Shalini took great care of our 8-year old cat while we were out of the country for two weeks. She missed one day due to family emergency (understandable) but every other day we got a picture to let us know kitty was fine. For $30 a day it was great peace of mind. Highly recommend her! read more

We have two dogs, a chipoodle and a chiweenie. During the time we had Shalini checking on our babies, she sent photos, texts and videos so we knew what our fluffs were up to. She even voluntarily checked on our bearded dragon & beta fish for us and left the TV on Animal Planet for our pups. Our chiweenie, CoCo, had a very traumatic upbringing until she was rescued. She had severe social anxiety and could sometimes be aggressive. One thing I did notice, and this is why I'm writing this review, is that upon our arrival back home and over the next couple of weeks we saw significant change in CoCo's behavior. She was much more receptive to new faces and even warmer with us than she had ever been. Idk what Shalini did or maybe CoCo just realized that not all strangers are bad and some are friends, but it completely changed our outlook on what our life could be like with CoCo added to our family. We continue to recommend Shalini to friends and family and we now have a cat added to our family and will need her services again here soon. Thank you Shalini!! You truly are a saint to these animals. read more

My dogs have always adored Shalini. I have an older, blind, anxiety riddled dachshund who takes a ton of patience to deal with. Shalini has been super patient, kind, and gentle with my pup. You waited more than 7 hours to " rush " my dog to the vet and by claiming pulmonary hypertension as an acute situation and waited for 7 hours is just self contradicting, not to mention other lying, burglary and criminal behaviors. I already told you you better hope Bubu make it. You can explain that to my legal team, and this is just the beginning!! Shalini took great care of our two dogs while we were out of town on a family trip for 3 nights. She was very attentive and responsive while we were away. It was really comforting to know that our dogs were in great hands and being cared for while we were gone. Shalini texted us a number of pictures too. We will definitely use her services again, and would highly recommend Creature Comforts to anyone looking for a pet sitter! read more

Shalini is absolutely amazing. We were thinking of placing our three dogs at a boarding facility to get away for the weekend but found Creature Comforts Pet Care. I'm so happy I made the decision to go with her. We have a diabetic dog and with her being a vet tech, she knew exactly how to administer medication. Our animals were able to stay in the care our our home while we were able to get away for a night. Definitely recommend! read more

I have to say this was a very disappointing experience! We will not be using Shalini's services ever again! I can only say one thing to get my point across: CAMERAS! Although things could have been worse. I'm thankful that our fur babies are ok and seemed looked after. So please read all the reviews! Mostly pay attention to negative ones. Those who gave good reviews obviously didn't have cameras and were probably from a long time ago. . When she was trying to impress and build a client base. Things have clearly changed! I would definitely NOT recommend Shalini! read more

Pet-sitter ON FLEEK!! You can expect expert care for your pets at an affordable rate, so look no further folks. My dog Wynstin instantly took to Shalini (it's like she emits pet whisper vibes or something) it was an instant match. Also, I was very impressed to learn of the wealth of knowledge she caries having earned a degree as a veterinary technician. She watched my dog on the day of our wedding, kept my dog company and he in turn paid her in many kisses and cuddles. Shalini made sure to keep me updated with cute pictures of my little fur child while I was out doing my bridal duties, which was a nice distraction, considering the wedding nerves I was having! What I liked most about the services of Creature Comfort Pets is that I didn't have to fuss with the hassle of having to drop my dog off at a kennel. She came to my house and watched my little guy in the comfort of his own home. Also, Creature Comforts Pet Care's services freed me of the concerns I would have had, had I boarded my pet in a kennel (fleas, kennel cough, etc.) and lord knows a bride ain't got no time for all that stress! Next time you need a sitter, dog walker or help administering medicine to your pet, make sure you call Creature Comforts Pet Care, you won't regret it! read more

