I was nearby so wanted to give this place a try. I had eyebrows threading and tint, eyelash extensions removal and application done. The ladies working here were nice and sweet. For lashes: she asked me to sit in the back for soaking my old lashes to remove them. It was uncomfortable as the chair didn't have a back to lean on and I had to sit there for 10 minutes with my eyes closed. Would've been nicer to sit in the recliner chair for this. I opted for the 3D lashes. They looked nice but the lashes fell so quickly. Within 12 hours, 4 clusters have fallen off. Another 4 clusters fell off within a day. So disappointing! For eyebrows: She shaped my brows thinner than what I wanted. She didn't ask me how I would like them shaped but I guess it's also my fault for assuming she would know I only needed a clean up. I did end up liking the shape/arch and tint color. Overall, I don't see myself coming back. read more

I came to this place sometime last year for the first time to get a Brazilian wax. It was my first time being waxed down there, so the woman assisting me was very informative on what to expect. The process took about half an hour and possibly would've been done sooner if I didn't take thirty second breaks any chance I got. I don't know why I didn't return sooner, I guess I couldn't handle the pain of wax. I came here to get my eyebrows threaded about two weeks ago. I was very particular on how I just wanted my brows clean, nothing extra. My expectations were fulfilled and I returned again and was still very impressed. I called on a Saturday morning asking if I could come in within the half hr for a leg wax and Rinku said sure. The salon is clean, Rinku is a doll and the leg wax that I received was above par. I'm not here to find a cheap one but I really love mink eyelashes. So when I came in, the lady asked me what I want and so I told her I want a refill of mink extensions. and she's ok with the in-doubt-face like "oh maybe this girl don't know what she want bec mink is expensive" face and she asked me again and she told exactly the price how much it is. In my mind, I was laughing bec I know how much that can be. Annnnnd yes, the refill is $50, and you know what's worst is? She let me sitting down doing it. Not covering me eyes doing it? Where, please correct me if I'm over reacting, she should cover my eyes for safety purposes. And you know how it hard its gonna be like burning your eyes with the glue and she just gave me a tissue. And telling me it's normal!!!??? Ma'am, I never experienced that to the salon that I used to go (It's just I really dont have a choice and I gave it a chance to try in here). I'm a regular wax-er at Hina - I've been visiting the salon for a couple of years & it definitely has improved. My go-to person is Rinku, she's super sweet and ah-mazinngg when it comes to ANY form of waxing. I can only go to her for a Brazilian - I'm so super picky (I'm sure most of us are). Rinku is always careful & gentle - sometimes I barely feel any discomfort when shes waxing & I'm always happy after every visit. If you're thinking about getting a Brazilian, Rinku is a MUST. They offer chocolate and white chocolate wax. I opt for the chocolate because it's better for my skin type. White chocolate is less painful but not a notable difference. She also suggested that I start waxing my legs because I have sensitive skin & it gets irritated when shaving. BEST ADVICE evaaa - after a couple months of also waxing my legs my skin is so vibrant and healthy! I've tried eyebrow threading before, I'm not a fan of it. But I do know Hina has a huge happy clientele base for their threading. It's best to make an appointment for peak hours, although it's not absolutely necessary. read more

I REALLY DO NOT like to write bad reviews about a business, but I just want to warn other girls that are thinking of coming here for a wax I came here about 3 weeks ago for a basic Brazilian wax. I had never been here before but I was in the area and I was really desperate. I have been getting Brazilians for years, and I usually do the hard wax method or the Sugaring method. But this time, I wanted to try the chocolate wax. I had heard a lot of good things about it and the reviews for Hina were amazing. So I decided to try it. My waxer was Rani. Rani was SUPER SWEET, very friendly, and very attentive. But the wax job itself was terrible. It's only been 3 weeks, and the hair is growing back LIKE CRAZY! Not to mention I have ingrown bumps everywhere. That has NEVER happened when I've gotten waxed. Usually the hair takes 2-3 months to grow back. And I never usually get ingrown hairs, if I do, it's one or two. Not like this. I did some research and learned that sometimes, shops will use a cheap soy concoction, that requires ALOT of strips, ALOT of time, and ALOT of patience. That's exactly what happened to me here. And to think i paid $40 for this awful wax job ($35 for the job + $5 tip) Had I known this would happen, I definitely wouldn't have tipped. Or even gone in. So will I be back? Probably not. I've been coming here for over a year and experienced inconsistent service. I stopped coming since they thinned out my eyebrows a few too many times. After not coming for MONTHS to grow them out, I gave them a try and once again they thinned out one eyebrow more than I would of preferred. I prefer fuller eyebrows but their solution is dying them and I know I can keep my eyebrows full and neat without dying them. Furthermore, since coming here a year ago the service has changed and I keep feeling rushed. I always have to point out stray hairs, which I forgot how annoying it is til today. Yesterday I found Hina on Yelp and decided to give them a chance for Brazilian. I went early in the morning and Rani was there. First impression of the place: Great. And I believe in first impression. Rani was very welcoming and kind, asking me few times if I felt comfortable. The most important- Place looks spotless, very, clean and good privacy. And I think they have the best prices in the neighborhood. Romni took her time and took gentle care with my eyebrows. I came in to get the following: *Eyebrow Threading *Manicure [***] *Pedicure [***] *Henna Hands. The eyebrow threading was what I wanted, no arch + an almost perfect cleanup. Romni understood my request and even offered advice on how to achieve a fuller brow since my brows are thin. Unfortunately the nail tech was not at the shop so I was left to go to 'My Nails' a block away however service at the other nail salon was exceptional as well. SO DISAPPOINTED! Customer service here was horrible. I specifically spoke to the tech regarding my threading preferences and what I expected (I was trying this place for the first time). She started threading my side and chin and midway in tells me she's gonna charge extra because I was threading my cheek and my side and my chin. I explained to her when i started what I meant by side (CHEEK!!!) and she said she had already done the sideburn and the chin so the cheek was extra. She wanted to wax my face before threading (DEFEATS THE WHOLE PURPOSE OF THREADING) because she said hairs were too little for her. This is not where I usually go to get my eyebrows done but yesterday I was in the area and thought to myself why not. The lady was very pleasant and welcoming. When she started working on my brows I noticed that she was applying too much pressure on my skin with the thread. I told her politely to please do not apply too much pressure or else I'll end up with cuts around my brow area. But I guess that was her personal technique and couldn't help it. The next morning I woke up with little cuts on my brow area. Smh... Never again! In these type of places the owners will put any inexperienced person to work at the booth just to make a quick buck.
