Covid Update: I am updating my rating to 1 star, but it would be 0 stars if available. Some businesses have navigated the pandemic well and put the well being of their customers first but this is not one of those places. You don't have to look further than their Instagram or Facebook feed to see they don't support masking and are actively rallying against masking and Covid mandates. If they can't follow simple AHS guidelines and look out for their customers I don't feel they deserve my business and I will never be back. read more

I am so impressed with the customer service at Doggy Style Deli. I got a new dog and he has some health issues with mange. The owners have knowledge on that and they've taken a lot of stress off of me and gave me some great information. I really enjoy the fact that the store itself promotes freedom to choose. I have amedical exemption and its nice not being harassed and condemned. So far the food is great. I feel better having the dog off kibble. This could add years to his life. My dog had such a great time visiting the store. They just let him explore. Definitely made a lifelong customer out of me and I don't live anywhere near the shop. GROOMING ONLY - not recommended for grooming services. Got my dog in on short notice for a summer trim. He had wavy two inch hair but given the hottest part of summer is coming, I thought he'd appreciate a lighter coat. He's a very easy going fella, easy to groom. Sadly the outcome was not to my standards and definitely meets the "meh I've had better" qualifier for two stars. He is covered in comb marks, has several baldish patches where his hair was cut shorter, and had a few obvious long uneven hairs on his ears. Also, as others have experienced, I was charged $13 more than expected as they insisted my dog was heavier than the weight category I had anticipated, "oh yeah, way over". I weighed him when I got home as I was sure he was not as heavy as they said, and he was 2 pounds under the weight category they said. I'm sure they didn't remove two pounds of hair, so I am not impressed. As a regular customer I was very disappointed. Customer service was good as usual and I believe they treated my dog well as he was calm when I picked him up, but I would definitely not use their grooming services again. Should have stuck to the groomer my family has used for over 20 years, but the convenience won out. Never again! read more

Absolutely love this place!! I always said it would be nice to take my fur baby somewhere special just for her! The family owned business is so friendly, they chatted with us while our fur baby ran around and had the time of her life!! The hot meals they serve even had my mouth watering! And a pup friendly cupcake for dessert?! The children especially get my 5 stars, amazing children you guys are raising! Another note, anyone sticking one star because of "Covid mandates" go kick rocks and touch some grass. Wear your mask if you want. Or don't. That's your CHOICE. As we all should have a choice. This store is owned by a lovely wife and husband and I can't praise them enough for all the great food, treats, cakes etc that they offer dogs. My Pug "Pistol" turned 1 and she went above and beyond and made this amazing cake in the shape of a Pistol for her and my other pugs. I plan on ordering again next week for my other dogs birthday. Seriously though, bring your dog in and you'll leave with a happy pup!!! 5 Stars without a doubt. I'm lucky Edmonton has such an awesome store here. I know Calgary doesn't!! Super fun for 2 legged creatures and their 4 legged wards. Seems to be family run, owner very approachable and friendly. Gave my dog a free duck sausage roll. 2 orders of terrier turkey dinner and 2 Maltese meatloaf. Dogs gobbled it up. Frozen food available in individual serving sizes. Many homemade treats- bought beef liver and heart and liver muffin to be kept refrigerated. Extensive selection of dog shirts, coats, collars and toys. You can also have nails done on a drop in basis and grooming. Will be back for more dog family fun. Update: bought some liver and heart treats for dogs. Put in fridge as instructed. All dogs had massive diarrhea and 1 puked. I guess just like human food, you have to be careful. But the dinners were still super at the restaurant. read more

Doggy Style Deli is everything I hoped it would be. It really is a dining experience for your best pal. I joined my friend and her two small pooches for a bite to eat on Sunday afternoon. When we arrived, the owners were setting up for a bulldog birthday party. They were going all out with banners, decorations, paper plates, and party hats. I wish I could have seen the party in action! The room is set up with items for sale (dog clothes and toys) on one side and dining tables on the other. We went with an order or the hound burger helper and the duck and turkey lasagna for the two pups and they GOBBLED it up. The were allowed to sit right up on the tables if they wanted to. It was the cutest thing. This was such a fun, unique, experience. I definitely recommend Doggy Style to anyone wanting to give their pup a treat. The only thing I would change is to offer some drinks for our human friends, though there might be a health code reason for why they don't. read more