Shalini is awesome. As a pet sitter, person, and friend. We clicked instantly during the initial meeting and by the time she left I couldn't believe my good fortune in finding her. She is super down to earth and honest, has a genuine love for animals and is instantly comfortable with them. As they are with her :) Shalini takes great pride in her business- from her website to her very thorough paperwork to her adorable Instagram updates, it's obvious she is investing a tremendous amount of time and energy into making people's pets happy while their owners are gone. It's a heavy weight off of ones shoulders to know that their pets are in good hands and to see how happy they are through her picture and video updates. She has been great at following my detailed instructions for 7 cats, all with their own needs and quirks, and always offers to go above and beyond by administering fluids or injections. I am very picky about my house and my babies and she follows my instructions to a T. She leaves my counters and sink free of any residual cat food and throws the stinky cat food cans and litter outside. Nothing worse than walking in your front door after a trip and smelling fish I was a Petsitter for many years and I always used to "petsit like the owners were watching" and "leave the house cleaner than when they left it" and Shalini seems to work by the very same mottos. When you come back from a trip, usually exhausted, you want to walk into a house that smells the same, looks the same, and contains happy critters. This is what Shalini does! Going out of town is stressful when you have two senior cats! Luckily, Shalini is awesome! She sent us daily photos and updates of our kitties, which we LOVED!!! She's a former vet tech, so she's used to giving medications, which was awesome, since our cat requires an injection. Our cats don't like everyone, but they really liked her! I would highly recommend using Shalini the next time you go out of town! read more

I used Shalini for 4 years for my elderdy cat. Shalini was always availalble. It is obvious that they that they quickly became great friends from the pictures she would take of him during her visits. After he passed away, I adopted a new dog, and Shalini was able to help with dog visits while I was working and he was getting used to his new home. She was always reliable and provided updates and picutres to make me feel that my pets were taken care of! read more

Shalini was such a great find! We were hesitant to put our dog in a dog hotel for our wedding night. This was an option that was a better fit for our dog. Shalini and my dog (Penny) really enjoyed each others company. She sends us awesome pictures and videos when she comes and visit Penny. Her communications is A+. Very easy to get a hold of via text and has a very flexible schedule. Side note: her instagram feed is a great follow if you like looking at pets. read more

She is worth every penny for my peace of mind! read more

We just had Shalini stay in our home for 2 nights + 2 full days with our dog while we were away. This was the first time we have ever been away from our dog since we lost our second dog and because our 2 dogs had always been together, we were really nervous to schedule this trip. Shalini was so prompt in responding to our first initial contact and she immediately scheduled a consult. She arrived early to the consult and stayed a while to chat, be with our dog, and cover every question in advance. We appreciated her thoroughness and time! While we were gone on our trip, Shalini came and stayed the whole time, sent sweet texts with pictures, and reassured us that our dog was in great hands. It was such a relief to find Shalini after we'd been really nervous to try a dog sitter out! read more

My honey and I planned an over night trip for Tough Mudder, but we didn't have anyone to check on our dogs. Two problems: 1. I have never trusted anyone with my dogs, except me. 2. I am a neurotic mess when it comes to my dogs. I didn't want to go, I can drive home that night. I made excuse after excuse after excuse. No one will treat my babies as good as I can. We were referred to Creature Comforts by a friend...who understands how neurotic I am and I have to say Shalini is amazing! A few days before our trip she came by and met our fur babies, I walked her through our routine, made introductions and went over special instructions. Our male dog takes daily medication, which we agreed to leave out with notes. (neurotic remember) We requested 2x a day visits, Sat and Sun. I loved getting text messages "Heading over to check on the babies" and " Phoenix and Eva had fun in the back yard" pic attached "Meow basking in the sun" pic attached. I was wrong, someone can treat your fur babies as good as you do, that is why I highly recommend Shalini and Creature Comforts Pet Care to anyone (neurotic or not) your pets will thank you. read more

