The rate was a few bucks but there were others with crazy higher rates. Our first class or 2 were good. Our dog does like a game and was so happy learning the commands via games and rewards. Our instructor recommended for social skills to maybe switch to 1/2 or full day visits. A doggie day school. We switched to that. It's been a couple weeks now and its been good. They work hard to train him. They post videos, many of which are on line before we even pick him up. It gives us the joy of seeing how much fun he is having. He was jumpy, it was hard for me to control him and it was offensive to others because he weighs 65 lbs. i like fixing things, so we put ourselves through training with Mike & Champion Dog Training. At the first lesson i was excited and felt great leaving, but during the first week i was scared to enforce because doggie was sensitive to the collar. Mike gave me a little pep talk over the phone and we made it to our 2nd lesson. I cannot get him into a down/stay using force, Mike says Im soft on him, but he's doing great with everything else we learned. Stay, Stand, Sit, Heel, he's a very smart boy & im very proud. We have continued practicing even after completing the 4 week course. I now feel confident I can control him and there has been a shift in Big D., like he knows I expect more and is waiting on my que.
