Best groomer I have come across. Ryan is gentle and loving to our dog and really does a great cut.

Really, really pleased with Ryan's work, he has meticulous attention to detail. I didn't annoy the girls with touch-ups all evening!

Highly recommend this place they really know how to groom dogs…read more i have been struggling to find a place and have had really bad experiences I live in Centreville Virginia and I have tried all the grooming services including vans that go to houses And really bad service This place " how cute your dog Grooming " is top of the line and super reasonable prices

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE customer service. I would never come back to this establishment, and if you…read morecare for your dog I'd suggest finding another groomer who will treat not only you (a paying customer) WITH RESPECT but also your pet whom you entrust with them to care for. I simply asked a question to check in on my dog to see if they were done and the lady at the front desk was so rude in responding. Even when I dropped off my pet, she wasn't welcoming nor was she kind in the way she spoke. She was even telling me what to do with my own dog. Such a mean and unpleasant person to deal with. I should've took this as a sign to just leave. Basic human interaction includes being polite and this place can't even offer that. Front desk receptionist needs to learn manners. Also as other reviews mention, their dog has come back with scratches and cuts on their skin. Manners aside, at least take care of the dog. Would never recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and go elsewhere to a grooming establishment with better customer service and genuine care for your pet.

Danielle is friendly and reliable and most of all - she does a great job. We always go with a short cut on our Maltese for ease of maintenance and Danielle's cuts are very consistent. Our dog always looks the same, which is a big positive in my book. Other groomers have delivered inconsistent looks when we simply wanted the same haircut. The convenience of the mobile service is hard to beat too. It's a little more expensive than service at a brick and mortar building, but it's worth it in my opinion. You won't regret going with this business for your furry friend's grooming needs. Highly recommended. ***In the post-grooming photo of my pup, he'd had a recent vet procedure that resulted in a stitch in his forehead and a partially shaved right leg. Danielle was careful and attentive***

Most groomers do multiple dogs at once--and your dog sits in a cage in the meantime. Not great. Maria is working with just one dog --yours--from start to finish--so it's way less stress for your baby. I should also mention that Maria is the best, kindest, most competent dog groomer in the DMV. Full stop. If you have a small dog, don't even *think* about going anywhere else! Not only will your furbaby be gorgeously groomed, you will have the peace of mind of knowing he is being cared for by 1) someone who genuinely loves dogs, and 2) is also incredibly talented and experienced. I don't trust my little guy with anyone but Maria.

She was utterly unprepared and rude when she showed up for the next appointments and accused me of never scheduling my third dog. When I provided proof of my text booking all 3 dogs she was defensive, dismissive and proceeded to shave my third pup down rather than properly bathe and groom her. Pretty sure I smiled through it, tipped her for all three dogs while mentally noting never to book with her again. Thea is great but only on her terms. I don't recall snark and attitude as add-on options on her dog grooming menu but she delivered it in spades.

And is very sweet, but obsessive over making himself have mats. It's quite annoying. Because of this, I had been taking him every month to a groomer, until he got too old to get in and out of a car. I managed to find Thea and Sassy Tailz, and I am so grateful. Thea is SUPER sweet, and was able to fit in Deacon within a few days of my appointment request. She got back to me immediately, gave me an estimate of price and a time frame of arrival. I was pleasantly surprised at her price, knowing that typically saying a 100 pound plus long haired dog is normally...very expensive... and she was super reasonable. She arrived, was really sweet, and I left her to do her thing. I came out maybe 45 minutes later to see how she was doing and my dog already looked AMAZING. She had gotten allllllllllllll his extra fur out, he looked glossy, not particularly thrilled to be in a tub, but SO handsome. She was so kind to him, giving him snuggles as she groomed him, and let me stay in the van while she finished him, because she noticed he was more calm with me there. Normally after a grooming, Deacon sheds...a lot... for a few days. He didn't shed AT ALL, probably because she has this giant blower that got out all that sheddy stuff in her van. I've never seen so much fur in my life. It was amazing. I typically would get Deacon groomed every month or so, but due to his age, she suggested every three months. I loved that she recommended this because she said he was stressed and she didn't want to put him in that position at his age. That to me was so huge - she cared more about my dog's health than she did money. Having someone who met my dog for an hour care more about not stressing him out than making a more regular paycheck was everything. Deacon looks so handsome - Thea is amazing - I cannot say enough good things about Sassy Tailz.

We initially loved taking our doodles to get groomed here when Jina was the owner but they've…read morechanged ownership since then and we've decided to part ways with Pretty Paws. There have been several changes implemented due to new ownership: 1) They no longer have cage free grooming and they put our dogs into kennels while they wait for us to pick them back up 2) Prices have gone up about 2-3 times due to the rise of inflation which is understandable but wanted to share to other dog owners for awareness 3) They use an assembly line process for grooming which is faster so our large dogs are typically in and out within ~2 hours Although our doodles typically came out well groomed for the most part, they both began to dread coming in and felt more anxious than usual, which wasn't a good sign to us. Additionally, the new front desk staff (male) could work on his customer service etiquette as he has came off as condescending multiple times to both myself and my husband regarding the care of our dogs. Our other friends who also brought their dogs here have shared similar sentiments. This is not their fault, but the location can be challenging to get to during traffic hours (they close at 4PM Monday through Saturday) since it's right on 50 and a lot of cars are going out west.

I have been going here for over 6 years - I found the post I originally made about this place…read more WELL. 5 stars no longer applies. I moved away to NY for 6 months and when I came back I went straight to the same groomers my Pup had been to since he was a puppy. I called to make my usual appointment and was asked To resubmit veterinary information again in a rude manner. Then when I arrived I was greeted by a new face at the desk. A man who said he was hired to do everything the right way unlike "before". Yet when I Asked if they were under new Ownership the man said, "NO" Here are my following reasons for their 1 Star- 1. New ownership Yet the man at front desk outright told Me ownership did not change. WHY LIE About the switch? 2. Price- increased and they even charged me. Handling fee bc they said my Dog was unmanageable, yet, the previous owners LOVED HIM. 3.customer service- new guy upfront-He was unprofessional and unpleasant. I shouldn't have left my dog especially because I felt Something was off with this man's energy. But I summed it up to maybe he was having an Off" Day. He was just rude and unkind, unlike previous owners. He would go on and on about how he was there from out of state bc his mom was unwell so I also felt bad for him, but I was also on a tight schedule. I just found this to be extremely unprofessional. Get this- I tried something new with my pup for the first time and had his tail Colored ( safely of course bc this is practically my Son). The man comments- he's not a fan of Color but to each their own. That owners who dye their dogs should do their research on how bad it is for their pets... uh really? I just ignored his unwarranted opinion but was quite upset by it. 4. going to trust myself and my pups initial reaction when picking him up. He use to love Going to the groomers and now he's terrified. 5. I paid extra for teeth cleaning which I could tell was not done and they did not trim his dewclaws which was previously always cut. At pick up, even though I was trying to get out of there as much as my dog was, the man proceeded to lecture me about taking care of my dog at home, so that he is not so matted, and that is why they had to shave him all the way at this point, I was so traumatized I just wanted to get the heck out of there, so I just paid and left as unhappy as my pup was. Oh and before I could finish paying the man asked if I was going to tip bc it is customary... really!?! I'm in the service industry I'm well aware... Never going Back - sad about the changes!
