Our experience with Jennifer has been amazing, Her availability to communicate training techniques are unparalleled, she is simply the best trainer we have ever worked with. We also feel that our girl Mila, is safe with her and her staff when we leave her at play care at her facilities . read more

Jen is THE best!! We have a very shy German Shepherd and he warmed up to Jen immediately. We feel confident leaving him and know he is in great hands. Thanks, Jen!! read more

Lucky Dog schools was amazing! Highly recommended. She works magic with owners and dogs lol. Emphasizes that training is much more about the trainer than it is the dog, so go in ready to learn! read more

Jennifer loves her student guest puppies and their owners who she trains, and the puppies have so much fun frolicking with other puppies/dogs in her day care sessions, as well as at the classes. Mine just came home worn out from all the fun today with two fellow classmates of hers. I highly recommend Jennifer's lessons for training a dog to be obedient and have good manners. Her methods work. read more

A Lucky Dog - My puppy Willow and her adorable pal, Joey. - Pet Training Near Me

Jennifer is the owner of A Lucky Dog. I love her as a dog trainer so I brought my dog to her for daycare and for boarding. She does a great job with it all! She did great taking care of my little Maltipoo, who can be a bit of a handful. This was my first time dropping my puppy off with a babysitter. Jennifer was understanding and let me know what was going on with my baby and answered any questions I had. I am definitely going to be a return customer. read more

They did a fantastic job grooming my 70lb Goldendoodle. He never looked so handsome in his life. I will be back

Jennifer was incredibly responsive and got me in for an appointment the very next day. My doodle was groomed beautifully and it was quite fast! I have a big standard doodle and it can often take twice as long to groom her as it took today. My dog is pretty anxious at the groomers and I liked that they have a fairly large facility so she could have some space and not feel too overwhelmed. They sell some very cute treats and toys also. read more

This place was recommended to us by friends. We were able to get a quick response for a consultation and meet session. So far so good. My dog is fearful and reactive of other dogs. Knowing this Jennifer recommend we put him into her daycare and that is where it all went downhill. After the first day, as soon as I got home I noticed there were scratches and hair missing on his face, which shows neglect. I had to then text Jennifer for an answer since she did not give me one until I reached out. The more I would take him to her daycare the worse his anxiety and fear towards other dogs got. I had reached out to Jennifer multiple times to get a session with her to for help on his leash aggression and anxiety and the responses I would get we're "definitely let's schedule something" and never did anything from her end. Based on my experience I would not be recommending this places. Part 2: in response to Jennifer: Let me clarify your so called "records".. it's very impossible to be a client from 3 years ago given my dog is only 1.5 years old and hasn't been alive that long. Also, I have not lived in the area more than a year. That's your first mistake. Second, since my dog is with me day and night it's hard for him to belong to a different owner. Lie #2 Thirdly, my dog didn't come or has never had scratches cuts or bruises on him EVER, being at your location is the only times he has come home with them. Fourth, we only had one session with you ever. And I took my dog to your daycare for 3 months straight, to get his behavior and anxiety based on your recommendation that by going to you consistently, he would get better. Lastly, if he was not progressing you lied and continually lied that he did sooooooo great and had fun every time based on your status report you would give verbally the few times I saw you. Because more than half the time it's was your daughter assisting with drop off and pick ups. My last straw was just seeing that my dog was pulling away from you to not be at your "fun" daycare and according to you all the dogs "loved" him. Seems like everything said here is contradictory to what was said in person. I'm a person to believe in giving things an opportunity but not when my dog is miserable and it shows on his face and attitude. read more

Tonight I had a great experience at Motorhead Pizza in Loomis. The staff was amazing and the pizza was delish!

Teddy had his first grooming today by the Marvelous Miss Jane at the new Penryn location. He had a wonderful time and looks amazing. I seriously love the fact that they take one dog at a time and gave him the full spa treatment. He looks just as I expected but cuter. We talked about length, what to do with his tail and how to highlight those ears. Jennifer Wilson even gave me points on how to get him to stop barking when he wants my attention. He learns fast and now it's on me to keep it up. When I picked him up they did a quick mani pedi on my senior chihuahua and she didn't hardly fuss. I am so glad they have moved into our little neighborhood. If you are looking for an amazing grooming salon, stop here first. Thank you Jane and Jennifer for making this a great experience. We will see you again! read more

I've been bringing my goldendoodle to A Lucky Dog for two years. Both day care and boarding services. My dog has always come home happy and exhausted! I love that she gets to be outside and socialize with other dogs. It's such a relief to have a safe, reliable place to take her when I can't care for her. She just spent the last week there for boarding and besides needing a bath, she's happy, healthy and exhausted. Win, win, win! I highly recommend Jen and A Lucky Dog!!! read more

