Went here for a meet and greet to see if it was a good fit for our pup and left immediately. The rooms are so small with a lot of dogs and there are NO TOYS! Not a single toy or anything for the dogs to do! They were all just standing around barking anxiously. This is only a small step above a pound. My dog, Paleka went to Dogtopia of Rocklin for ~1.5 years before we just moved away from the area recently. Paleka always left happy with his tail wagging and clean after a day of doggie daycare. I've had previous experience taking him to other daycares as we've moved around, and none have been as clean and well-run as Dogtopia of Rocklin. Millie and Major, my two very energetic doodles love Dogtopia! They know when we are getting close and start going bananas in the backseat; they can't get out of the car fast enough. Diane and her staff are absolutely wonderful. I am a neurotic dog mom and they are always so kind to me, but most importantly my dogs. It is such a blessing to be able to go on trips and not have to worry about my pups, because I know they are being loved and cared for! Not impressed. I stopped by to check this place out. I wanted a place to board out 1.5yr old dog. First and foremost. I walked in to see four young girls sitting around in the reception area like there was nothing for them to do. One was on talking on her phone. One was surfing on her phone. All while two dogs were barking non stop the entire 5 min I was there. This barking could be heard outside before even entering this place. That alone should have kept me from going inside. When I told them I wanted to check the place out, I was told that they didn't have any openings for a meet and greet until next week. I didn't have my dog with me, why would that even be an issue? I just wanted to check the place out. Not one of these lazy kids could be bothered to get up and show me around. All they wanted to know was if I wanted to make an appointment for next week. Again, I said I just wanted to check the place out.... Crickets, no one there was willing to let me check the place out, or should I say no one could be bothered to get off their butts to do anything. I can't see why there are so many good reviews about this place. Two dogs barking consistently the entire time with nobody concerned about there welfare. I never did get to see where the dogs are kept. Judging by the lack of concern from all four people there, run away from this place and never look back. read more

I started bringing my dog here last year in December. For an indoor playroom, dogtopia is the best in Rocklin. Staff are always friendly and the front is very clean. I love how I can check on my dog to see how he's doing while he's there through the Dogtopia app since they have a webcam feature. The app is also very user friendly to book and cancel appointments. Prices are very reasonable too. Overall, my dog loves coming here and is always tired when I bring him home. read more

I took my five year old husky here for his evaluation and I have to say the staff was wonderful and very welcoming. The facility was clean and I would have no complaints if I owned a smaller dog. The only reasons we did not return were that I felt the play area was too small for the large dogs (especially with the room lined with kennels) and the one hour "quiet time", where they put the dogs in those kennels and I believe feed them lunch. My dog is not crate trained and I was told he was barking and trying to get out during that hour. This is of no fault to Dogtopia and I would still recommend them. read more

