I stopped in on a very specific mission: ingredients for a ridiculous pozole-pho fusion experiment. I'd already been to one of my usual Asian markets, forgot half of what I needed (because apparently I like making life difficult), and figured I'd give this place a shot. My first thought walking in was, "Oh, this is smaller than I expected." About three minutes later I realized, "No... it's just efficiently packed." The produce section keeps going farther than you think, the shelves are stocked with all the staples I recognize, and then you hit the meat department... and wow. Seafood, pork, lamb, goat, beef bones, organ meats--you name it, they probably have it. If you're looking for something that makes the average grocery store employee say, "We don't carry that," this is probably where you'll find it. I grabbed pho spices, fish sauce (and was genuinely excited to find a vegan fish sauce option!), two pounds of beef bones, and an onion for about $15. Honestly? I expected to spend more. I also stumbled across a Jamaican section, which completely caught me off guard in the best way. I was there with tunnel vision, otherwise I probably would've wandered around for another half hour convincing myself I suddenly needed ingredients for three different cuisines. The checkout was quick, the cashier was friendly, and while the parking lot was surprisingly quiet, don't let that fool you. This isn't one of those giant, chaotic destination markets, feels more like the neighborhood spot where people already know they can find what they need. It is nicely organized which made my quick stop in very easy. I'll definitely be back. Next time I'm giving myself permission to actually browse instead of speed-running my shopping list. Something tells me I'll leave with way more than I came for... and honestly, I'm okay with that.

**July 2026: Saturday Late Afternoon Visit**…read more When I'm on vacation, I'm always on the hunt for local Arizona products at grocery stores, and AJ's Fine Foods did not disappoint. I was excited to find Prickly Pear Lemonade by AZ Lemonade, which was exactly the kind of local gem I was hoping to discover. This is definitely a really nice grocery store and gives off a bit of a Pavilions/Whole Foods vibe, but in a more quaint, slightly more mom-and-pop kind of way. The produce looked super fresh, and they had a really good assortment of Arizona products like BBQ sauce, honey, and other local items. Overall, it feels like a more upscale shopping experience, and if you're looking for a grocery store with local finds and a nicer atmosphere, this is a great stop.

Many, many moons ago, while working a high stress, low paying government position in the area,; I used to come here for lunch every nearly every day with coworkers and my supervisor. It was a little pricey, but you couldn't beat those big slices of warm pizza and the salad bar to go, not to mention the dessert. Not only was a a customer during their lunch hour, but I was also a customer that shopped for groceries there. The bakery was my favorite with the iced sugar cookies winning hands-down. The last time I was here was with my son in 2014 to get those sugar cookies mentioned above. So imagine my surprise when I am aggressively approached by two men, who I've never seen before in my life, but clearly work there, telling me that I've been trespassed from that store before and that I need to leave. I am utterly flabbergasted, floored, speechless. At this point, I had a basket full of groceries and I was waiting to be served at the bakery. Just like every other law abiding citizen, I ask what is going on and what are they talking about. Now, I am a relatively young female, unaccompanied in the store with a pretty severe case of CPTSD. Now, of course I do not expect these men to know this but grabbing my purse and other bagged items that I previously purchased, shoving them aggressively into the sides of my arms and shoulders all while saying things like " you know who you are" that I "have been trespassed here before" (untrue) they "have a right to refuse service and don't have to tell me anything" and I "know what I have done" and they "know what I am up to." while literally surrounding me and physically grabbing my car and shoving my things at me. Needless to say, I was severely triggered. In fact, they didn't even give me all of my stuff from my basket actually, maybe they did; I'm so traumatized by the whole thing that I don't even know. What I do know is that I've never stolen anything from AJ's in my entire life. I'm not a thief. In fact I won't even steal refills from Circle K because I feel like they will know. I have no idea who they have mistaken me for, perhaps no one . It would not surprise me if they just made some kind of judgment based off of my appearance. Never have I ever been in a situation like this before but I wanted to let everyone know how they treat people with zero explanation. H de my body tr free have a basket full of and I'm waiting to be served at the bakery. Two gentlemen aggressively approached me and tell me that I'm trespassed from their store and that I need to leave.

I'm going to start by saying just, WOW!!! This place is hands down the best Marisco spot in all…read moreArizona. Los Reyes has the most flavorful and well seasoned mariscos I've had this side of the southern border. Lets start with they Tostada de Ceviche de Camaron and the Tostada de Pescado, are prepared in a tomato juice base, with Lime, salt, pepper, and a little spice. It's topped with slices of green gold yes you read that right green gold aka Avocado. Once you have that first bite you get a flavor explosion with your taste buds bouncing off the roof of your mouth like they never have before. The tostadas are so refreshing and lite yet has and generous amount of shrimp as well as fish. Its just a perfect blend of freshness for a hot Arizona summer. Now he Tostada Reyna is a blend of both the fish and shrimp ceviche but to take it to another level its topped with octopus whole cooked shrimp and Callo de Hacha aka Scallops which takes this dish to another level it just brings me back to beaches of Sinaloa and makes me feel like I'm back at the beach enjoy some of the best mariscos I've ever had. As for the taco de Camaron aka shrimp taco it was ok nothing to call home about it wasn't bad but it wasn't the best I've ever had. Also the service is top tier they are very attentive and well mannered this place has no questions made it on my must have list not doubt about it by far the best I've had in Arizona and top 3 I've ever had. Please run don't walk to Los Reyes Del Camron Sinaloense. Trust me cuz your girl does ;) Don't forget to follow me on IG @yogirlzfavoritefoodie
