after reading all of the reviews, some things make sense to me now. I didn't know that this facility had STRICT no humping policy. I dropped my dog off in the morning and got a call A few hours later, saying that he had failed the temperament test because of this. The immediate inside of the building is cute, but I feel like it might be different in the back where all the dogs are kept. The staff up front were pretty nice, although a bit unorganized when I arrived in the morning. I don't think they even reviewed any of my paperwork that I had sent in. When I got home, my dog was EXTREMELY thirsty, and drank for a minute straight, which I found very unnerving.... that's enough reason for a 1 star from me. I will be searching elsewhere for higher quality of care, a place with webcams, and definitely be looking at reviews before I commit to anywhere.

Cut made by the groomer.

Apparently, there is a lack of communication between the staff in this place. I was quoted one price and after the grooming received way over what was quoted to me. Although , my dog haven't been here in a good while and I believe prices do go up due to inflation, I was truly shocked with that price . Not only that but, grooming took way too long although, I did get a call stating she would be a little late. My biggest issue was the cut my dog received on top of his ear no one mentioned when I picked him up.

My dog Zelda after boarding here, she doesn't even have exceptionally runny eyes. Clearly no one cleaned it for 12 days.

I'd strongly advise anyone to avoid this place for boarding any dog. We left our mini Schnauzer here for 12 days because we were going overseas. When we picked her up one of her eyes was so full of matted dirt and mucus she couldn't even see out of it. Who knows how long they left her like this. I completely expect my dog to be smelly and dirty after boarding, I always plan a bath when we get home. I completely understand that baths at this facility cost extra because they take significant time from the staff. What is completely unacceptable is that no one on the staff could spare 30 seconds to wipe her eye with a wet paper towel and spare her that abuse. Never again. Next time I will choose a place with cameras or that takes pictures so I have some sort of oversight to my dog's treatment. -------------------- My second complaint would be that in a boarding situation they will not give a toy to your dog because it is a "choking hazard". This is completely non-nonsensical, how could your dog suddenly choke on a hard nylon toy she's had her entire life? I suspect the real reason is that the policy is in place to reduce the amount of effort on Dog Diggity's part in terms of picking up or keeping track of the toys. For any dog that may not be exceptionally social to be in the cage for days with no stimulus is unethical.

When my husband picked my dog up she was frantic to leave and shaking. She seemed terrified. We will not be back.

I have been taking my high energy German Shepherd to Dog Diggity for almost six years and I'm not sure who loves this place more, me or my dog.

It's a calm and cozy environment (no dogs) and my cats are only minimally stressed going there, which is a BIG plus. Unnecessary procedures are not pushed and the care is thoughtful and thorough. She was stray and finally landed at the Wake adoption center. Ginger has suffered from home instability and since I am away for hours it has been a challenge. Not only has Cozy Cat been very receptive their vet has gone out of her way to address that anxiety and my own concerns as a new owner. The vet and staff have never put expedience ahead of the well being of us BOTH. I have considered rehoming this girl but in the meantime we both have needed the support of a good provider. It is going on 4 months and GInger has adapted wonderully; leading me to try my hardest to keep her. Negative (lower than 3 stars) are damaging to the reputation of providers and I will have nothing to do with that. These people are wonderful, PERIOD! To Whom It May Concern,…read more I am submitting this formal complaint regarding my experience with Dogtopia's handling of my adopted dog during multiple visits and boarding stays. Across these interactions, I observed repeated communication inconsistencies, a lack of transparency regarding incidents, and increasingly unprofessional conduct toward my pet. Records show staff provided conflicting explanations about my dog's behavior and condition. At times, I was told my dog was "great overnight," while at other times staff described him as "grumpy," "snappy," "overstimulated," or involved in behavioral incidents. There were also discrepancies regarding the cause of my dog's limp and paw injury. These inconsistencies created confusion and concern regarding the accuracy of incident reporting, staff supervision, and the overall handling of my pet. Communications frequently came across as defensive and dismissive of my concerns rather than providing clear, professional, and collaborative updates. I am concerned my dog was unfairly labeled as aggressive while staff simultaneously acknowledged he was placed in overstimulating and crowded environments without access to calmer accommodations. This raises concerns that environmental management and supervision may have contributed to the reported incidents. Additionally, some staff communications became excessive and distressing, feeling accusatory and intimidating rather than compassionate or solution-oriented. As the owner of an adopted pet, I expected consistent, professional care and respectful communication. I respectfully request the following actions: Conduct a formal review of how my pet was managed while in Dogtopia's care. Review staff communication practices and incident reporting procedures for consistency and accuracy. Provide clarification regarding the conflicting explanations concerning my dog's injury and behavior. Ensure fair and professional treatment for all customers and adopted pets, free from bias, intimidation, or unnecessary escalation. Take appropriate corrective actions to improve transparency, accountability, and customer relations moving forward. This complaint is supported by documented text communications from Dogtopia staff describing the incidents, behavioral assessments, injury explanations, and subsequent interactions. I appreciate your time and attention to this matter and request that this complaint be formally documented and reviewed. Sincerely, [Redacted] Supporting Notes From Communications * Staff initially stated there were "no issues," then later reported aggression and overstimulation concerns. * Conflicting explanations were provided regarding the source of my dog's limp and paw injury. * Staff acknowledged the playroom was unusually busy and that calmer rooms were unavailable on certain days. * Repeated behavioral accusations were made while also acknowledging environmental overstimulation and lack of separation options.
