Big sporty brewery with seating overlooking the docks. The swordfish BLT was a surprising option on the menu and it was a very refreshing sandwich to the point that it didn't quite match the thick french fries it came with. I would have preferred it paired with something lighter or cooler (zucchini or sweet potato fries or thin crispy chips). The others at the table were pleased with what they've got as well. The guava margarita was quite nice too. This was a much better visit than a previous one I had on a rainy day when everyone was inside and it was very loud. Good food and good views! We had reservations on the upper deck high top tables. There was a good breeze so it was pleasant. They have some door seating but the outside seating is where you get the nice view. We had the pork dumpling app which was pretty good. I really liked my fish tacos but they were pretty small for the price. My husband had the clam pizza which he really liked and my son enjoyed the burger sliders and fries. I loved that they had foxon park diet birch beer. My son had fountain soda and there are no free refills on that so keep that in mind as the cup was pretty small for $3. After seeing Dockside Brewery in the Instagram posts and stories of many Food Blogger friends, I recently met some friends there. It was my first visit. The location is terrific. It has both water and bridge views, there is a cool outside seating area for warmer times. The inside is very nice too. My friends and I hung out near the bar and it was a good place to visit. Dockside has an awesome beer selection. I ordered a Maine Beer Lunch IPA, which is a favorite of mine that I often order when it's available. I also noted Ice Cream Man on tap. I didn't order food on this occasion, but I've seen pics of terrific looking food. I don't live nearby, but Dockside is one of those places I'll be looking for a reason to visit. Still good, but there are a few things that have brought it down at least one star. Charging boats to dock to spend money at your restaurant is crazy. Boaters are already spending so much money every week in gas to get there. Then will spend a few hundred at the restaurant. Now they want to charge you to tie up your boat while there. We won't be visiting by boat anymore, so you've lost $200-$400 from us monthly. Maybe do a deal where you spend a certain. Amount in the restaurant and you get validated dockage??? The fries were the best here. They changed them and not so good. They have so many people working here and they constantly come to clear the table while you're still eating. Back off. read more

Hands-down, one of my favorite places to eat in Milford, if not, my all-time favorite. Everything I have ever ordered is absolutely delicious, the service is always friendly, and it has the most relaxed vibe without being too much of a party scene to be annoying. You might wait a little while on a busy night, but they keep it moving, and the drinks are absolutely delicious. Definitely hit them up at least three times a month and they are the number one place for summertime because their outdoor area is gorgeous. I happened to be in the area for a basketball tournament and so happy that we discovered Dockside, established in 2020. No surprise, they were extremely busy for the holiday weekend and kickoff of summer. Reservations are required for tables, but we were fortunate to snag seats at the bar. We started off with the calamari and I was even happier to see a Hefeweizen on the draft list. The blonde ale was a good find too! For our main, we went with the lobster roll. It was delicious and the melted butter really was a kicker. Great afternoon bite. Dockside was buzzing all around. Great service and attitudes from the hostess's and bar staff. Thanks Lisa! While traveling, we love to stop at different breweries and this time we stopped into Dockside in Milford. First off, the taproom is warm, inviting and modern. We booked an igloo (neon lights) but cancelled our reservation when we arrived, due to the igloo being fogged up and the taproom being so much nicer. Some notes on the visit: Good - The NE IPAs. We tried 8 different pours and the New England's stood out among the rest. The Pilot 1.4 was crushable, very flavorful and not as hoppy as the newly released Pilot 1.5 (still very good, will depend on your tastes). The Feelin Juicy was a close 2nd. - The Popcorn Rock Shrimp and spinach dip were good bar food. The rock shrimp had some spice to it and a mountain of cabbage. Overall, it made me want to try more food. Meh - The Mexican lager was our least favorite. - The igloos had no view of the water, were decently muggy and overall didn't match the awesome aesthetic that the interior brings. Not much to complain about here. The warm, inviting taproom has good beer and bar food, as well as plenty of TVs and seating. read more

Again abt time we tried a place close to our home. This was a great surprise and glad we went. Ava and the rest of the staff were very friendly and service was also quick. The Lobster roll was huge and filling and the hamburger was also delicious. Will return again and make sure we go soon after opening to keep the quick service thing going! Came here to meet up with some cousins and had a lovely time! Even on a rainy day this place was full. The service was excellent even with a busy crowd. Friendly and attentive. I highly recommend you get the pizza it was amazing thin crust style. They have a large variety of unique pizzas! I tried the godmother without broccoli I never thought to have lemon on a pizza before but it was my new favorite! Plus DONT skip out on dessert the lava cake and brownie cookie sundae was the best way to end the night! We only had one drink but it was delicious and strong. I come to dockside all the time because I live down the street from it, AND because it is absolutely the best hangout spot. The food is amazing, i've tried almost the whole menu at this point. To say that I am irritated would be an understatement. I came here last night with my friend and was beyond disappointed with the "German food" for Oktoberfest. The wiener schnitzel? BEYOND DRY. I couldn't cut through it with the plastic cutlery I was given and litterally had to shred it with my bare hands. I took maybe 5 bites and brought the rest home where I had to rehydrate it this morning. The spatzle: IS NOT SPATZLE. Fettuccine noodles with mozz on top? Seriously? And for the price I paid, I'm less than amused. The streusel was not streusel, this is spice cake. And if you're going to advertise a burgermeister, make sure you denote it is a shot. Love this place! The water view is excellent. The open air dining, patio dining or bar dining are forest as well. Unfortunately we did not make reservations so we had to dine at the bar but it was all good. Obviously they have a pretty large selection of beer, but they also have a full bar if you prefer something stronger. For our lunch I had the Churrasco which came with rice and veggies. I substituted the rice for more veggies and it was perfect. The steak was cooked perfectly and it was delicious. So much flavor! My girlfriend preferred the ceviche tostada and she loved it. Normally she is not a big eater and she ate both tostadas. She said it was so fresh and lite, definitely one of the best she has had. Our friends made a reservation on a Wednesday for a group of 8 of us and I'm so glad we had a reservation because Dockside was packed! I started with their Kiss and Tell drink (vodka based) and I thought it was perfect. It was a light strawberry drink without the heavy aftertaste of vodka. We got a few apps, but I was most excited about the oysters. They were fresh and decently sized. My ahi tuna tacos were also delicious, though the ahi tuna could have been seasoned just a bit more. We were lucky to get a table without a reservation so we'd definitely book ahead next time. A lovely location! I love this place!!!! I don't live close per se, but my friends know I am always happy to make this drive. Everything on the menu is fantastic and comes out pretty quickly. The staff is energetic and fun. This place is busy all year round. They offer trivia and seasonal events. In the summer, you can find me at the outdoor bar or in a lounger in the beer garden. In the winter, i like to cozy on inside or reserve an igloo! Each igloo is themed and holds up 6 to 8 people. The igloos are my favorite experience. It is a private room for you and your friends. My favorite place for apps and drinks at sunset! Dockside has one of the best views in the area. And everything is fairly affordable. There's a huuuge variety on the menu so you'll always have to come back to try something new. I always reserve a table using OpenTable and I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes to sit, even during busy hours. I prefer the lower deck picnic tables on a nice night if I'm eating. The crew here was very friendly and helpful. When my friend needed a beer recommendation she was quick with a suggestion that was exactly what she would like! Very knowledgeable! My only complaint is I wish that, being a large group, that we had been asked if we wanted checks together or separate. It would have saved issues for everyone!
