Who knew that there was a middle eastern mecca right down the street. I now know where to get my goat, bulgur, egyptian yogurt and oh so much more. Owned by a cute little lady who dreams of expanding and growing her own arabian kingdom , she was fun to talk to and find about her plans for her "corner". I loved checking out the grains and beans, I bet I could make an awesome bean soup with some of these treasures. I am sure I will be back for red lentils. I also was jazzed to find a 4lb bag of split peas for only 2.00 ...screaming deal. Anybody know what to do with pressed apricot ? It was inexpensive and seemed "cool" but not sure how to use it. They also had interesting spices , grains and ,taa daa ,various filo doughs and puffed pastry ...something I have had to go out of my way to buy before. I wished they had fresh produce but oh well. I am very curious about the new restaurant next door to be called Ali Baba's . I am sure it will be an adventure too.

I love the new bakery section here. Delicious middle eastern baked goods. Very hard to find in Phoenix.

Early 2026 I shopped this market for a particular canned Sardine in Spicy Tomato Sauce. I found it…read moreand bought several. Then, I perused the many long aisles in this huge warehouse-like market. I saw aisles marked overhead for Chinese, Japanese, Filipino, Vietnamese, and Eastern European countries. They have lots of frozen foods in freezer cases, fresh produce, and baked goods. Fresh and frozen meats. And Lots of ethnic condiments! Lots of packaged snacks and candies, too. Checkout was quick.

I normally shop at 99 Ranch over in Chandler, and occasionally will go to Mekong or Lee Lee's and everyone once in awhile, I will venture to H Mart, so we are definitely covered here in the Valley with many options for Asian or international grocery. I was here yesterday and I always like to check out all their fresh made Korean dishes. They have seafood and kimchee pancakes and variety of ban chan available! Great! There is always fresh produce available, meats, seafood, freezer items. I like coming here to supplement what I can't find elsewhere. My purchases on this trip included: (1) ready-made spicy tuna onigiri ($3.99 each or 2/$7) - this was so-so, I can make a better one. (2) onigiri maker and silicone sushi roller - will be making my own rolls and onigiri at home. (3) burdock root seeds - going to figure out if we can grow these well out here (4) Nimboo pudina peanuts and chana (my favorite Indian snacks) (5) Asian sour lemon drink - Chanh Xi Muoi - this is my favorite with some seltzer on a hot summer day, so refreshing I found some unique items today and will be back again on my next trip out this way!

Today is #ThankYouThursday and I couldn't think of a better local business that I want to support and show some gratitude to than Twisted Bee Farms! Now we all know the important and crucial part that bees play into the environment so that goes without saying. Twisted Bee Farms is one of Arizona's best places for local honey. They have over thirty flavors of honey, they carry bee products (like honeycomb and bee pollen), and they even have edible flowers. I had ran across their booth at the eighth-annual Arizona Margarita Mojito Craft Beer Food Truck Festival (Yes, that's really the festival name) and I'm a fan now. You can go on their site and find out where they'll be popping up next. They're really big in the farmer's market scene! If you're a foodie, Twisted Bee Farms is not a place to miss. I recently put together one of those Instagram/TikTok butter boards and used their Raspberry & Habanero honey on it and wow! Amazing! I also bought their Carolina Reaper and that stuff, "makes my tongue sweat."

We found Twisted Bee Farms on Instagram and realized they had opened a brick and mortar about 6 weeks ago. Stopped by today and Yay!!! They had local bee pollen. And $10 cheaper for a similar size that we usually buy. So excited!!!! Can't wait to try their Honey and they are also going to have burritos, ( even vegan ones ) They also have smoothies and Açaí bowls. Can't wait to try it all!!!
