Jennifer was incredibly responsive and got me in for an appointment the very next day. My doodle was groomed beautifully and it was quite fast! I have a big standard doodle and it can often take twice as long to groom her as it took today. My dog is pretty anxious at the groomers and I liked that they have a fairly large facility so she could have some space and not feel too overwhelmed. Tonight I had a great experience at Motorhead Pizza in Loomis. The staff was amazing and the pizza was delish!

This place was recommended to us by friends. We were able to get a quick response for a consultation and meet session. So far so good. My dog is fearful and reactive of other dogs. Knowing this Jennifer recommend we put him into her daycare and that is where it all went downhill. After the first day, as soon as I got home I noticed there were scratches and hair missing on his face, which shows neglect. I had to then text Jennifer for an answer since she did not give me one until I reached out. The more I would take him to her daycare the worse his anxiety and fear towards other dogs got. I had reached out to Jennifer multiple times to get a session with her to for help on his leash aggression and anxiety and the responses I would get we're "definitely let's schedule something" and never did anything from her end. Based on my experience I would not be recommending this places. Part 2: in response to Jennifer: Let me clarify your so called "records".. it's very impossible to be a client from 3 years ago given my dog is only 1.5 years old and hasn't been alive that long. Also, I have not lived in the area more than a year. That's your first mistake. Second, since my dog is with me day and night it's hard for him to belong to a different owner. Lie #2 Thirdly, my dog didn't come or has never had scratches cuts or bruises on him EVER, being at your location is the only times he has come home with them. Fourth, we only had one session with you ever. And I took my dog to your daycare for 3 months straight, to get his behavior and anxiety based on your recommendation that by going to you consistently, he would get better. Lastly, if he was not progressing you lied and continually lied that he did sooooooo great and had fun every time based on your status report you would give verbally the few times I saw you. Because more than half the time it's was your daughter assisting with drop off and pick ups. My last straw was just seeing that my dog was pulling away from you to not be at your "fun" daycare and according to you all the dogs "loved" him. Seems like everything said here is contradictory to what was said in person. I'm a person to believe in giving things an opportunity but not when my dog is miserable and it shows on his face and attitude. read more

Teddy had his first grooming today by the Marvelous Miss Jane at the new Penryn location. He had a wonderful time and looks amazing. I seriously love the fact that they take one dog at a time and gave him the full spa treatment. He looks just as I expected but cuter. We talked about length, what to do with his tail and how to highlight those ears. Jennifer Wilson even gave me points on how to get him to stop barking when he wants my attention. He learns fast and now it's on me to keep it up. When I picked him up they did a quick mani pedi on my senior chihuahua and she didn't hardly fuss. I've been bringing my goldendoodle to A Lucky Dog for two years. Both day care and boarding services. My dog has always come home happy and exhausted! Lucky dog I found through a friend at Ashley Dog park in Auburn. We were looking for a safe place for our baby girl. A place to play safely with other dogs plus to learn to trust other people but her family. We drop off Dakoda at least once a week now. She does not hesitate to go and jumps right out of our car as soon as we arrive at Jennifer's. Jennifer provides not only doggie daycare but also, does boarding on site. She has many play areas for small and large dogs. Dakoda is happy and comes home many days dirty, but this lets us know she is having fun. We also had Dakoda groomed by Tammy at Lucky dog. A great place for doggie daycare and boarding! Jennifer is delightful and professional and truly treats her guests like they are her own. It's a family affair and I like that aspect as my little one gets love and attention from lots of very nice humans. My active Jack Russell/Pom mix fit right in and LOVED his first day care visit and subsequent one week boarding stay. We found A Lucky Dog on yelp and so glad we did. We left our 7 month old golden retriever with Jennifer for two nights and felt very comfortable about leaving her because Jennifer made us feel very at ease and her property for the dogs are wonderful. It is also very clean and family oriented.The dogs can play and run all day if they want to in a fenced in area, they can even swim in their pool if they want. At night the dogs have their own individual crate they sleep in, in an air conditioned huge garage area. Jennifer is very friendly and also trains dogs and is very experienced. We toured her home before we boarded to see if we were all comfortable and compatible. Our large, high energy puppy goes to Daycare 3-4 days per week, and its been a godsend. Jennifer, the owner, is always cheerful and accommodates of our flexing schedule. I decided to have our new puppy Millie take puppy training classes and I'm so happy I did. Jen the trainer give simple instruction that you practice daily at home and it works so well. After two weeks our puppy was house trained and behaves so well I really had fun taking these classes and highly recommend Jen if you want your dog to be well trained.
