My dogs have been going to this place for years, one since she was a puppy now she is 8 and she loved this place. In previous years I would have given the place 5stars until this year. The last few months management changed and majority of the staff. As a long standing customer I have my credit card on file. I noticed I started being charged differently each time we went. One time I was charged for a full day of daycare and it should have been a half a day. When questioning the cost I was met with attitude. They changed the hours on the weekend without notify the customers and just started charging for full days. Boarding drop off changed without a notification. Then the cost for boarding changed without notification. Which all would have been fine if they let us know and if the quality of service was the same. Finally I had a girl tell me the pricing so I could document it. On the last stay my dogs smelled horrible. They could not find their bedding. So this tells me they did not sleep on any bedding for the whole weekend. I had to describe the items. I was told on this last boarding stay that both of my dogs did not want to be bothered by the other dogs and were just a little standoffish. My dogs are in separate rooms, so I asked what happened to both. The reply was it just happens sometimes. When I washed my dog she had a scratch in the Costner of her eyelid and other scratches on her body. Something definitely changed there and I do not trust them with charging me or with my dogs. read more

If there were a six star option I would definitely give it to Dogtopia of Raleigh! We have been bringing our lab mix here since we got him in 2012. He absolutely loves all of the people who work here and loves to play with all of the dogs. I actually think the owners and staff like my dog more than I do sometimes! :) If you are an overprotective dog parent like me, you'll appreciate that they have a daily schedule for the dogs and that you can watch them on their webcam. Dogs are separated into 3 rooms based on their behaviors and personalities. (They also have to be evaluated beforehand so schedule that first!!) They also have an outdoor play area. I have no qualms about leaving my dog here for days at a time for boarding or just to drop off for the day to burn some energy off. Like any daycare for dogs (and even children) if there is some sort of incident or your dog isn't feeling well, they will call you right away and are very communicative. I can't say enough positive things about the owners and everyone who works there! read more

Dogtopia is FANTASTIC! I just got back from a weekend away, which required me to board my two year old German Shepherd for the first time. I will admit I was extremely anxious about leaving him, but his stay went very well! The staff was very welcoming to him, and helped introduce him to other dogs, as he was uneasy at first (I spent a great deal of time checking the webcam the first night, which helped to put me at ease). Often when I checked the camera he was receiving attention from the staff, and playing happily. He's exhausted today, but I take that as a sign that he was well-cared for and given the opportunity for plenty of exercise. I would never take my dog anywhere else - the high quality of care, well organized schedule that allows for plenty of outside time, play time, and nap time, and the security of being able to check up using the webcam make this facility superb! read more

Dropping our dog off is like dropping our kid off at daycare or a babysitters and we miss him, worry about him, and want to trust whoever we leave him with. Ever since we found Dogtopia a couple of years ago, we know he's in good hands. My husband and I are out of town every other month for business, so our sweet Jack Bauer will stay a couple of nights and we love that every time we drop him off, they know him, they know his personality, and they know what room he prefers. And I have to admit, being able to see him on camera is awesome! Last but not least, Tami is so delightful and easy going - it's nice leaving our dearly loved fur baby with someone like that. read more

Dogtopia is the ABSOLUTE BEST! There are so many things that I LOVE about Dogtopia and their topnotch service, but the thing that sticks out to me the most is their genuine care and concern about my fury baby. I love the fact that my Sophie is just as happy to see the Dogtopia staff at the beginning of her stay as she is to see me at the end of it. Sophie absolutely loves going there which puts my mind at ease because that tells me that she is really being cared for and loved on just as much by them as she is by us at home. As a customer I feel value, appreciated and irreplaceable...and that's a really great feeling...priceless! read more

The staff and owners, Tami and Janet are all wonderful dog loving folks. They clearly love what they do and it is evident to the humans who drop off and pick up their HAPPY pups at the end of each stay. They celebrate the dogs birthdays, and holidays along with the pup of the week. They even give the owners treats too ! We were very blessed to have found Dogtopia of North Raleigh last year and look forward to their new location one day in Durham where we will be moving to. We will miss you all, but are sure to visit and look for you at your new location. Warm regards and many thanks. Laura M. , Betsy L. and the pup Ruby too. read more

