The entire wall of beta fish was completely neglected and full of dead fish. The ones that are alive are severely neglected. The cups have LG and are caked with it and are foggy. These fish are highly neglected and everybody in the store should be fired and replaced with a new crew who actually cares for the animals. I forgot to ask for his name, but there is a male manager there with long hair who couldn't care less about the fish and just kept telling me he'll take care of it. It is a long pass, taking care of it because every single day these people come to work and see the state of these fish and do absolutely nothing. There shouldn't be LG these fish have been neglected for extended periods of time, and I can't stop thinking about the fish that are alive and just surrounded by dead rotting corpses. I love to bring my dog, Onyx to PetSmart. They have everything that would interest a dog. In this case a Black Lab who has made a career of getting into things. Onyx has so many smells that interest him. He's like a kid at Disney World. He especially loves the treats aisle. And every time he turns around another friend is there to exchange sniffs. Very rarely are there any conflicts that break out. Holiday time brings "Photos with Santa". Onyx appears to love all the attention and weirdly dressed creatures asking him to stay still and look at the camera. Well, he had a ball and so did Diane and I. It has become the highlight of the Christmas season to visit Santa! The staff of PetSmart is so patient and sweet. They provide you with an email with your pet's photo with you and Santa. It's great! I know it's just a come-on to get you to buy your pet gifts and food. But we all love it!! read more

Clyde and I brought our black Labrador retriever, Onyx, to PetSmart to have his picture taken with Santa Claus. Santa was seeing pets in a small room decorated for Christmas. He had two assistants, one to take the picture and the other to get the pets attention. There was only one pet ahead of us so we didn't have to wait. Santa and his assistants were so nice. You could tell that they loved what they were doing. Onyx was very comfortable having his picture taken. After the pictures we walked around the store. They sell birds, fish, and other small animals. It's a large store with lots of supplies for different animals. They had a lot of dog and cat toys already discounted even though it was before Christmas. I bought Onyx several toys, although I'll hold them till Christmas. There were several people shopping with their dogs. It's great that dogs are welcomed. Pet smart has good prices on most pet supplies. Best of all they price match with several stores and many internet sites. The people who work there are usually friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. read more

I like this Pet Store because they're all over and they have some of the best prices. You can get all your basic needs met for cat dog bird etc. at this pet store. The staff was friendly and helpful. They greeted me when I came in the door. I only had to wait a minute before getting checked out one person in front of me. Michelle is a wonderful groomer and treated my dogs so well. Unfortunately, Emily (who I beleive is some type of "manager") is a nasty woman. I had two bad experiences with her. The first time I got to the shop a little early and she would not check my dog in and made me stand around and wait until my exact grooming time. The second time was the deal breaker. She called to tell me that Michelle could not honor the appointment I made 2 weeks earlier (the day before the appointment) because she had another dog at that time, but I could come five hours later. I told her that this was not acceptable, as I had my day scheduled around the dog's grooming appointment. I told her that she needed to re-schedule the other dog and she told me that she would not do that. I told her that if she could not accommodate my appointment, then we would need to cancel it. Her answer was "fine" and she hung up. Emily needs some customer service training. Her poor service has cost Petsmart and Michelle two good customers. read more

Called and asked if they could hold a bag of dog food for me as i had gone to 2 other locations that did not have it and was told no when i have had this done at this location before ... asked for a manager (and a girl named jessicca) said i was speaking to one and that it didnt matter that i couldn't get the food at another location and that it didn't matter i had been searching for my dogs food at 2 Of their other stores ... she had no compassion or consideration and did not care that i was 15 Mins away from the store and was almost in tears begging her to just hold the bad for 15 Mins .... got there and the cashier was the same way and when i asked for a manager again he said he was the manager ... oh but i thought the file on the phone was when i called ... i will never go to that store again and if it hadn't been for me needing the food ASAP i would have gone to a different place all together ..... very unhappy very sad in these time they just don't give a poop .... Don't come here to get groomed. I've tried to go here 3 times and every time it's a train wreck. First time the groomer is a no show. Second time attitude about what he was scheduled for that we scheduled in the store. Third and last time I set up for a haircut and they set it up for a bath. Pet Smart Grooming - Pompano Beach Location Let me start by saying that everyone is very nice and I believe that they take great care of your animal why they are in their care. I have used them before this appointment. With that said, I took my 13 year old Lab Mix in for a bath, nail trim. My appointment was made days before for 12:30pm. When I got there, we discussed my dog and the services to be performed. The groomer said with dark nails it is better to grind them. So I ordered the extra service of nail grinding. I dropped him off around 12:20pm. At 4:35pm I received a call that he was ready. She also mentioned that she had a problem doing his nails so she was not charging me. I was nearby so I figured just discuss it when I get there. My dog is 13, I have never cut his nails, I have always had the groomer do it. So for 13 years his nails have been cut on a regular basis. So here is the point. I think the groomers there are unexperienced. From now on my dog will only go to a local shop for his bath and nails. The only reason I used Pet Smart was because they were opened on Sunday. Go elsewhere for grooming, and read honest reviews. read more

Had an appointment for my dog for general grooming which was made in advance, a small 8 lb Shitzu, 1year old, shorter hair, scheduled for a general groom removing about 1" of hair, She had been there once before and I was talked into buying a package for a second grooming- I was happy. When I called for the second appt. I was told they didn't have her rabies vaccine paperwork (which I had brought with me the first time - so I had to bring it again) I arrived on time for a 9am appointment today but I needed to pick up my dog at 12 noon, (which i mentioned on the phone when making the appointment) but they could not guarantee that she would be ready at that time - So frustrating, why can't they tell you on the phone or when making the appointment - it will take more than 3 hours to groom a smal 8lb Shitzu. The staff on this Monday morning, just seemed unprofessional, unmotivated, and non-empathetic. I will not return. Just a heads up read more
