One of my babies has major separation anxiety from me and the other is a feral cat I've turned domestic (but he's only comfortable with me) he hides under the bed when I have company, they are not an easy pair, but knowing I have Fido & Felix there to take care of them allowed me to enjoy my vacation without any worries. She even voluntarily checked on our bearded dragon & beta fish for us and left the TV on Animal Planet for our pups. Our chiweenie, CoCo, had a very traumatic upbringing until she was rescued. She had severe social anxiety and could sometimes be aggressive. One thing I did notice, and this is why I'm writing this review, is that upon our arrival back home and over the next couple of weeks we saw significant change in CoCo's behavior. She was much more receptive to new faces and even warmer with us than she had ever been. Idk what Shalini did or maybe CoCo just realized that not all strangers are bad and some are friends, but it completely changed our outlook on what our life could be like with CoCo added to our family. We continue to recommend Shalini to friends and family and we now have a cat added to our family and will need her services again here soon. Thank you Shalini!! He's very spoiled and gets separation anxiety (and me too...) so I wanted the best for him. I was considering Pets Hotel until i found out that they crate their dogs most of the day and barely play outside. Ollie doesn't like crates and loves to be around humans and other dogs. So, I did my research and came across Maisy's Mutts! We did a meet and greet 3 weeks before I had to leave for the weekend and it went great. I felt SO comfortable leaving Ollie with the family and Manni kept me updated every day with pictures which definitely helped with my separation anxiety (LOL!). Ollie loves them and he had so much fun with Maisy and their other furry friend. Manni is definitely my go-to boarding place!!!

She has a background in handling dogs (and other animals) for year, first aid/CPR certified, AND is a nutrition expert and trainer. When I was pregnant she watch my pups for us when we went down to San Diego for our gender reveal. We broadcasted the event live for family to see virtually. She made sure to have both our pups watch the live feed to find out if they were going to have a brother OR sister (and of course took pictures of them watching). She even spent time with them that weekend training them how to act around a new baby sister. When I went Into labor and rushed to the hospital, she drove to our home and picked up the boys from our house. She took care of them until we were ready to come home from the hospital. She has watched them countless other times and always sends us pictures of how they are doing. She is literally the sweetest human and is so passionate about what she does. We used to go to Happiness Country Kennels when in Fremont until we moved in 2014 and then had a bizarre experience with them. Then we had Zelda and our kitties at Waiterock Kennels in Lafayette until this year. About 4 months ago or so we had to go on a trip to see family, where a family member across the country was ill. We prepared well in advance and reserved at Waiterock for our pups and two cats but when Simba went for his "evaluation" he flunked. Evidently they put him in a cage alone and he tried to climb out of it, I suggested doing another evaluation while Simba was with Zelda -- with whom he has spent all his time since he was 3 months old and would be sharing a kennel. Interestingly, they said they typically separate dogs from the same home in the play yard so Simba had to be evaluated alone. Well, this left us in a bind, I had to see my ailing sister and wondered if I'd have to leave my family here -- enter Doggy Day Care. I called, brought my dogs by so they could meet them and it was love at first sight! Thank you Waiterock for forcing us to find Doggy Day Care, our new place for the pups! And I feel so much better about Zelda and Simba being in more of a home setting. They take the dogs for fun trips, swimming, hiking so we feel like they are getting a bit of a vacation while staying at Doggy Day Care -- and DDC does a great job cutting their nails. Michael is very accommodating and seems like a good, pet loving, responsible & reasonable person that I am happy to give our business and trust with our two pups.

I have used other trainers in the past and this is by far the most progress I have seen out of my dog, Skippy. Before skippy was always pulling on her leash but now is starting to walk by my side. We have done about 3 classes so far and plan to do more! I can't wait to see how much further skippy can advance. Reminder you also have to put in the work. It can't all be on the trainers. :) I try my best to do my dog homework before next sessions.
