His two favorites were garlic and roasted red pepper. Both really tasted like what they are. Other flavors include original, artichoke and jalapeno cilantro. My husband was most fond of the olive tapenade. Multiple types of olives are combined to create a salty and tangy mixture. Roughly a dozen dips are made by Doctor Hummus. Many of their products are vegan. Everything they make goes great with their pita chips. Their pita chips are not greasy, and have a great snap. Chips include original, garlic and rosemary varieties. Was at Roadrunner farmers market with my family. My daughter and I purchased the chipotle vegan ranch dip. It was absolutely amazing! So flavorful and spicy but not too spicy that you had to stop eating it. Going back Saturday to purchase more and to try his chips and hummus. This dip, specifically the Garlic, is pretty much going to bankrupt me. Not kidding, I have a serious addiction. It is the BEST I've ever had, and ever will have, you cannot change my mind. Only critique - GIVE US BIGGER sizes, like think Costco portions. We decided to try another one of their delicious items...the Vegan Italian Ranch Dip. I don't usually go for Vegan items, but this was so good, we had to get it. Not only is it wonderful as a dip with their pita chips, but I made myself a roast beef sandwich and spread it on the bread...amazing!! Discovered this company at our local Gilbert Farmers Market. We purchased pita chips, cilantro jalapeño hummus and jalapeño artichoke ranch dip. The ranch dip is gluten and dairy free but wow it didn't lack in flavor. We ended up eating it all in less than a week! Can't wait to go back and try other flavors. read more

Never again. **Full disclosure** this review is not an indictment on the quality of this product, rather the way they treat people in general. Went to the Phoenix Public farmers market this morning with my wife and had a very disappointing interaction with a Doctor Hummus representative (Beth) at their booth. Upon arriving at Beth's booth she offered a hummus sample to myself. The flavor was one that I do not like so I denied that and asked what other sample options there were. Beth was visibly annoyed for whatever reason... and proceeded to ignore me and my question. She turned her attention to the two other customers at the booth. She created an awkward situation where the woman she was serving even tried to quell the situation by creating nervous small talk with me. Beth continued to ignore me so I then made it clear i just wanted the official company name and her name. She immediately got the drift and instead of saving a customer interaction gone array... she fidgeted, hesitated to give info, and continued to be rude. I searched the yelp and found it and got her name as well. Over the years (at least) 6 I have (or my wife) have been purchasing from this booth. Even purchasing the hummus at Whole Foods many times. Very weird that they would treat people like this in a public setting. You would think it would be in their best interest to put on a good customer service face for that one day. I highly recommend not going with this company for your hummus purchase. In this day and age people care about what a company represents, their culture, and how their touch points effect the community around them. I got the distinct feeling that THEY DO NOY CARE ABOUT YOUR INDIVIDUAL PURCHASE. Beth, you dropped the ball. Bad day, hate men, stubbed your toe this morning.... doesn't matter. Run, don't walk to Dr Hummus. I know there is no such thing as a doctorate in Hummus but if there was, this guy would get the first one issued. We visit the good Doctor at the Ahwatukee Farmers Market but you can find his flavors at other markets or stores like Whole Foods and Bashas (beware, the grocery stores have limited flavors so I recommend finding your closest Farmers Market). Dr Hummus has a variety of hummus flavors (duh) but also has other delicious items like pesto, dips, tapenades, taboouli, and tzaziki. Our go to flavors are Garlic Cashew (dip) and Jalapeno Cilantro Hummus. Seriously we can eat an entire container of Garlic Cashew in one sitting. The awesome part about the farmer's market is you can try all of the varieties of Dr Hummus before you buy. And I totally missed out on one of the best parts of Dr Hummus, his home made pita chips! Make sure you pick up a carton with your dips, I promise you will not be disappointed. Plus, if you buy 3 items at the farmer's market, he sends you home with free pitas. read more

Every time I visit AJ's, I beeline straight to the dip section and pick up some pita chips and one of the delicious dips (hummus, Vegan jalapeno spinach dip, guac, etc) and I was very excited when I recently went to the Old Town Farmer's Market and got to meet Doctor Hummus in the flesh! Doc Hummus knows how to dip. His pita chips taste like buttery heavenly goodness and I could consume a box in minutes. His dips are fresh full of flavorful. My favorites include the vegan jalapeno spinach dip (it's made with tofu and doesn't taste dairy-free), his guacamole because it's very fresh and has a nice kick to it and of course any one of his hummus dips! I find that his products are less expensive at the Farmer's Market so I encourage anyone who's in the Old Town area to pay the Doc a visit! read more

Doctor hummus a small set up at Tempe marketplace every Sunday, and it's 10/10. Everything he sells is really good from his hummus, to the dips he sells. He also sells a couple varieties of chips and they're always homemade and delicious. He is a really good guy and his stuff is really good at a good price. I bought this hummus at a local farmers market. The guy selling it must not have thought I was worth his time, because he kept offering samples to the people behind me while ignoring me (was it the blue hair?). Once they left (after giving glowing reviews of the hummus but not actually buying anything) he was forced to converse with me. I bought the garlic pita chips and garlic hummus. The pita chips were tasty. The hummus was bland and flavorless and grainy in texture - a huge disappointment given that it costs twice as much as the hummus sold at Sprouts, which is great. If the vendor decides to give me the time of day the next time I stop I may get some pita chips, but I won't waste my money on the hummus. Dr hummus is one of my biggest addictions! I love the fresh pita chips with cilantro jalapeño hummus. It is tahini free which means much less fat and calories. Overall a healthier option than your average hummus. It is a little bit pricier, but well worth it. Bring this to a party and you can't go wrong! read more

This place is quite unique! We purchased the plain chips and the basil cashew hummus. The hummus had great flavor. I never would have known it was hummus if I did a blind taste test, but it was flavorful and creamy. Both items totaled $15, a bit pricey but makes for a good treat. The chips were thin, crispy, and seasoned to my liking too. They also offered a nice variety of samples at the Gilbert Farmers Market and the man running their booth provided good customer service.