Having recently moved here from the Bay Area, we were in need of a new cat sitter. Very highly recommended and would say she's the go to gal for ones pet sitting needs! Many thanks for looking after our little ones and more to come! read more

I never knew the importance of a pet sitter until I met Shalini. I used to think that leaving my cat for a few days with a litter box full of litter and a huge feeder full of food was ok. I'll NEVER do that again. When I leave town knowing that she is visiting every day is a huge relief! My cat loves her! When she texts me pictures and videos while I am away I truly appreciate her being there. If anything happens to my cat I know she is more then qualified to handle the issue or take him to the vet, whatever needs to be done. Also, it's good to have a regular visitor to your home while away. Having Shalini care for my cat is now automatically factored in to my travel plans, no question. read more

Shalini is a blessing to have around. She is as passionate about my cat as I am (and that's REALLY passionate!) It is very comforting knowing that your animal is in the care of someone who truly cares about their well-being and isn't just there to collect a paycheck. Recently I went out of town for 5 days and asked Shalini to take care of my baby Moxie. She came over every day and played with her, cuddled, took photos of her/with her and sent them to me, and she even passed along a new toy that her cats didn't like! Which was great because Moxie LOVES it. PLUS she watered my plants!! Long story short, Shalini is amazing! read more

We decided to adopt a beautiful Great Dane on a Friday, after meeting him for the first time and falling in love. We forgot that we had a graduation ceremony the next day that was going to take up half of our day, and leaving a dog that size to roam the house alone was not a good idea. Shalini with Creature Comforts Pet Care was able to come and house sit our two gentle giants; an Argentinian dogo and a great Dane, with less than 24 hours notice. She knew all of our concerns, and send us photo updates of the dogs throughout the day. They looked happy and relaxed in her presence, the 1 day new dog was even cuddling with her already. It is extremely difficult to find someone that you trust to take care of your babies, as well as your home, while you are away. Shalini with Creature Comforts Pet Care was able to give us the peace of mind that we needed, with the constant reassurance and updates of our pets we were able to enjoy our day and come home sans anxiety. We will absolutely be using Creature Comforts Pet Care again, as Shalini provides our home and pets with the same amount of love and care as we do! read more

Shalini took amazing care of my Cane Corso Duchess! She even sent texts and pictures daily! I will definitely be using her in the future!

We are so happy we found Shalini and Creature Comforts Pet Care! We are new to the area and needed to find a great and trustworthy pet sitter for our 2 small dogs and 1 cat (one that would also do overnight stays in our home while we were away). The 5 star reviews were right! She took great care of our animals and always sent us picture updates so we could see how they were doing. She is also very prompt with communication if we needed to talk with her or check in about anything. Her pre-visit paperwork is extremely thorough and professional, so we knew they were in good hands. (She asked questions I didn't even think to mention during our consult)! Our animals liked her right away when she came to visit, so we knew we made the right choice. We highly recommend Shalini if you're looking for the perfect pet sitter in the area and will definitely have her watch our animals again soon! Thanks! :) read more

We're new to Rocklin and were looking for a place to board our dogs for Thanksgiving. We'd be out of town for a couple days and couldn't take them with us. The problem is, all boarders in the area don't offer night observation and our dogs would be alone, in a kennel, from 7pm to 7am every night. There is a boarder in Loomis that is free-range and has night care, but they require a 3-night minimum on holiday weekends. We boarded our dogs when we lived in Elk Grove, but we had no idea how they were doing until we picked them up. Sometimes our lab would come home smelling like urine, or slow-moving and stiff because he stood all night rather than sleep. So what to do? Enter Creature Comforts... We were a bit apprehensive having someone we didn't know stay the night at our home without us there. But about a week before our trip, Shalini came over for a meet-and-greet, and we immediately felt at ease. She is kind, friendly, and LOVES our animals (yeah, we have more than just the 2 dogs). We showed her around the house, how to work the TV (they're so complicated nowadays), and introduced her to our furry family members. She greeted all of them with love. While we were gone, Shalini sent us pictures so we knew our animals were doing fine. When we returned home the next day, our lab greeted us with his happy-dog dance. He wasn't stressed out because this time, he stayed at home. With Shalini around, we will never board our dogs again. They are happier at home and we know our cats are being cared for. Thanks Shalini!! read more

