First time here. I am SO particular when it comes to my brows but I had a last minute outing and needed them cleaned up. Found this place from Yelp as I was looking for "threading". I am in the process of growing them in and was nervous to try a new place but I saw good reviews and it was a 10 minute drive so I figured to give it a shot. I am happy I made an appointment. I was a few minutes early and there were a few people waiting but right when my time came up I was able to get seated. (If you are in a rush or don't like to wait like me I suggest making an appointment as it gets busy) The receptionist was very nice and I had Emma for my brows. I told her what I wanted and she listened and did a great job. I am very happy and will definitely be back for the price and convenience of being 10 minutes away from my home. It is street parking so give yourself time to find a spot. read more

Eyebrow tech Amrit is amazing but the service is HORRIBLE! They require appointments but when you show up on time you have to wait in your car. The receptionist was super nonchalant about it she was quick to send me away when there was like 5 other people waiting. Why require appointments if you won't even honor them on time and they never answer the phone so getting in touch with them is impossible. If it wasn't for Amrit this place would get zero stars. read more

I had to come back and do an updated review. My lashes that were done previously were falling off faster than usual so I had messaged Tamika with concerns and she got back to me very quickly! She listened to my concerns and even asked questions to have a better idea of what the problem is. She was able to schedule me in at the time that was convenient for me. When I arrived she looked at my lashes and I thought she was just going to pop in some lashes here and there but no!! She went above and beyond and filled both eyes with new lashes. My lashes look absolutely beautiful! And she did all this without charging me! I was so surprised..I can see how much customer satisfaction is such a huge priority here and thats what makes this place great. Dockery's simply cannot be beat. I will take the drive down the traffic filled route 4 day or night to come and get my brows done here! I've been coming here for about a year. Ladies; the struggle is real to trust your brow people but these women are it right here! everyone is courteous, welcoming, and patient regardless to how busy they are! I had the worst experience ever here. I went for a lash perm and my eyelashes weeks later are completely ruined. I specifically told the owner that I did not want them curled back and they still are completely curled back and hitting my lids. After two plus weeks of castor oil plus washing them right away has not returned my lashes to an even half way normal place. They are over processed and fried. Do not go here. I not only waited to leave this review but I couldn't let anyone else have the experience here that I did. In response to your comment it actually doesn't help. My lashes are ruined and will be for a very long time and your blaming me does not make it better actually it's unprofessional. read more

Dockery's is great! I go there for my eyebrow threading, underarm and Brazilian waxes, all of which are done by Amrit. The prices can't be beat and I never have to make an appointment (I also don't go at the usual crazy times- weekends and evenings). The wait usually isn't too long and everyone is super nice. The salon is very clean and they do not double dip on the wax. The only thing that takes some getting used to is the front and back are only separated by a curtain, so when you're getting waxed, you may get nervous that another technician could accidentally come through (although it's never happened to me). Great thing is that they also have a separate private wax room upstairs if you prefer discretion. Give them a try. read more

