They are completely unreliable. They overcharged me. I wouldn't trust them with my pet ever again.

The people really care! I had the pleasure of meeting Teko and Asia, the owner. The employees were so helpful and kind in answering all my questions. I dropped my dog off for a "vibe check" during the day prior to boarding, which I really appreciated because it helped both parties get a better sense of service comparability. Overall, mochi had such a great time and came home completely exhausted and happy. If I weren't just in ATL for a few weeks, I would 100% use this service again! Special mention: I loved receiving a "report card" at the end of each day in boarding. It was so fun getting to see what my dog was up to while I was gone!

Absolutely highly recommend City Dogz!!! This is an overdo review from over a month of my dog…read moreconsistently coming to City Dogz, so settle in - it's long but I hope helpful! I honestly don't leave reviews very often, but I really want to support this business and see them succeed because they have been so great to both me and my dog Goose. I have a high energy, high anxiety 3 year old goldendoodle with some quirks. This is the 3rd day care we've tried in as many years and this team has by far made me feel the most comfortable out of any daycare we've tried out. Before we booked our vibe day one of their team members spent at least 30 minutes on the phone with me listening to my concerns (based on previous day cares we've visited) answering my questions with so much patience and kindness. They actually communicate with me at pick up and drop off (I don't have to try to pull information out of them, they update me and let me know if there is anything I should be aware of) and are very responsive over text. I can tell the owner and staff not only truly care about my dog, but also know their stuff - how to make appropriate corrections when needed, how to separate groups, give breaks, etc. based on each dogs needs. Previous day cares I've gone to both indoor only and indoor/outdoor have sent my 65lb dog home pretty dirty at times which almost makes daycare more of a pain (having to unexpectedly bath my big wild boy is not something that's a quick and easy process). Not only does he not come home dirty, but one time the owner Azhia brought him out when I was picking him up and I was like "why does he smell clean?". She said that she always thought it was a pain when she would pick her dogs up from daycare and they were a mess and so she goes the extra mile for her clients (they wipe them down as needed - but you can also easily add on things like teeth brushing, nail dreamels, licky mats, baths, etc. for small extra charge) They let them be dogs and get messy while they're there which I love, but I literally picked up a cleaner dog then I dropped off . Their outdoor area is pretty large with different sections for different dogs, has a sandbox and kiddy pool, etc. but they also have an indoor area. They upload pictures and videos on their site that you get linked to in text/email vibe reports everyday they visit, which is so fun and they update their IG account with stories everyday so you get some great pics and videos of your pet, as well as a bit of an understanding of their day. One of the team members Brice and I have gotten to know each other a bit at pick ups and drop offs over quick chats, since they come out to your car for both (another perk!) I happened to mention Goose needed to be groomed but I was trying to figure out how to make it work with my current schedule. He told me that he knew an excellent groomer that he could have come to City Dogz and they would just bring him in for his groom in time for me to pick him up. Not only did she do a fantastic job, but she has very competitive pricing as well. I used to pick up my dog from a daycare, where I could literally see on the camera that their staff was just sitting in the room looking at their phones while dogs just kind of walked or laid around. My dog wasn't necessarily excited to get dropped off and would come back acting like he hadn't been mentally or physically enriched for lack of a better word. Not only does my dog rush to the gate excited to go inside at City Dogz, but he also snuggles up to the various team members when he gets picked up so I know he is happy there and trusts them. He's also generally calm when he gets picked up so I know he got some good energy out. Doggy day care and boarding is too expensive to drop money when you don't feel comfortable that your dog is getting the right play and attention and care in my opinion. I'm so happy with my experience, when my commute changes, I'll end up driving out of my way to bring Goose here as needed, as opposed to the option that is just down here street for me. I'm sure you're all sick of reading if you've made it this far . Check them out, they're the best!!!

After a few trials with other boarding options (e.g. Popeye coming home with substantial skin irritations or reeking of cigarette smoke), we had largely given up on traveling without him. Circumstances, however, don't always allow for pet-friendly travel, and luckily, Katie and Zack had just formally announced their services after we learned that we needed to attend a wedding. Having seen the advocacy that Katie has provided for animals in neighborhood groups, I guessed they would show the attentiveness we were seeking. Popeye stayed with atlanimal for four nights, and each day included at least three updates texted to my wife. These included regular updates on his comings and goings and pictures and memes of Popeye enjoying his time with his temporary family (including, much to the delight of Popeye's feline-obsessed self, some of the resident cats of atlanimal). Katie and Zack were attentive, extremely communicative, and accommodating, willing to reconfigure their living space for Popeye's comfort and needs. So while my wife and I might not be ready to become regular pet-free travelers again, I'll at least know that Popeye will be in good hands should we take that occasional trip away.

I dropped my dog off at 8:30, and was greeted by Nicole another person at the front desk. The groomer, Alarria, hadn't arrived yet. When I dropped him off I asked them to check and see if he was excessively matted in any areas so that I could try to get any of the matting out and also so I knew what to expect. They called the groomer and described what was going on and let me know that she said she could handle it , I even brought them the specific shampoo the groomer recommended for detangling. The groomer texted me at 10 and said " Hey This is Alarria from The Pet Set , So I've examined Hendrix and todays total is going to be $235 . $135 for the bath, services , and haircut . $100 for the dematting process". I said ok sounds good. At 1:30 she texted me letting me know his belly and sides of face needed to be shaven due to matting. I said ok, and said I just want it to look appropriate. I just didn't want it to look bad. At 5:30 I texted and asked if she was still grooming him and she said yes. And then at 6 PM she texted me this "Hey so , After working on getting off all the Matts safety off it took a lot more work than originally expected. I had to get other groomers to help me hold and demat him through the whole service so he wouldn't move and so we were able to get him finished in a timely manner. With that being said today his price would be $285 . Payments today will be made Via Cash , Cashapp , Zelle , and / or Venmo ." I'm not sure what she meant by getting him done in a timely manner because he had been there for 10 hours. And she was trying to charge me and additional $50 on top of the initial $100 dematting fee. She was still working on his face when I arrived and you could tell she was rushing. She also told me that I was going to have to put in work to get the Matts out of his face which but I had agreed to having it shaved down. So she went back and shaved it down. Even after him being there for 10 hours you can tell parts of his cut was rushed. His ears are uneven and the hair around his privates is not cut properly. I expressed my concern with her charging me an additional $50 on top of the fees I already agreed to and she got mad and said I'm always difficult and that she refuses to ever groom my dog again. This was my second time coming. I never got upset and remained calm although her attitude was really bad. They also told me I could only pay via Zelle or cash app directly to Alerria which I thought was weird but I paid the initial agreed upon amount of $235. I think the should have set dematting prices on their website and they should also limit the number of dogs they take at a time so that there isn't such a lengthy wait to get your dog back and they can pay more attention to the details of their work. I would have liked to of spoken with the owner or a manager but maybe after writing this review someone will reach out.