Well I'm sad to say that I have to find a new pet sitter. We've used Shalini in the past several times to watch our cats and she did a wonderful job, so wonderful that we HIGHLY recommended her to our family members with pets. But this last time, we received terrible service. To start off, we selected to have her show up for two visits: one - 1 hour visit and one - 30 minute visit everyday. She did not come for the full time and the reason we could tell is because we have Ring.com and we could easily track when she showed up and when she left. The second thing that happened was about half way through our family vacation, my sister in law (who was also using CC Pet Care) and I received a text message from Shalini stating that she had bumped her head and her knee the night before, so she wasn't sure if she could make her rounds that day and if we could find someone to cover. I texted Shalini back and told her to please figure it out as we had no one to cover. Shalini then said she could make the visit. Even though she was able to make the visit in the end, this made me very nervous and uncomfortable while I was on vacation. The third thing was that when I came home, she had clearly not cleaned the litter boxes as requested so there was cat urine all around the boxes. I counted how many bags of litter she put in a box in our garage and there was only one for each day instead of two. We have five cats, so cleanliness of litter boxes is EXTREMELY important and it's the only reason we pay for two visits a day instead of one. The final straw was that we had a bottle of vodka sitting on our kitchen counter top when we left and when we came home there was red lipstick around the opening of the bottle.... we never drink straight from the bottle and there is no way that the lipstick stain was there before we left. Super gross!! Overall, what bothered me the most was the dishonesty from Shalini. And the fact that when I tried to text her about it, she did not respond. This seems to be her new way of business. read more

This was our first time using a pet sitting service for our 2 cats and gecko and we couldn't have been more happy with how it all went. We were nervous leaving for 10 days since one of our cats required medicine 2 times a day and has eating issues. We felt like we were in good hands knowing that Shalini is a vet tech. From the first meeting, we knew everything would be fine, our cats loved her! (This never happens) We loved getting updates every day including pictures and sometimes videos. Shalini was great and brought in our mail and took out the trash and recycling. We would have Shalini come take care of our babies again in a heartbeat! If fact, I think our kitties miss her since we've been back :). read more

Shalini was my absolute savior for my two dogs. I have had two VERY bad experiences with I'm home pet sitters and I had promised myself that I never would do it again, but we had a family emergency and had to leave the country quickly. I contacted Shalini and she was quick to respond and very professional. She came quickly and was very understanding. My dogs, one of which likes no one and one that is special needs, took to Shalini right away. Because of my bad experiences in the past, I recorded everything in my home. She was always there on time, took my dogs for religious long walks, and always cleaned up afterwards. She kept in constant contact, sending pics and FaceTiming with my dogs. I will never go to anyone else again. Her love of animals and her experience, along with her being a vet tech, makes her the perfect person to always be my one and only trusted pet sitter. Thank you Shalini for loving my fur babies as much as I do!!!! read more

NEVER AGAIN!! We met Shalini several years ago when looking for a pet sitter for our two dogs and we were SO happy because I don't trust anyone with my dogs and the fact that I was happy with her and trusted her was a huge relief for me when out of town. Never had an issue with her sitting my dogs over the years (not that I know of) up until a few weeks ago when we had to go out of town for just a couple nights and hired her to do overnight stays. I hadn't used her services for almost a year so I don't know what's changed, but definitely something has! I cut my trip short and hurried home after what I saw going on at my home on my security cameras. Thank god nothing bad happened to my dog and I do think that she does genuinely care for animals, BUT my privacy was definitely invaded, she left everything unlocked and she had gone through all my personal belongings. I couldn't believe what I saw when I got home and was shocked she would do such a thing, especially knowing we hired her because we TRUSTED HER! Also, we found our alcohol bottles empty and in the trash. I called and texted her many times to let her know and get in touch with her and she ignored me. It's just sad because I hired her to have peace of mind while I was away and she totally violated my home, my privacy and ruined my family vacation. I wasn't going to post anything at first, but I didn't want someone else to go through what I did or how invaded I felt. It's just not right. If you do hire her, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE CAMERAS! read more