I've been going there for a while and I always go to Heena and my appointment was on the first day they reopened but I got a text message the night before around 10 PM that heena was no longer working and out of desperation I still kept my appointment and went with whoever they recommend it. My biggest mistake was following that advice. The girl by the entrance ruined my eyebrows after quarantine and letting them grow. she didn't know what she was doing she was nervous it was just a mess. She started cutting my eyebrows in the beginning I've never had that happen before they always trim my eyebrows after. I will not be going back to this eyebrow place. I understand they are understaffed but don't just put anyone out there and allow the customers to be guinea pigs on new brow techs. My brows look like I cleaned them up myself. No shape. So I was looking for a place to go do my brows before a long weekend away. I had the courtesy to call and explain that I am 10min away (at 7:05pm) will I make it? And she said yes as long as you are here by 7:30. I took an uber and made it on time (7:17 to be precise) Only one woman working and 5 people sitting around. Weird setup When I told her I am the one who called to do threading she said sorry not today. I was like but you told me to come!! She said my boss maybe but no time, it is 7:20 already and so many girls waiting (that's what I got from her broken English). I got so frustrated thanked her and left. I paid extra money on uber to not even get my job done. So disappointing. Of course I will never go back and I even wonder if this place is worth the discomfort, even if you book an appointment apparently. Clean, well decorated space. Staff very friendly. Tamika is so knowledgeable and takes her time to teach you how to best maintain your investments. She takes the time to listen and give you what you want, w/consideration for your lash health as well. Got my lashes done at a different joint by a tech and they started to fall off almost immediately. After just a week of having her lashes it looked like I hadn't had my lashes done in weeks. The ladies at Dockery's are extremely accommodating and did a fantastic job on fixing my lashes at a very reasonable price. They also did one of the best threading job on my eyebrows I've ever had. I recently went back and got my refill done by Rana who did an amazing job. With a very awesome awards system, this place is really taking a hold on the lashes and eyebrow market in this area. I've been going to this spot since they first opened and let me tell you, they are the best! When I first came here, I was coming from a different area and I did not like how the other people did my eyebrows. I decided to change my eyebrow place when I heard that there was going to be a store near me. I walked in the first day and Amrit did my eyebrows. When I tell you, I was in love with my eyebrows. I didn't even have to fill them in! Now I'm a regular customer and I'm not going anywhere. I recommend this place to everyone, family, friends. Really disappointed I have to even give this review, i really love to support a small black own business but the unprofessionalism and time management as others have mentioned in other reviews is true and terrible. I had two eyelash extension appointments and both were 45 minutes delay past my original appointment. I understand things happen that are out of our control but to not follow up with a customer apologizing for the wait or the fact that the customer had to leave because they could not wait is super unprofessional. What's the point of an appt?! People plan out their day based on the appt times they have set. No follow call/text or anything either time and I still attempted to go and support this business. I have been doing my eyebrows with Amrit at Dockery for about 1 year and it never disappoints. On Friday, I decided to give it a try and do my eyelash extensionS with Tamika since the reviews were very positive. I was skeptical because I had my lashes done before and the lashes did not last more than 3 days on( I had them done at a different place in Fort Lee) As soon as you walk in you are not just a customer, they make you feel at home. Tamika made sure I was comfortable, we talked about length, how I wanted them and we discussed the lashes that she was going to put on me. She knows what she is doing and with patience I ended up with amazing results. I'm posting this today 4 days after my appoiment because my lashes are still intact and only a few have fallen.( which is normal) and that is what I wanted to see. I recently made the move from Massachusetts to New Jersey a few weeks ago so finding a new brow place has been my number one goal. I was lucky enough to find the most amazing brow lady in MA 6 years ago & she's been my main lady ever since. However, I made the mistake of cheating on her back in October (I was living in California which left me no choice) & had my eyebrows butchered by someone else so I have been growing them out since then. After reading reviews, I made an appointment to see Amrit, but she was already with a customer when I got there & I was early so I ended up seeing Abida. I was a little nervous since most reviews mentioned Amrit. She only asked me if I wanted wax or threading, then she went to work. I was really nervous, but my eyebrows were a complete mess so I figured it wouldn't be too bad! I am so happy to report that I am really pleased with how they came out! She did a great job & I will definitely be back! I also went in to get my lashes done. I have been lashed by a few different people in NJ & other states & I can honestly say the customer service here was amazing. In fact, the best I have ever encountered. I really appreciate the fact that she took her time, asked me how I wanted them & then delivered exactly that. I can't even complain about how they turned out (they turned out amazing) because I would be silly for not voicing my concerns since she was so patience & willing to fix any I may have had. First and for-most, I did not demand to be served right away. I was willing to wait, but your staff said she is not taking any walk ins! and when you arrived, you said confirmed, no more walk ins. This is the third time I was refuse for that week. I asked nicely to consider as I have an party that evening, you repeatedly said you are not taking walk ins anymore. Take note not a single soul is inside waiting. I totally understand that your full, thats why I was asking nicely if you can take me since no one is here yet. and saying she needs to take a 15 minute break but after her break, you can not guarantee. Reasons means your not willing, regardless. Which means, you are not willing to accommodate. I guess thats how you treat your loyal customers anyway. In a not so nice attitude, rudely you said- make an appointment next time. " so I guess your not taking walk ins!" I am so happy I came here. One of the girls did an excellent job with my eyebrows. I had uneven round brows and she evened them out perfectly with a great arch. It was worth driving 20 minutes. Did my hair at a place nearby and I was walking to my car I saw Dockery's. Very clean, very cute setup. It was a Friday early afternoon and the place was not crowded, I waited about 5 minutes only. I am new to the area and was very nervous about trying a new place but they did a good job. A blonde girl threaded my brows and although I feel like they may be a little too thin, it may be because I've had to tweeze a couple of hairs here and there (since my original brow place is in NY). Found this place after desperately searching for good eyebrow salons in Bergen County. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. I read a ton of reviews and checked out their Instagram before going to Amrit for my eyebrows. She is wonderful! Very sweet and knowledgeable. All the Eyebrow Artist & Beauticians take their time to make sure you leave happy. This place totally understands when you say you want "just a clean up" on eyebrows and also understands when you are trying to keep the baby hairs and grow out your brows. Not many salons do, or take that into consideration.  Amrit also does wonderful facials!! Just had my second facial and my skin is glowing.