A wonderful Doggie daycare set in a beautiful country setting, if you've been looking for a reliable safe daycare for you dog, look no further. We rescued our Lab mix about a year ago and recognized soon after, she was in desperate need of socialization. Through Jennifer's vast experience, patience and incredible knowledge of canine behavior, our dog now plays appropriately and successfully with other dogs. A Lucky Dog is a full service Dog Daycare that also provides boarding and full service grooming. Our dog enjoys daycare and is comfortable being boarded in a familiar place. We are so grateful for Jennifer and her family. We feel comfortable leaving our girl knowing she is well cared for and having a ton of fun. She comes home exhausted and happy, and ready for her next visit. We highly recommend Lucky Dog read more

I had such an incredible experience here after needing to board a pet due to a sudden death in our family. Jennifer showed such kindness and good care to our dog who had gone through some trauma around the death. She worked with him as a trainer to calm his anxiety. It was a very healing experience for the dog (and for our family). He was calm and happy when he was picked up. I am forever grateful for the good care and love our dog received at A Lucky Dog. Thank you, Jennifer. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE. Please for the love of all things good, read this and take the warning. We gave this business multiple attempts, were patient and trusted their process only to have our dog lost two times. Especially if you have a small dog or one that has anxiety (like most dogs post Covid/most dogs who are going somewhere specifically for behavior training). read more

I absolutely love that I found the cutest place to board my dog. Jennifer is so wonderful, I felt really confident leaving my dog here for 9 days. What I love most is that she has a huge property where the dogs are free to roam and make friends with the other dogs visiting or they can settle into the shade for a quiet rest, like mine likes to. Jennifer posts videos and photos to her instagram account, so you can check in on your dog! She even has he cutest donkeys. The place is just gorgeous...and you can tell Jennifer and her family really love the dogs! read more

A great place for Boarding and Doggie Daycare, my pup returned happy! Would recommend, and have already to many people I know. Thank you A Lucky Dog! read more

I love this place for small dog grooming. I have 2 neurotic timid little dogs (don't judge me) and Jennifer and Tammy are so caring about making them feel at ease. I love the haircuts, and how Tammy made sure to ask and provide what I wanted. I also like how they get you in at your appointment time and have you pick up right when they are ready - that means there are very few dogs there at any one time to scare each other or share potential germs. read more

Jennifer is amazing! This is the only place I feel good (and not guilty) when I drop my dog off for boarding. She is great with dogs and takes such good care of them. I have also done dog training with Jennifer and learned so much!!! read more

Lucky dog I found through a friend at Ashley Dog park in Auburn. We were looking for a safe place for our baby girl. A place to play safely with other dogs plus to learn to trust other people but her family. We drop off Dakoda at least once a week now. She does not hesitate to go and jumps right out of our car as soon as we arrive at Jennifer's. Jennifer provides not only doggie daycare but also, does boarding on site. She has many play areas for small and large dogs. Dakoda is happy and comes home many days dirty, but this lets us know she is having fun. We also had Dakoda groomed by Tammy at Lucky dog. She did an amazing job and Dakoda looked absolutely beautiful! Tammy listened to what I wanted done and how hesitant I was about leaving her for the first time to be groomed. I wanted this to be a positive experience. It was for her. I do not leave my baby with just anyone. Animals are like children. They know if something does not feel right. Jennifier is the dog whisperer. I would highly recommend her. The Sims Family. read more

We have been taking our dog to A Lucky Dog about a day a week for the last few months for socialization and exercise. He loves it there! Dogs of all sizes, multiple fenced play areas, a huge area to run, and great care and attention from the owner Jennifer. Jennifer is very skilled at assessing and working with dogs of all kinds. We highly recommend A Lucky Dog. read more

I've used every service they offer including in home training, class training, puppy camp, boarding, and grooming. Key differentiator here is after you have learned the training, you are fully equipped to execute the training yourself. You'll learn here there is no way to train a dog without continued at home lessons. You'll be taught how to teach and you'll learn to speak dog, no joke! The boarding is organized, clean, and safe. Very safe feeling to board here. Grooming is done in a great facility with a very experienced staff. I highly recommend Lucky Dog! read more

A Lucky Dog is unlike any dog daycare, training, or boarding facility I've ever seen. Jennifer genuinely cares about every single dog and their needs, she treats them like they are her own pets and every time I pick up my Callie girl she is so happy! We have recently moved to the Reno area and will drive her down just for boarding because we won't go anywhere else. Definitely recommend!! read more

My rescue standard poodle looks so beautiful, like a different dog. Jennifer patiently combed out all her mats, fluffed her up and gave her a stylish but practical cut. Jennifer also had my dog, Hailie, come in early so Jennifer and Hailie could become familiar before all the work was to be done, so helpful for a rescue, and not a typical consideration for most groomers. My total experience was 5 star plus. Jennifer is knowledgeable, kind, friendly, and expert. read more

