They do not disclose that they now charge you $175 just to show up! (Roto Rooter charges NOTHING for a consultstion). DEMAND a quote BEFORE they begin the work. DO NOT ASSUME they will assess the work, tell you the issue, how much theyll charge then allow you to decide if you want to move forward- as theyve done in the past. I own a multifamily property in BK but no longer live in the state. This company took advantage of this and performed work I never asked them to do then OVERCHARGED me for all of it. They also take it upon themselves to "fix" other issues they notice all in an effort to charge more. They assume most consumers are ignorant as to how much parts and labor actually costs. Tried to charge me $718 to REPLACE A FAUCET (NOT THE ENTIRE SINK) a faucet that I ALREADY PURCHASED. Stated they encountered "serious additional issues" while replacing it. If they found "additional issues" why not call me to let me know at that moment? Stated they took pictures then would send it to me. That made no sense like why take pictures? But okay waited for the pictures. Weeks later after I called back they said the "other" plumber who did the work deleted them!!!" MY husband reminded me he asked this plumber for an itemized bill because "hardware" and "parts" is hogwash! My tenants told me what they told them they did and it does not reflect whats on the invoice. 2nd why tell the tenants if I am paying you? Why not take MY call that day then tell me? Why send a bill 2 months after you left the property? Lastly, I had to pay other plumbers to come after them and fix the work they didnt! Now they are threatening to put a MECHANICAL LIEN on my property if I dont fully pay the BOGUS bill. Unscrupulous, price gouging! Now we have to go to court! Use ANY plumber BUT this one! Received FOUR different total charges...intially $1800, then $1500, then told dont pay anything via phone, then after I asked him to confirm that via text he texted $1100, then sent another bill for $1500. Absolute INSANITY!

After an entire morning of failed attempts to declog my bathroom sink, my wife reminded me that professionals actually know how to do it. We called and they were available that same day! He did arrive later than anticipated, given a 4-5pm window but didn't arrive until closer to 630pm - to his credit he accidentally went to a similarly-named street further away. All that aside, he was quick, efficient, and now I brush my teeth with the greatest of ease.

Tony the owner came to the house looked over my current system and suggested a new Weil McLain gas boiler and also to install a two zone control panel. We liked his presentation as well as giving us several comparable options as to equipment choices in case we could not get the Weil McLain boiler that we wanted due to supply chain shortages. From a price standpoint we found wolf HVAC to be very competitive . We chose to go with Tony. The Wolf HVAC crew came to my house at 8 AM started the job removed all the existing equipment and piping to clear the way for the new system which was the Weil McLain boiler Tony specified originally. They returned on the second day and completed the job, started and ran the boiler and tested the zones. They also installed two new Honeywell thermostats . They cleaned the basement and removed all the debris's. They worked very clean, the job was done in a professional manner and we were very satisfied with the results. I would highly recommend Tony and Wolf HVAC to anyone that would ask for a recommendation.

Outstanding Service - Highly Recommend!…read more We had an incredible experience with Tom Egan Cesspool Service, and I truly cannot recommend them enough. We needed a last-minute cesspool inspection for our lender, and Tom and his team came through without hesitation. They arrived on time, got right to work, and were professional from start to finish. What really stood out was how courteous, knowledgeable, and educational they were. They walked us through the entire process, showed us exactly what was happening using their camera system, and explained everything clearly so we felt confident and informed every step of the way. They completed the inspection thoroughly, cleaned up completely, and put everything back exactly as it should be. The price was very affordable, especially given the level of service and urgency, and the inspection report was completed immediately, which was critical for our lender. If you are looking for a company that is reliable, honest, professional, and truly cares about doing the job right, this is the one. We are so grateful for their help and would absolutely use them again. Highly, highly recommend!

Asked Walter to come and look at what we had and what he recommended to do. The boiler in the house was very old so we decided to go new. So Walter came to my home in Lynbrook the very same evening to discuss our options. Walter arrived at time he stated he would be there. He looked at our equipment and discussed what our options were. Walter gave me a very nice quote on a new unit. Walter then told me the date he could come in and do the job. We set the appointment with Rivas Mechanical. Walter and his crew showed up on time on the date discussed. Took him and his crew the day to do the install. When they were complete Walter walked us through the operation of the boiler equipment. After the job was completed he and his crew did an awesome job of cleaning any mess that may have occurred during the install, took all trash and old boiler and all old equipment to get rid of. Bottom line is Rivas Mechanical is professional, clean and very prompt. Would recommend Rivas Mechanical for any of your heating needs. Will use Rivas for all future heating and plumbing needs. 10 out of 10.

I left a message, and he returned my call almost immediately. After explaining the situation, he said he was in the neighborhood, just finished a job, and would be over within the hour. A half-hour later, he appeared, and, after assessing the problem, removed the damaged area along with the tee part that was corroded (it was at my insistence, as long as he was there). He explained everything he was going to do, and even let me help (holding flashlight, supplying towels, turning house faucets on and off as needed, etc.). About an hour later, the job was finished. Three weeks later (i.e., now!), it is still holding up, and I expect no problems. He was amiable without being patronizing, and the cost was about $300 cash, which I considered to be very reasonable. Great job all around! Thank you, Gordon! You are, now, my go-to plumber!