We are new to the area, and, after reading the reviews for Creature Comforts Pet Care, I was very anxious to meet Shalini in hopes that I can check finding a great, reputable pet sitter off of my list. Unfortunately, this business owner does not respond. I noticed she challenged the review of similar feedback on Yelp, so I'm providing my timeline of attempts to connect with her. 5/17/17 - I posted on Nextdoor asking for recommendations for pet boarding. Shalini responded and provided her website. 5/18/17 - I left Shalini a voice message with all of my contact info and dates I would need help with. Granted it was for Memorial Day weekend, not a lot of notice which I acknowledged in my message. I received a text response asking me to register my contact information on a website that validated that I was not a spammer. Did that - No response 5/19/17 - Submitted a note via her website in case she didn't receive the earlier message. No response. I went back to the Nextdoor message and posted a response to hers. 5/20/17 - Checked the Facebook page for this business and noticed she was posting pictures of the pets she was caring for and the dates of the photos were this week. I sent her a message via Facebook. Since the pictures were recent, yet she couldn't respond, I let her know I was taking my business elsewhere. She could have at least told me she couldn't acomodate my inquiry. 5/22 - Still no response. Although the reviews are great, they're not very recent. Definitely search out other pet sitters. I called a few other services and received responses within 3 - 24 hours. One even referred me to another sitter since she was already booked. THAT is how you take care of potential customers. Good luck!! read more

We were new to the area and was trying to decide between boarding our four legged family members or trying out a pet sitter. Shalini is great! We have used her four different times now. She sends us text and photos and they are always happy when she stops by and they are much more comfortable being at home rather than a strange environment. She is always willing to help out whatever your needs may be. Whether it is taking them to the vet or groomer. Taking them for a walk or if you only need her to let them out twice a day. We chose well with Shalini. read more

Never again!! Use her service at your own risk. My bird died as a result of her negligence. She apparently did not give my green singing finches water because when I checked on them upon returning home, THEIR WATER DISH WAS BONE DRY!! Unfortunately, my favorite female finch died as a result!! In addition, my fish were on death door when I returned and their tank water was a thick brown, so dense that I could not see my fish, almost like lentil soup. I don't know how that happens, unless you severely overfeed. She said she changed some of the water, and there were lots of iridescent bubbles. I noticed the entire bottle of water conditioner was empty. The tank was so toxic that I had to immediately remove my fish, completely drain it and start over. Plus, when I returned I found green hair dye splattered on the walls, floor and my personal belongings in my master bathroom!!! For insult added to injury, she used some of my groceries without replacing them which was just plain annoying as they were for my dinner I had planned to fix upon my return home after a a 14 hour flight. I wondered why she insisted on full payment BEFORE the job began (which I refused to do), and now I know. If you do decide to use her, I would withhold payment until you return and insist that SHE IS THERE when you return so you can check on everything before you pay her. Oh, and use cameras. read more

I would highly recommend Shalini and her services @ Creature Comforts Pet Care. This was the first time I had her here and only because I rarely travel to leave my Staffshire Bull Terrier here alone. Not only was I going on a vacation and could not take her, but she had recently had surgery on her toe. The fact that Shalini has a vet tech background was so very comforting to me. "Molly" is a senior girl who is very shy and does not always take well with new people. (She will go back to her safe place) At the consult, Molly went right to her - wanting to kiss her and wanting petting. That was my first comfort. I received photos every day with a text stating what was going on or how Molly was acting. I began to look forward to those everyday !!! Shalini is an animal lover through and through and would only do right for your pets. I will most certainly use her and her excellent services again.... As a matter of fact in May !!! read more

