I'm too old to use this word, but it fits perfectly! I WAS GHOSTED! At a quarter to one I called the number on the business card, he said was always in his pocket. No answer after several tries. Left a few voicemails and tried the other business number on the BELLO BUSINESS CARD. Two days later and no attempt to excuse or explain the blatant disrespect! I've been in this house for twenty years and shrugged off the insignificant question, 1974 on my name plank at the front door. The limp hand shake and constant side viewing. I am too brown to be around MASSAPEQUA PARK. 1974 this was 100% white, but your brown face does not compute with this address. Maybe I'm just annoyed about the disrespect and reading too much into it, but I called the numbers he gave me and we shook hands eye to eye. Even if he has legitimate reason for not taking a job, GHOSTING the client is not a good practice, but who am I to judge? Two days later not a word! When I finally found and reached out to Mike via Yelp (thank u YELP!) with preliminary questions, he was responsive and got back to me within an hour and we scheduled a visit for later on the same day. Mike and Elisa came by and quickly diagnosed the issue in being a collapsed drywell which we decided to replace. We went with Mike after a day or so of deliberation because he was responsive via text on answering all our questions and his price was fair compared to 2 other providers we were speaking with. He also promised (and fulfilled it during time of installation) to fix any broken sprinkler lines and asphalt driveway as he needed to enlarge the existing catch basin/drain, while another provider we spoke with, did not agree to do that which meant post installation, we would need to hire irrigation company and contractor for additional repairs. The day of install Mike came with his crew and in a couple hours of time, installed a new drywell along with filling the previous sinkhole and gave me a detailed paid invoice. It was interesting looking in the large hole they dug with heavy machinery since its not something I see often time, his crew was courteous while I was there. Mike then returned as promised a few days later to repair the sprinkler/asphalt and offered to come back if any issues. I had a positive experience w/ Mike and would recommend.

I usually do not fill out reviews but this one was warranted. Let me start off by saying that I…read moredon't Usually trust plumbing as they are usually high priced and will do anything to sell the job. Not the case with D and L plumbing. I had purchased my house a few years ago from a flip company. They never installed a drain hole for the washing machine. I was referred to D and L plumbing by a friend. I figured what risk is there if I just call for a quote. Right from the start I could tell this was going to be a better experience than I had dealt with in the past. He had me explain the issue and said he would be over the next day to asses it. He showed up right when he said he would and I showed him the lack of drain and showed him the crawl space so he can see where the drain should have been. He went into the crawl space and walked right over to where the drain should have been and said. " you actually already have a drain here it's just blocked". I was stunned. He went back up stairs and removed the blockage and put the washer drain hose into the drain inlet. I started the washer reluctantly but he assured me it would be fine. lo and behold , the washer started to drain with no issues. I was in awe of what just happened. Remember when I said I don't trust plumbers. I had had 2 quotes for $1500 and $1800 to " add a drain ". Now I am no plumber by any means and I am very uneducated regarding the whole plumbing process. I had thought that since I had gotten 2 quotes that were similar in price, this must be what it is going to cost. Goes to show you how honest and forthcoming this company really is. He was willing to lose the " job " and do the right thing and perform a simple fix. That is how you know a company will do the right thing by the customer and keep you in the loop the whole process. D and L plumbing is now my recommendation to anyone that needs a plumber for big or small jobs and I will be spreading the word to family and friends.

How are there no reviews yet? Got Pipes is THE BEST plumbing and heating service in the area…read morewithout question. My house has had spotty heat since I moved in, but I didn't own it until December 2021. As usual, the first very cold night of the year led to the heat going off, and I'd always called another local business for that problem. The other business would come out, tinker with the thermostat, charge me $225 and leave without fixing anything. A friend recommended Got Pipes, and number one, this company is very friendly and very responsive. I didn't realize how uncommon that was until I encountered it, and not having proper heat on cold days is the worst. So that's excellent. Second, on the very first visit, Eric came within like an hour and immediately explained the problem to me - that if the pipes froze, the heat would not work. In the dozens of visits from the company I used to use over the years, no one ever said anything about that. But I want to mention an experience that was really unusual. I had an inspector tell me I needed to lift up the boiler to pass an inspection, and he warned me it was costly. Once again, I called Got Pipes, Eric came out, and he insisted it was properly installed and that this was an unnecessary expense/risk. He even told me that if the inspector pressed it, to give the guy his number. The inspector DID press it, but the inspector's supervisor reviewed the finding and realized it was properly installed and already to code. I am so lucky I wasn't using the previous company, because it would have cost me a ton of money unnecessarily and likely would have required a complete replacement too. A month or so ago, I needed a vanity replaced and a tap fixed. Even though this was not an emergency, the vanity was outside and too heavy for me to move. And again, they came out really fast and installed the vanity and did an excellent job. (Pricing is insanely reasonable, from a person with not a lot of disposable income.) Being so new to owning a house, learning about and finding service people is difficult and scary, and often you don't know beforehand if initiating a service call has a baseline cost of a few hundred dollars (even if nothing is fixed). I'm no longer apprehensive about addressing problems/maintenance or replacing things, because plumbing and heating are such a big part of home maintenance and I know a great company can handle it.