I would give Dogtopia of Rocklin 10 stars if it was an option. From the moment my puppy Golden walked through their doors for the first time to today, Diane and staff have been beyond extraordinary to work with. Not only do they make it a point to know the owner and greet you by name (and have a conversation!), but the affection they display EVERY day for our dogs is endless. It's heartwarming and so appreciated. My Golden had a recent accident that required a trip to the vet with stitches and was also scheduled to be boarded in a few days. While he was approved for boarding by his vet (along with special care for staples and meds), I still had some reservation about leaving him behind. Diane made me feel completely at ease and assured me he would be closely supervised and given lots of extra love and attention. This is just one of the many reasons I love Dogtopia of Rocklin. Of course the exhausted puppy after a 1/2 day of playtime and flexibility with drop offs/pickups ranks right up there too! Just an incredibly run daycare and boarding facility. We adopted 3 husky pups which, with 4 children, has proven to be quite the journey; especially since all of them (the pups) were exhibiting strong behavior of anxiety. We knew we had to get them socialized so they could better engage in healthy activities away from home. We tried our hand at 4 different dog centers, all of which were a fail for one reason or another. We were becoming very discouraged, until we had the opportunity to talk to the people Dogtopia. whom I found in a Google search. Their demeanor on the phone was beyond encouraging. Their intake over the phone was inviting and felt very personal. They took the time to understand our dogs and what we were looking for as pet owners before inviting us in for a meet and greet. During our first meet and greet Diane, the owner, was there to walk us through the process she felt was best, based on what I'd told her about the pups. Although our dogs were reacting better than any of the other centers we visited when they first arrived, they didn't take to the meet and greet very well. Despite the staff's efforts to slowly introduce the dogs to their new environment, our dogs were showing fear anxiety with the staff and even more so with the other dogs through cowering, peeing, and growling. Diane and the staff determined our dogs weren't ready, however, hope was not lost. They sent us home with tools they wanted us to try before bringing them back for another meet and greet. In addition, they knew we were working with a trainer and suggested we have her call the center so she may collaborate with them on additional methods that would support the pups in our efforts. For weeks we dove into our homework, scheduling play dates with our neighbor pups and taking the dogs with us everywhere that would give them more exposure to people and other animals. All the while our trainer and Diane met to create a plan for another meet and greet. On the day of our next meet and greet, Diane came out with her team prepared to take the dogs in for another trial. The pups were showing a lot more positive engagement through body wags and kisses...... I'm sure this had nothing to do with all of the treats they were getting. :) The staff took them into the back while we watched on camera. Although the dogs were still a bit hesitant with this new environment, they were doing significantly better. With the staff understanding what methods were a good fit for the pup's introduction, we got to see less fear anxiety around the other dogs. It was amazing!!!! We still have a little more progress to make before we can be completely comfortable with our dog's ability to be around others, but the progress they've made thus far took the hard work of an extremely dedicated family. Diane and her team are exactly that. They are a family unit working with other families to build a positive and safe environment for dogs no matter what their story is. Never have I met a dog center so passionate about what they do. It's expressed in the demeanor of the owner and all of the staff that work there. Especially Autumn and Macie, but their entire staff here is loving and kind. King Louie loves to come here, he runs in the front doors ready to have fun. They have video cameras so that you are able to view you loved one and watch them have fun. They have an option for fun holiday pics and the option to purchase pupachinos is fantastic. I cannot say enough how happy we are to have found Dogtopia. Even for someone who is as nervous about leaving their dog someplace new, my mind is completely at easy when he goes to play. I can't say enough good things about our experience with Dogtopia! From the first meet-n-greet to the care my dog receives - everything has been wonderful! Diane, the owner, is amazing. She takes her time to explain what happens at Dogtopia, aspects that set them apart such as hiring adults with special needs and answering any questions during the tour. She said several times that her goal is to be transparent; which I appreciate a great deal when leaving my furry family member somewhere! The desk staff and dog handlers have all been amazing as well! They answer any questions I might have with a smile and they always know the answers! Knowledgable and kind staff is a breath of fresh air! The cameras at Dogtopia allow me to check-in on my dog during the day. Every single time I check in on him he's running around and his tail is wagging! He loves it here! Also, almost every time I watch the cameras someone somewhere is cleaning! I'm not kidding! Dog got severely sick with pneumonia after spending a long weekend at this place (3 nights). They didn't even realize how sick he was when we picked her up. Lethargic, weak, not eating. Horrible experience and he had to spend a couple nights in the vet/hospital to recover. Never again! read more

My pup and I are "founding" members here who got a sneak peek for two weeks before the grand opening this past weekend, so I can definitively and heartily endorse Dogtopia Rocklin to you all! The people here are just the best - Diane (the owner) and her husband are always there and are the sweetest, warmest, and most attentive people. All of the staff knows us by sight--I think they even recognize my car coming, actually--and they are genuinely interested in hearing about your day or your recent work trip or whatever you were talking with them about before. The rooms are sparkling clean and divided by size and energy level, which is nice. They also move my dog between rooms as needed if he's very playful or more tired than normal - very attentive and focused on safety, as well as the best experience for the dog. They even called me to tell me about a little scratch they found between his toes (which he got in our backyard, not at daycare). All dogs wear a Dogtopia collar inside, so yours doesn't have to have a quick release and it won't get marred during play. The dogs are under constant watch (including on webcams, if you'd like to see them for yourself via app) and get some downtime while the staff deep-cleans the rooms during lunchtime, but they get lots of playing in. My Weim pretty much eats dinner and sleeps the rest of the night on days he goes to daycare. I've been to a few dog daycares in the area, but Dogtopia is my favorite - partly because they're so conveniently located across from Costco and right off the highway (compared to daycares in CH or FO), but mostly because I feel very confident in the people to whom I've entrusted my dog. The leadership is always around, the staff loooves the dogs that are in their care, and for a brand new business, the policies and procedures are extremely focused and mature. I recommend bringing your dog to play! My pup will see you all there :) read more

I am basing my 5 star yelp review off of a phone call which says a lot about Dogtopia. My husband and I are going to Rocklin because our family lives there. We take our fur babies, Choco & Peanut, everywhere. We needed doggy day care for our pups for 4 hours and I am very thankful we found Dogtopia. Kendall who works at the Front Desk was very pleasant and truly got to know what our needs were for the day. She transferred me to Diane who is the Owner/General Manager and I loved how she was extremely warm, friendly and accommodating to our needs. I have called many doggy day cares and my experience this far, Dogtopia's above and beyond service is definitely the highest when it comes to warmth and caring for their clients. They provided a safe space for our pups to socialize early on when we were spending most of our time locked up.