We have been so pleased with A Lucky Dog! Our now 7mos old standard Schnauzer has participated in the puppy socialization/training class and we learned so much about working with our Harley. He has also been to puppy daycare several times and burns energy and comes home happy! We used the grooming service today and he now has a beautiful standard schnauzer cut. We are so pleased and will definitely use A Lucky Dog grooming from now on! Tamera went above and beyond with his grooming needs! read more

I brought my two puppies Waylon and Bailey here for the first time after struggling to find a new place for them to play after moving to Lincoln, CA a week ago. In Sonoma county they were used to running at a daycare with tons of space . A Lucky Dog is just that and MORE! Jennifer is so accommodating, sweet, and communicative . I had to drive 300 miles moving that day which was insanely stressful and she gave me peace of mind knowing they were being well taken care of. I will forever bring my babies to A Lucky Dog! read more

Brought my puppy Crusher to A lucky dog for boarding. Best experience ever! Jen was very responsive and accommodating. Communication was a breeze. My puppy was anxious at drop off and she made him feel at home. The play area is huge and very well kept. She updated me of his status while we were away. Crusher did not want to leave at pick up. That is the ultimate sign he had a blast! read more

A great place for doggie daycare and boarding! Jennifer is delightful and professional and truly treats her guests like they are her own. It's a family affair and I like that aspect as my little one gets love and attention from lots of very nice humans. My active Jack Russell/Pom mix fit right in and LOVED his first day care visit and subsequent one week boarding stay. He had fun playing with the repeat day boarders and I know he is looking forward to another stay soon! The grounds are gorgeous and what doggie wouldn't love to play all day in the country? It is very secure and for my escape artist boy I feel he is safe and very well cared for. The overnight boarding area is large, spotless, secure, and well appointed with all sizes and shapes of secure crated kennels. My sweetie-pie boy had all the comforts of home with his own bed and snuggly blanket and toys and feeding bowls. The care, security, and love here is the best anyone could hope for when they are leaving their precious fur babes for a day or longer! read more

We knew our 1-year-old White German Shepherd was in desperate need of socialization and are SO happy we found A Lucky Dog on YELP! Jennifer replied to my inquiry almost immediately and spent 30 minutes on the phone talking with me about our puppy's (& our) needs. After our puppy spent just 1/2 day at her beautiful property, he came back happy, tired, and closer to the socialized dog we are looking for! Jennifer was sweet enough to send me regular updates & pictures of Koda actually playing with others dogs & may have even found himself a girlfriend in another beautiful German Shepherd! I am very impressed so far and can't wait for another day at A Lucky Dog daycare & the future training that Koda will receive from Jennifer! read more

We've been using A lucky Dog for years now and I know I am leaving him in good hands. I see him happy, playing and running with other dogs. He is well exercised when he gets home! I am relaxed on our vacations because I know my "baby" is well taken care off. Jennifer is always quick to respond if I have any questions, professional and I can see she loves dogs. This business is a great find! I take my dog Cleo here and she loves it. This place is beautiful and there is lots of nicely landscaped lawn for the dogs to play. Jennifer does a great job watching over the dogs and making sure they are compatible. It is obvious that she loves dogs and is a knowledgeable trainer. Great business! read more

We found A Lucky Dog on yelp and so glad we did. We left our 7 month old golden retriever with Jennifer for two nights and felt very comfortable about leaving her because Jennifer made us feel very at ease and her property for the dogs are wonderful. It is also very clean and family oriented. The dogs can play and run all day if they want to in a fenced in area, they can even swim in their pool if they want. At night the dogs have their own individual crate they sleep in, in an air conditioned huge garage area. Jennifer is very friendly and also trains dogs and is very experienced. We toured her home before we boarded to see if we were all comfortable and compatible. It was the first time we ever boarded our puppy and will definitely board again the next time we have to leave her. She was a happy puppy when we picked her up. read more

We have used A Lucky Dog for daycare and boarding. We love that our puppy can be a puppy and run around on a bunch of land. Jen is super nice and very accommodating. Is my puppy going to come back to me looking like she was indoors all day? No. And that's the point. I read the other reviews before I brought my puppy here and for those ppl who act like it was a surprise when their dog came home with dirt on their paws, they knew what the place was when they came for a temperament test. Bottom line, if you want your dog to be able to be a dog and run around all day with other dogs in a fenced area instead of being stuck inside, this is the place. Highly recommend! read more

A Lucky Dog is awesome! Our pup starts wiggling and wagging as soon as she realizes that we're going there - by the time we pull into the driveway she's in a frenzy! Our large, high energy puppy goes to Daycare 3-4 days per week, and its been a godsend. Jennifer, the owner, is always cheerful and accommodates of our flexing schedule. Pup comes home tired and happy. I love the big outdoor areas for running and playing, as well as the protected indoor facility for stormy days and boarding. Jennifer, who is also a trainer, really knows dogs, and this has been a family run business for many years. Great communication through texting. We plan on using the boarding services, as well. Highly recommend! read more
