This is the best place for waxing. I started coming here when I use to work at the hospital in the area. All of the ladies are so kind, wonderful & good at what they do. Now that I no longer work in the neighborhood, I still come here for waxing services...All the way from Yonkers. Since this place had a fair amount of positive reviews, I decided to give it a try. The owner is really welcoming and nice. Unfortunately, the woman that waxed me burned my skin. Initially, I told her that the wax was too hot and she waited a few minutes for it to cool down. She then proceeded after doing a patch test on her own skin, and the wax was a bit cooler. I don't know if she is an experienced waxer but she burned my skin. On top of everything she tried to overcharge me for waxing my back. To wax back is $20 and it is stated on the flyer, she was charging me $25. Once I showed her that thr flyer said otherwise she quickly said $20. I WILL NEVER BE BACK! read more

If I can give zero stars I would I'm literally traumatized at what an horrible experience I had. I grew my eyebrows completely for six months and I can't believe I walked into this place for the first time and this woman next to Sita who's name I heard someone call her threaded my eyebrows to threads literally leaving me with a pencil thin looking eyebrow. To make things worse, I like an idiot decided to add eye lashes to try to take away the focus on my eyebrows and she put so much glue like so much that by day two I got a bubble on my eyelid it was becoming infected. I immediately removed the eyelashes!!! Stay far away from this place there are so many more places this one isn't it! I wish I could get my money back! read more

I love this place! Upon recommendation by a friend of mine. I decided to check it out. I've been coming here for over a year now. They follow covid guidelines and there are never that many people in there at the same time. The staff is friendly and prices reasonable. They take care of you. They do great eyelash extensions mines usually lasts about 2-3 weeks I usually get the medium natural. I went there about a week ago and got a bikini wax as well as a henna tattoo on my outer thy. Tofa is amazing. I've been going to her since October of 2020. Tofa is so sweet and makes the time fly by virtually painless. I recently tried their CBD wax and I promise I'll never go back to another wax. Still hurts (but all waxes do!) but the result is amazing. I get my full body waxed as well as my eyelashes (I bring my own and Tofa applies). I 'cheated' on Tofa while I was away and I'll never make that mistake again! I have been going to a place that is close by, but since they started getting worse and worse I decided to give "The Thread Loft" a shot. First time it was okay, not the best by I was still satisfied. I went there for the second time and ever since I go there once or two times a month. The best threading salon in the Heights. Ladies are careful, pay attention to details (don't forget that I am a guy) and they thread my eyebrows quickly. I've been searching high and low for a one-stop-shop where I can get a flawless brazilian wax and a trustworthy eyebrow threading -- this is the place! I'm a native NYer but lived in LA for two years and it took me a full 8 months after moving back to NYC of touring different locations all over the city to find a place like this. Honestly, this was my last resort and I am SO GLAD it worked out! The staff is super attentive and they offer a wide variety of services -- I can't wait to try their facials next! It is always packed (which is a sign that they are tried and true) but they take appointments and honor the time slot, so feel free to call ahead if you plan on rushing in and out. I used a Groupon for my first sugar wax brazilian and decided to thread my brows and upper lip while there...their prices are unbelievably reasonable which is just the cherry on top because their service is phenomenal. I had the least painful wax of my life here. I got full legs on Groupon and then added brazilian and underarms. The anesthetist was so thorough, she pulled hard-to-get stray hairs out with a tweezer. The whole thing took about an hour and she even did my toes at no extra charge! They gave a me special on the brazilian, so the whole deal cost be $50, not including tip. This will definitely become my new spot for lunch break waxing. 10/10 recommend! read more

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. NEVER GO HERE. I went in for lower leg and underarm waxing. She left so much hair and kept saying she couldn't take it out. (Which has never been a problem at other wax places). Additionally, I had a punch card for a free waxing and no where on there does it say only for underarms. I have used the card for Brazilians dozens of times once I've completely filled it out. All it states is "free wax". They kept speaking in Hindi/Urdu about me when I fully understand the language. And to top it off she completely burned my underarms. I will never return here despite it being steps from my apartment. You're better off going to Jackson Heights. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE. Went for a Brazilian wax, I was left with a huge burn mark on my inner left thigh. When I returned to let them know what they did, I was met with attitude and no accountability. I showed them pictures and the burn mark in person. They were trying to say it's not them, it's just how my skin reacted to the wax. I've have been getting waxed for years, I've never had this happen. There's a big difference between a reaction & a burn. When I asked for a refund they said well I should pay for the wax and strips she used. The actual worst place I've ever gotten a wax in my life. I've been getting waxed for about 5+ years now and decided to give this place a try because it was nearby and I saw it on Groupon. My first visit was rushed because apparently the woman that was in charge of waxing at the time had to step out. After she gave me my brazilian wax, she missed spots and decided to go in and THREAD the parts that she missed. I was in pain for days. I decided to give them another shot a whole year later because I really wanted to try sugaring and I saw that they started offering it on Groupon. I heard great things about sugaring so I figured let me test it out, and maybe it'd be different than the waxing. I didn't think it could get any worse from my first experience but man, was I wrong. As soon as I got there I told the woman working that I had a Groupon for sugaring. She then proceeded to try and convince me to get a "zinc wax" because it was less painful and only $10 more. We went back and forth with her trying to convince me to get a zinc wax because sugaring was "too painful" and "not good" for several minutes. I told her that either way the zinc wax was $5 LESS on Groupon so why would I pay $10 more. She then told me "okay only $5 more" like girl WHAT?! Anyway, she finally agreed to do the sugaring after our back and forth ( I really wish I had left, I already traveled there though and decided to stay ‍). As she started my sugaring experience I noticed she went to use a strip. I did lots of research on sugaring before deciding to get one so I knew that you didn't need one and when I asked her she said "no, you're referring hard wax" and after I explained what I did my research on, she told me to google it again. So, I did, and showed her an article, image, and a short video. She responded with "no I'm telling you I've done waxing for years, that's hard wax". I'm almost positive she gave me a regular wax and tried to act like it was sugaring. She also did a poor job regardless. I would not recommend at all, not even in the slightest bit. read more

I'm not going to lie, it was a little painful + a little irritation because I have super thick hair, but I'm so happy with the results. Was looking for a new eyebrow and Brazilian wax spot since I moved to the city and this place just might be it! They do hard wax for only $35 and the lady was very gentle, it barely hurt at all. The only thing I will say is that the room was really small. But they even did a good job with my eyebrows too! I will definitely be going back. read more