I arrived today 30 min before my appointment time with all shot records for a 5 Mos old puppy for grooming . Her last shots were given by wake cty animal shelter for boarding. The place smelled like a trash dump. Video of dogs humping each other in dog day care area. And the unprofessional person at desk said that a 5 most old puppy needed more shots than had been given to her unauthorized at wake cty animal shelter in raleigh nc for being boarded when I was illegally arrested again 3x after going to superior court in wake cty and my dog removed illegally again by police. This is illegal and against the LAW! read more

We've entrusted our dogs to the care of Tammy, Janet, and company for 6 years! In all of that time, we have never had one negative experience. We love that our dogs can go play safely in a clean environment watched over by people who care. We love being able to log into the web cam and check in during the day. It is wonderful to be able to board them and come home knowing they had fun and didn't have time to miss us. And there is no where else to find a better groomer than at Dogtopia of North Raleigh. read more

I like having the ability to drop off without an appointment. I LOVE how friendly the staff is at Dogtopia of north Raleigh. They always welcome me and my dog by name and greet us when I come to pick her up. They always offer my dog a treat when she departs. The staff engages with the dogs, too. My dog always comes home happy and tired. They also do monthly customer appreciation events. It is so nice to know that the staff and management appreciate our business! read more

Our dog loves Dogtopia...while she hates to see our suitcases as it sometimes means she is not coming with us...once she gets to Dogtopia she just runs inside! She's well cared for and I especially love that we can get her bathed/groomed before pick-up....She's often tired when we pick her up, but only because she's been having fun playing w/ other dogs. The webcam is super if we want to check in on her. We are grateful for a wonderful place to board Lulu. read more

Ace is my first pet and I'm very skeptical about a lot. I have tons of questions about everything and I try my best to make the best decisions when it comes to Ace. Dogtopia is wonderful for daycare! I'm able to check in on Ace through the webcam and he LOVES to go. He plays all day with his buddies and is ready for a good night rest when he comes home. Dogtopia has been a life saver for me and Ace. They're amazing! read more

My Boston Terriers have been very happy at Dogtopia. I especially appreciate that they worked with my feisty little one to help him learn not to be aggressive with some of the older female dogs. By watching him closely and using "time-outs," they were able to help him learn the rules and enjoy the company of the others. I'm grateful that they take a personal interest in my pets. read more

We love the North Raleigh location of Dogtopia! They know our little guy by name- he goes twice a week and is boarded there. He always comes home tired and happy. We also love how clean the facilities are and they have fantastic customer service. They are getting busier, so reservations are necessary, and we'll be renewing ours for the foreseeable future! read more

Dogtopia of N. Raleigh is fantastic, the staff really cares about the pets they care for and they are always involved in letting us know how our Mini Husky did when she is there. I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else unless I had no other choice - the staff bends over backward to accommodate your needs if at all possible! FIVE STARS and 2 Thumbs Up read more

Great place for doggy day care or over night stays. My shy and nervous hound mix did well and the staff seemed to know how to handle him as a first timer, who was very scared. Feel good about leaving him here and love the fact that they support homeless doggies and even give you a discount for your first doggy day if your pet is a rescue:) read more

Brenda is awesome when it comes to making Asia look beautiful! And the day care/boarding - you guys were so accommodating for Holly with her cushings disease, so glad that you guy could care for her while his parents were out of town! And Asia loves day care! She is so full of energy and excited and still ready to play when she leaves. read more

I have been taking my two dogs to Brenda at Dogtopia for grooming for a few years. I can't imagine taking them anywhere else. I love that the dogs don't have to sit in a cage waiting all day to be groomed; they are groomed promptly at their appointment time and I always know when I can pick them up. read more

They were very accommodating when I had to go out of time quick. My puppy had never been around other dogs since we got her at eight weeks old. She did very well and her social skills have improved. It was nice to see other dogs so excited when their owners brought them to Dogtopia. read more

What a great place! Everyone there has been kind and caring to both my pet and myself. They have been so willing to help me help my pet work through her anxieties. My dog has a wonderful time every time I take her (I do have to admit that I watch the webcams occasionally). read more
