how bad Iams really is and had already done a lot of research on some higher protein foods that would be better for my high energy dog. I had narrowed it down to 2 or 3 different foods and I came in to Park Pet Supply to ask for help in making a final decision. They told me what they liked about each and asked me some questions about my dogs and my budget and gave me insight into feedback from other customers. They never said "this is my favorite" or "this is the best" they were actively trying to help me figure out which was best for my dog and my situation. They knew about the size plants where each food is made and how they choose their ingredients and basically everything you could possibly want to know! I was able to make a more informed decision because of the knowledgeable staff at Park Pet Supply. Park Pet Supply's prices are also very reasonable. I've compared the cost of Taste of the Wild with the same size bag at Pet Supplies Plus and the prices were almost identical. I still can't walk out of this place without spending $75-$100. This is directly related to my lack of self control though. After buying two big bags of dog food I always add treats, bully sticks, toys, etc. I'm just giving a friendly warning to bring your self control with you when you visit. You'll need it. read more

When we got our first dog, we went totally neurotic about what we'd feed him. We wanted human-grade ingredients, organic, and from a locally-owned business. So, we stumbled into Park Pet - it's one of the few places that have the brand we wanted. We've been customers for 7 years. We (myself & two mastiffs) LOVE park pet. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. They actually carry items for giant breeds which is a huge plus for us and have some of the best prices on specialty dog foods in the area. The biggest plus for me is the self service dog wash. Yep you read it right self service dog wash. Why pay a groomer $50-$100 to bathe your dog if you can do it yourself for about $13. It's a perfect option for me. Try bathing 200+ pound dogs in your bathtub at home, you'll spend the next three hours cleaning up the bathroom, the hallway they run into, the living room after they shake off, etc, etc. Elevated tubs keep you from breaking your back. They provide high quality shampoos and creme rinses, ear cleaning supplies and a ton of different brushes, towels and a dryer. Your doggie will leave smelling like a rose or vanilla and oatmeal depending on your choice of dog shampoo. read more
