Excited pups on their way to daycare!

Millie and Major, my two very energetic doodles love Dogtopia! They know when we are getting close and start going bananas in the backseat; they can't get out of the car fast enough. Diane and her staff are absolutely wonderful. I am a neurotic dog mom and they are always so kind to me, but most importantly my dogs. It is such a blessing to be able to go on trips and not have to worry about my pups, because I know they are being loved and cared for! They always come home somehow still smelling great and completely exhausted. We love Dogtopia!

We adopted 3 husky pups which, with 4 children, has proven to be quite the journey; especially since all of them (the pups) were exhibiting strong behavior of anxiety. We knew we had to get them socialized so they could better engage in healthy activities away from home. We tried our hand at 4 different dog centers, all of which were a fail for one reason or another. We were becoming very discouraged, until we had the opportunity to talk to the people Dogtopia. whom I found in a Google search. Their demeanor on the phone was beyond encouraging. Their intake over the phone was inviting and felt very personal. They took the time to understand our dogs and what we were looking for as pet owners before inviting us in for a meet and greet. During our first meet and greet Diane, the owner, was there to walk us through the process she felt was best, based on what I'd told her about the pups. Although our dogs were reacting better than any of the other centers we visited when they first arrived, they didn't take to the meet and greet very well. Despite the staff's efforts to slowly introduce the dogs to their new environment, our dogs were showing fear anxiety with the staff and even more so with the other dogs through cowering, peeing, and growling. Diane and the staff determined our dogs weren't ready, however, hope was not lost. They sent us home with tools they wanted us to try before bringing them back for another meet and greet. In addition, they knew we were working with a trainer and suggested we have her call the center so she may collaborate with them on additional methods that would support the pups in our efforts. For weeks we dove into our homework, scheduling play dates with our neighbor pups and taking the dogs with us everywhere that would give them more exposure to people and other animals. All the while our trainer and Diane met to create a plan for another meet and greet. On the day of our next meet and greet, Diane came out with her team prepared to take the dogs in for another trial. The pups were showing a lot more positive engagement through body wags and kisses...... I'm sure this had nothing to do with all of the treats they were getting. :) The staff took them into the back while we watched on camera. Although the dogs were still a bit hesitant with this new environment, they were doing significantly better. With the staff understanding what methods were a good fit for the pup's introduction, we got to see less fear anxiety around the other dogs. It was amazing!!!! We still have a little more progress to make before we can be completely comfortable with our dog's ability to be around others, but the progress they've made thus far took the hard work of an extremely dedicated family. Diane and her team are exactly that. They are a family unit working with other families to build a positive and safe environment for dogs no matter what their story is. Never have I met a dog center so passionate about what they do. It's expressed in the demeanor of the owner and all of the staff that work there. I look forward to providing another positive update when we visit again. Until then, here's a picture of our 3 babies after their first successful meet and greet.

For people that are interested in checking out Dogtopia, DO IT!! This is by far the absolute best place to take your dogs. Everyone here is amazing. Especially Autumn and Macie, but their entire staff here is loving and kind. King Louie loves to come here, he runs in the front doors ready to have fun. They have video cameras so that you are able to view you loved one and watch them have fun. They have an option for fun holiday pics and the option to purchase pupachinos is fantastic. I cannot say enough how happy we are to have found Dogtopia. Even for someone who is as nervous about leaving their dog someplace new, my mind is completely at easy when he goes to play. Their groomers do a wonderful job too.

In looking at both your info as well as the reviews it seems that you are primarily a day care center with large dogs that might do extended stay for say a short vacation. Is that a good analysis?