Hoo boy. Where do I start? First, this wasn't our first time using Creature Comforts pet-sitting service. We went to Europe in 2016, and we were satisfied with Shalini's service then. She texted photos of all 4 of our cats every day and made an effort to find even our shyest girl each day. The boxes were clean when we got home, and there was food and water in the bowls. The cats seemed fine. So when we went home for a week this month for a family funeral, we didn't think twice about calling Shalini again. We seriously regret that decision. There has been a severe slide in Shalini's dedication to this job--and perhaps to her ethics in general. She is no longer trustworthy with beloved family pets. Our story: About 2 weeks before our trip, as soon as we knew we needed it, we arranged for 6 days of pet-sitting. Shalini remembered us, and everything seemed to go smoothly. Then, 2 days before our flight, she texted to tell me she'd lost our key (which is in itself not great, but it had been more than 2 years, so okay) and needed a new one. She wanted us to hide one outside for her. We were not about to leave a key to our house outside and then leave the state, so I told her we'd go out that day to make another spare for her, but she had to pick it up. She said she'd come by later that day. When she still wasn't there at 8pm and hadn't contacted us again, I texted and asked when she'd be over. I got a one-word response: "Tomorrow." By this time, we were getting very worried. We had to leave in just more than a day, and we'd be gone for a week. We scrambled to find someone else who could take care of our babies, and finally arranged for one of our son's friends to be on "standby" in case Shalini flaked. Shalini did come by and pick up the key, so, since we'd already paid her, we decided to assume the key follies were an aberration and continue with her service as planned. Which brings me to the second part of the story. We recently installed a home automation system that allows us to remotely control and monitor our thermostats, home security system, etc. Among other things, the system tracks each time an exterior door is opened or closed. There is also a small camera, which we set up when we leave for even an overnight, so we can check in on the cats. Usually, we set the camera up in the living room, where the cats mostly hang out, but this time, we put it in the kitchen, so we could see their food and water bowls and be sure they were being filled. Because of our ability to monitor what's going on in our home, we know these things with irrefutable certainty: 1) For the first two days, Shalini didn't notice the camera. So we were witness to her helping herself to snacks from our pantry both days. 2) On the third day, Shalini noticed the camera and turned it away--for about a minute or so, and then turned it back. Which is about a thousand times more suspicious than simply turning it away and leaving it that way would have been. What she was doing in that minute or so, we can't say for sure. We assume she was continuing her snackapaloosa. 3) She turned the camera again on the fourth day, for about a minute or so, and then turned it back. 4) And then there's this, the worst of it all: SHE DID NOT COME AT ALL ON THE FIFTH OR SIXTH DAYS! On Saturday evening, the sixth day, 2 days after Shalini's last visit, we called in our standby, who found the bowls empty and the litter boxes full. His entry and exit are the only activity at our exterior doors from when Shalini left on Thursday evening until we returned home on Sunday evening, so we know for sure she didn't come at all on the last 2 of 6 days we'd arranged for. I noticed that she posted photos of two of our cats to her FB page on both of those days, as if she had been at the house, but she must have taken them on an earlier day. I'm not sure what she was trying to accomplish with the subterfuge, since she clearly knew there was a camera that would tell us definitively that she had NOT been at the house. Thank goodness we had a back-up plan, but Shalini didn't know that. As far as she knew, she left our cats to go hungry for THREE DAYS, from her last visit on Thursday until our return home on Sunday night. Because she has at least one of our keys, we waited until we could change our locks before we posted this review, but I absolutely want to warn people that, however conscientious Shalini might once have been (though now I wonder how conscientious she ever has been), she should not be trusted with your family pets, or your home, now. Consider this a warning. Find a different pet sitter. read more