DoggyStyle Deli --I like the concept and the idea, but found it to get a bit chaotic. Thankfully the dogs that came in all seemed to be good with other dogs sticking their noses in others food bowls. I liked the selection of apparels and toys very much, but I didn't get a chance to see the pricing. It didn't smell like a kennel and was very clean, so this was a big plus! The meals our group of pooches had were good sizes (8 oz) and a decent price. The reason it seemed chaotic was the amount of dogs coming in and out and people coming in and out to make their retail purchases. It would also be nice if they could offer maybe bottled water or pops for the humans :) I am glad we checked it out, but I don't think it will become a regular visit location. read more

The raw meat offered by doggy style deli is probably one of the worst brands of meat you can feed to your dog. At first I thought the meat was okay & after months of feeding it to my puppy we've come to realize it's the worst quality ever which is why the price is so cheap. The raw meat cubes & monster balls are disgusting they are purely fat and "chicken". Chicken is one of the most cheapest proteins to mix in the food & that's why they have it in everything. When you defrost the meat it just melts into this mush of fat & no visible protein to even see in it. The cubes come in different sizes ... & the owners both say different feeding guides when you ask them. Eventually my puppy wouldn't even look at it let alone eat it. If you really care about what your feeding your little furry friends (which you probably are if your feeding be raw) this is the last place I would recommend someone to go. I wouldn't even recommend this place. I've heard so many bad reviews & experiences with the owners. I've never had a bad experience with the customer service however they are trying to sell shitty product that's for sure. They have a good sales pitch at first but once you compare their meat to other places you'll come to realize very quick. If your looking for quality meat with lots of addition supplements & reasonable price I would recommend barkers dog club ! 500x better then the shit they sell here. You can tell the difference in quality just buy looking comparing the two :) hope this helps anyone looking to try this place! read more

What a crazy concept! I love it! Doggy Style Deli (interesting name isn't it?), is a deli for dogs! They also carry pet supplies and do grooming at the shop but they are, first and foremost, a doggy deli. Walking in, I was greeted very cheerfully (you can tell the people who work their LOVE their job). I asked a couple of questions, since I had never been to a dog deli before and they were all answered to fullest extent with a huge smile on the worker's face. They have booths set up, like a restaurant, and a big open space for the dogs to roam free. There was a little Pitbull puppy inside when I got there and she was the most beautiful little thing! She was obviously extremely happy to be there and , I'm telling myself, extremely happy to see me! Doggy Style Deli, I still can't get over the name, has a take out menu with all of the great meals that they offer. I've taken some pictures of the menu so you can see what it is that they offer. I really hope this little shop does well. Like I said, I love the concept behind it (and I'm sure my dog will agree)! read more

Our pup had cabin fever today,Mao we thought we would check out doggy Style Deli. We loved the fact that we could take her in, and that the store had a gate so the dogs could play free in the deli. Our pup made some quick friends and enjoyed sniffing around the store. We got caught up in the novelty of a deli for dogs, and bought our girl some Maltese Meatloaf. She loved it and it was quite humorous to watch her sit on top of the table and devour her food. We will see how her stomach liked it later I'm sure, but she was in heaven in the moment! The only issue with the experience was that it was rather chaotic in the deli. The staff were kind of zipping about and seemed very exuberant, but a bit dishevelled. I wouldn't have minded a bit of a more professional approach by them when explaining what was in the Maltese Meatloaf. read more

