I worked closely with Dan and Freddie and both kept me informed. Only downside was the level of pressure and urgency they put in the begginning; it almost felt like a "do it now or else" mentality that you get in info-commericals or scams. This portion made me hestiate on some decisions as I was unclear/uncomfortable on what's covered vs what I would have to pay for out of pocket. Apart from this one issue, I would highly recommed this firm and work with them anyday. I am guessing they charge a lot but if it's through your insurance company, don't blink and go with their judgment :D

Aug 21 I had a house fire and the team showed up. I hired as it were my first experience dealing…read morewith such disaster. Too many teams had come up at my door and I was not in my best senses. In any case, first couple weeks of destruction process, everything was going smooth. My only issue with the workers was that one of them stole my mom's $3200. After confrontation, the owner found out and gave mom $3000 and we were assured that the culprit was let go. My trust was wavered by then but we continued with them because the owner returned mom's most money. However, the fire soot had damaged everything and I was assured that we will be able to total it all. Buy later we discovered that much was claimed as restored but here I thought that it was damaged for claim. Everything boxed up, but not protected well and seemingly left on damaged property to collect dust and debris and exposed to weather elements. During inventory process, we trying to look for a gold chain that should have been stored as well but was never found. It was a disappointment that alot claimed as cleaned and useful was also not protected well to keep so nothing was actually kept. I'm not sure who was at fault in all this but all parties involved say that it is up to the restoration team to have moved items that were worth keeping off site. Maybe it isn't this company at fault for miscommunication or mismanagement. But when we attempted to get info on some items, there was no feedback in the end. Towards the end, we couldn't continue with same to move items from property in order to prepare. I'll give you this, They were great with the demo part. Fast and furious. I am not confident about restoration, but that could be because my stuff was truly not restoration worthy. But because a big chunk of claim went to dry cleaning (stuff I never kept) and here, I lost a lot of potential claim amount.

After the repair, I discovered that the tub spout does not sit properly against the wall, so the job was not fully completed. I was told before they left that having them come back to address the remaining finish work would cost an additional $375. After already paying $1,630 for the repair, I'm disappointed that the installation was left this way. Update: I wanted to further update my review. After I reported that the tub spout wasn't sitting properly against the wall, the original technician came back and fixed it at no additional charge. It only took a few minutes, and everything is now working properly. The tub spout stays secure, and the shower operates as it should. I still feel the repair was expensive at $1,630, but I appreciate that they stood behind their work and returned to complete the job without any hassle. This review is in addition to a review I wrote about a different job Platinum Plumbing did for me…read more After 7 years or so I once again called on Platinum Plumbing for a project. Replace the first floor baseboard with high output baseboard. Peter measured the job up and returned with Christian another day to complete the work. I admit I was impressed with the concern that was paid to how each peice was installed. A level and tape measure was used on each peice of baseboard to insure that when completed the entire run was the same height and on the same plain. Each cover was trimmed if needed so it fit together properly. When they were done they cleaned up after themselves and even helped me put my things back, which they didn't have to do. I could say I'm happy with the work they did and leave it there. The truth is I'm really impressed with the work did, it came out more beautiful than I hoped. They showed more attention to detail than they had to, and the price was very competitive. Its been 7 years and Pete is still doing really prideful work.