Her impact is profound, yet she rarely speaks of it. She simply shows up--day after day, year after year--offering her skill, compassion, and time to the people and pets who need her most. Dr. Kaur is known throughout our region as a veterinarian who leads with her heart. She routinely provides free spay and neuter surgeries for low‑income families and for individuals who have no means to pay. She never advertises this generosity; she simply steps in when she sees a need. For many pet owners, her kindness is the difference between keeping a beloved companion or surrendering them. For countless cats and kittens, her willingness to help has prevented suffering and reduced the number of unwanted litters entering local shelters. Her partnership with Kitten Central--our nonprofit neonatal veterinary hospital--has been invaluable. For over fifteen years, Dr. Kaur has been the person we call when emergencies arise, when a fragile newborn kitten needs immediate intervention, or when we face a medical question that requires expert insight. She has never once turned us away. Her guidance has saved lives that would not have survived without her. One of the most meaningful examples of her community impact is her involvement in Senior Saturdays, a monthly outreach program she participates in with one of our board members. Together, they visit nursing homes and assisted‑living communities, bringing small, gentle kittens for residents to hold and interact with. These visits are more than a moment of joy--they are therapy. Residents who seldom speak begin talking. Those who rarely smile light up. Individuals with memory challenges become calm and engaged. Dr. Kaur handles each kitten with tenderness and each resident with dignity, creating a bridge of comfort between generations. Her presence transforms the room. Despite her extensive volunteer work, Dr. Kaur maintains a demanding professional schedule. She works four days a week at one Rocklin Ranch location and fills in at their other practice whenever a veterinarian is sick or on vacation. Most people would call that exhausting. She calls it relaxing. Her dedication to her profession is matched only by her love for the animals and families she serves. What makes Dr. Kaur truly exceptional is not just the number of hours she gives, but the spirit in which she gives them. She never seeks recognition. She never asks for credit. She simply believes that helping animals--and the people who love them--is her responsibility as a veterinarian and as a member of this community. I am certain that what I know of her contributions is only a fraction of the whole. Her humility means that much of her good work happens quietly, without fanfare. But the impact is unmistakable: healthier pets, supported families, comforted seniors, and a stronger, more compassionate community. For her unwavering service, her extraordinary generosity, and her deep commitment to both people and animals, Dr. Sukeep Kaur deserves to be recognized as Veterinarian of the Year. Her work has touched thousands of lives, and our community is immeasurably better because of her.

The reviews here seem to be glowingly positive and I wanted to support a local business. Sadly, I was greatly disappointed. My concerns and reason for visit were consistently not taken seriously. For example, when I brought my pet in with upper respiratory issues, I was told "it's not that bad." Well, if ignored, it is actually /is/ that bad. Repeatedly, I sensed a hesitancy to treat my pets' issues proactively, and found the bedside manner here to be sorely lacking. I brought in my pet with symptoms consistent with an upper respiratory infection. Instead of any antibiotics, I was prescribed steroids and an inhaler, which were consistently ineffective. Unfortunately, I allowed this to go on for far too long at this vet and should have listened to my instincts. Three months into this treatment (still without antibiotics), I was told that since my pet didn't respond to steroids, "it's probably cancer" and told to get in with a specialist asap (and that it would be many thousands of dollars). I'll admit I do not have a PhD, but this doesn't seem like very scientific diagnostic criteria to leap to cancer. I fully acknowledge that the realm of veterinary medicine is vast and we still don't know that much about the body in the grand scheme of things, but being consistently ignored and then leaping directly to cancer seems like a stretch. I sought a second opinion at my previous vet, who agreed that leaping to cancer without diagnostics was kind of cruel to my mental health. They promptly issued antibiotics. I also scheduled an appointment with internal medicine elsewhere out of fear from hearing the "cancer" word thrown around. Sure enough, there was a bacterial infection that should have been treated with antibiotics. Due to the delays and not prescribing an antibiotic, the bacterial infection was allowed to go on far too long, resulting in bony destruction. Despite the vet claiming I needed to urgently get my pet in with internal medicine, we still experienced lengthy delays getting copies of my pet's medical records--unfortunately, many internal medicine specialists will not schedule an appointment with you until they've received the records from the prior vet, which just led to further delays. The poor communication, poor attitude, and poor bedside manner further tanked my opinion of my experiences here. Dropping the "cancer" bomb on me with no diagnostics--rude and poorly handled, honestly. I also felt like there was a consistent attitude against me wanting to see the pricing before agreeing to treatment. It should be noted that I agreed to the treatments, however, we all know that in the veterinary and medical world, sometimes there's sticker shock when you see the price. I'd prefer transparency. Asking to see the pricing before committing to expensive treatment seemed to earn quite a few huffs and puffs from staff and the doctor. Overall, my biggest lesson learned here is to get a second opinion, particularly when the symptoms are downplayed for far too long and then the diagnosis suddenly leaps from "asthma" to "cancer." Trust your gut. This is just one example (definitely the most expensive) of my experiences here, but they were consistent enough for me to feel that this was a pattern.

I have not yet had a consultation or brought my dog here but after calling multiple veterinarians…read moreand receiving horrible customer service, I called Sierra Ranch and was met with warmness and a very informative representative.