We took our dog there in the spring and got him shaved. They quoted one price but when he was done they charged DOUBLE! and we had to take him back to get fix ups (they were supposed to cut his nails but missed some and did not cut the hair on one leg). They apologized when I called the next day and had me bring him in again to make the corrections - they told me there would be a discount the next time we visited. THEY LIED !!! My husband did not want me to give them another chance but I did. Took him in today - quoted one price, they tried to charge 60% more!! They are con artists and have no idea on grooming/ dog breeds and dog nutrition (they had NO idea that dogs could be allergic to wheat - have you seen many dogs/wolves grazing in pastures). Went here with a friend and his dog.. I guess if you don't know what this place is about that might sound weird to you. It is a restaurant for dogs. I won't lie to you, even though the name is kind of a giveaway, I thought this was a place for humans. Then he brought his dog in with us and I was like what the hell is going on here? Then I realized it was a deli for dogs. I didn't even know these kinds of things existed. The people working here were so nice and the dogs had their own little spaces to relax. I had heard of this place from some people at the local dog park who made it sound semi-interesting. I was very disappointed and kind distressed. The dude was SO rude to a customer and acted like he knew everything... abrasive to say the least. And for whatever reason I stayed around and asked a bit about their products and services. I felt pressured to by their stuff (cookies and other creations)... and the guy wouldn't even tell me what they were comprised of (my dog has sensitivities to certain ingredients for which I didn't feel like I needed to disclose). He tried to act all nice and pretend he didn't just act like the biggest jerk on the planet to the previous customer. All I could think of was that I needed to get out of there! I left with nothing and felt satisfied. I have since spoken to other friends of mine from the dog park and I'm not the only one. We went to the deli today for our dog's birthday treat. We received a warm welcome and our dog certainly felt like the birthday girl! She had a turkey dinner and got some free cookies and a leash. We went to the Deli unsure of what to expect. We were very pleasantly surprised. We were there for some time and enjoyed the service and loved the interaction with the dogs that were there. The owner was very helpful and respectful - she was a delight and interacted very well with our shy and timid dog. We stayed for one meal and added another for takeout and our dog loved it. We recommend it highly. Good treats, good service, good prices and good food. read more

I absolutely loved this place! I took my dog here for his birthday a couple days ago and he absolutely loved it too! I think it was the owner that helped me and he honestly couldn't have been more nice. Not sure what the other reviews are talking about. I had never been here before and he was so kind, telling me what their store offers, how it works, etc. He sat me at a table with a menu and told me some of the best sellers. Once i ordered he ran back, cooked it up and was out to me in probably 5 minutes. My dog loved the food but was more excited about all the people and other dogs he could hear in the back getting groomed to be honest. The only complaint i have, is they have a little poodle that runs around the store, and of course being a dog, wanted some of the food i had for my dog. It was a little annoying because i had to keep moving the dish around or shooing him/her away. Would have been nice if they grabbed the dog and kept it away, but that's minor i suppose. The prices are pretty cheap too, he said the meals come in "Yorkie size" or "Mastiff size" I have a pomeranian, so i opted for the Mastiff size figuring i'd just take it home if he didn't finish. He didn't, so they put it in those cute little Chinese food to go containers. I also bought a bag of beef & liver treats and all said and done it was $17! So cheap. As i was paying the owner asked where i was parked and asked if it was easier for me to go out through the back instead; so considerate! I will absolutely be coming back. They cater to big dog parties too which is just hilariously awesome. Such a cute idea, i love this place! read more

I have had a horrible experience with them grooming my dog......or not grooming it, just throwing some water on her, charging me then sending her home. Being a long hair dog, brushing before bathing is a must and it was not done. I ended up having to bring her straight in to another groomer right away to get brushed out so she wouldn't be horribly matted. The second groomer I took her to was absolutely shocked at what they did, telling me that anyone that knows even just the basics of grooming knows you have to brush out the dog before bathing it, nevermind bathing it and never brushing it at all! When we called to tell them about this they were extremely rude and pretty much told us too bad. Top that with the fact that this place supports unethical dog breeders and it is not a store that I would support. I wish someone else would open a store like this as it is a great idea, just not good store owners. read more

What a great place, I was amazed with the things they have in there. I bought a cake for my dogs b day with what ingredients I wanted in there peanut butter, apples, carrots, and liver, lol. They have a variety of raw dog food frozen in cubes, which everyone knows is much better and healthier than store bought kibble which has horrible things in them. The owner have a couple of free samples of the raw dog food, I will be trying it, and I'm sure I'll be back to buy more. Great place and would recommend to anyone who loves there dog. read more

I have driven past this place for a few years now and yesterday I stopped by with my Rotti Justice who had sutures removed from his face and as a reward we stopped by to see what this place was all about. The moment we walked in the door the greeting was warm and friendly. Justice met a new girlfriend and they played and explored while Justice's TURKEY DINNER was made in minutes. When the gentleman brought it out I could have chowed down on the that meal....needless to say Justice enjoyed his yummy lunch and his time at Doggie Style Deli...we will definately be back!!!
