From the start, the staff were careless and unprofessional. During the service, they were rough around my eye area, clearly inattentive, and did not follow basic safety or hygiene practices. The application was sloppy and painful, and it became obvious they had no regard for eye safety. After the appointment, my eye area was visibly damaged and irritated, something that should never happen from a routine eyelash service. This was not a minor issue or simple discomfort. I came in on whim because I needed some eyebrow therapy. lol. I've been here once before maybe five years ago. lucky for me it was empty on a Monday the two employees were working on ppl and I was next. I got my eyebrows threaded in less then 5 minutes and I like it. For $6 it was worth it. A few months ago I went to benefit brow bar and paid $30 for crappie eyebrows. their customer service was better though but the work was trash. For $6 the quality was good but I hate that one the eyebrow lady would basically tap my forehead for me to hold my eye lid. why couldn't she just say that. read more

Sooo, I was on 125th Street looking for a good place to get my eyelashes done. From the outside it looks very sketchy because it is located on the second floor of an old building. When I got inside there were other people waiting to get their eyebrows/eyelashes done. While I was waiting I looked at the reviews on Yelp. For eyebrows this place has very good reviews, however for eyelashes I was reading many mixed reviews. While I got my eyelashes done I was told that I had to hold the fan. (Kinda Uncomfortable).. My lashes came out nice and for a good price. It was $16 for a full set of individual lashes. When I got home I realized that the glue/lashes used were very uncomfortable. The lashes were placed really close to my eyeball so every time I blinked it felt like the root of the lashes were scratching my eye. Also the glue used was clumpy, making the lashes even moreee uncomfortable. I got my lashes done yesterday 2/2 and I just removed them 2/3 because they were so uncomfortable. I used avocado oil to take them off and I lost a lot of my natural lashes doing so. Next time I will get a strip.. from somewhere else. read more

Ladies this place is the bomb!! I've been here soooo many times over the past couple of years I can't even count....They are all extremely nice and very good at what they do... I went here yesterday to get my lashes done because I haven't had them in a long time and I didn't want to pay an arm & a leg for them at winks or jj's...They charge $125 and up, when Cinderella on charges $16 for lashes...I must say I'm the kind of person who is skeptical about getting certain things done for cheap...I feel like sometimes you get what you pay for...But not here!! I'm so happy I gave this salon a try.... I have gotten my eyebrows done here as well and they thread beautifully...No complaints what so ever with this place.. So if you want professional, inexpensive service with a quality result then you should definitely come here!!! Normal place in Harlem that does threading, waxing, facials, and henna. The women here are Desi (Indian/Pakistani) and do a pretty good job. Eyebrows to thread are $6 (a dollar more than the fashion district), and upperlip is $5. Right now they have a mini facial special for $25 for 30 minutes. Not too bad. The ladies are also courteous! I've been here a few times and based on those experiences, I would've rated it maybe 3 stars. The average threading, waxing salon that doesn't do an amazing job but not so lousy either. Until my last experience... I went in for a Brazilian bikini wax and left WITHOUT SKIN down there!!! The waxer didn't even tell me or do anything to do the patch of skin that was raw, bloody and whiter than the rest of my skin, bc she had ripped it off!!! It hurt for several days after that while trying to heal and now, 2 weeks later, it's still red and raw. To add insult to injury, there were a lot of missed hairs!! The first time getting my eyebrows threaded AND fake lashes done, so this review is a two-for-one. Eyebrows- I asked them specifically to leave them thick; I just wanted a clean-up. This did not happen. However, while my eyebrows were thinner than I requested, they looked really good, so perhaps they knew better than me. P.S. threading is painful, FYI Eyelashes- Midway through getting threaded, the woman asked if I wanted to get my brows done. Since it was the day before my birthday, I decided to be adventurous. Bad idea. I chose Medium rather than Small, so I left there looking like a cross between Miss Piggy and Nicki Minaj. What's worse, I could barely keep my eyes open with the extra weight, and the top third of my vision was obstructed. After a few days, I was tired of looking like a cross-dresser, I decided to return to the salon to have the lashes removed. I was pointed to a chair in front of a mirror, and given Q-tips + a bottle with some type of acidic oil that burned my eyes upon (constant) contact and told to help myself. 90 minutes later, I finally had the lashes off. One day I couldn't make it downtown to my usual spot...but my eyebrows were keeping me from looking HOT, so I decided to give this spot a sh shot. The place is pretty big...almost seems to big for the "two" threading stations that's inside. It feels like they should have a couple of mani/ pedi stations...its weird. Anyway, The first time I went I got a really good threading. I was happy, but not as happy as I am at my regular spot. Second time was ok too, but aww hell to tha....third time (different threading lady) I was ready to hurt somebody!!! I already have thin eyebrows so I always make sure I say " Just clean it up, please". Why did this woman nearly erased all my damn eyebrows off my face? Needless to say I was an unhappy cookie. :-( I've learned my lesson though, so its cool. My lesson learned....Stick to who you know pleases you & don't be afraid to decline someone's offer of their services. This place was a little intimidating. It's right smack in the middle of W 125th St which is busy with traffic and people. Its on the 2nd floor of an odd old buidling. I almost missed it but thankfully the crack head sitting on the steps in front led me right to it. The place itself is shoddy but I have to say I was very pleased with my eyebrows. Wait time was decent, 5 minutes on a weekday at 4pm. The customers waiting were serious about their eyebrows and lashes. They also do eyelash extension here. Walked in without an appointment looking for a place to get my first Brazilian and this salon was amazing. The salon is right off of 116th near the subway and epitomizes everything that makes NYC and the heights great. You'll see a small sign and head up the stairs to the second floor. The service was fast and affordable. Baby powder, baby wipes, and some baby oil was provided to make sure that everything you need to have a great wax experience is there. They treated my pussy the way it deserves to be treated and took care of everything - front and back. My wax cost 25 dollars. If you spend more then 30 dollars you can get your eyebrows done for free. I also got my eyebrows threaded which was a nice extra service. Love love love this place for eyebrows. I sued to live in Harlem on 145th and St. Nich so it was very convenient, I still work in Harlem so I come here but not as often. I have only been here for eyebrows, all the girls that work here are good so I feel comfortable having anyone do them. They are pretty fast and affordable. I also have done my nails at the salon across the hall which is also apart of the business. The nail salon is also good, very sanitary as they put a plastic barrier between your feet and the tub before you get your feet done :). Not too many colors, but enought o not get bored. Again, verrrrry affordable :) It is easy to miss as Iw alked by it a few times so keep your eyes open. read more

Lisa @ the 125th st location placed lashes on my eyelashes and when I advised I wanted to do my brows she said she "TOLD" to do the brows first. I explained to her that I changed my eyes and she told me to dry for 15 minutes I got the 12$ set and didn't need to dry that long she told me that she didn't like my attitude and that there were other places that I can go. As if this roach infested place was the only place to do lashes. Save yourself the time ladies and find a place in "OUR" community that wants our money and do not pass their microaggressions off on you if you decide to get your eyebrows done after your lashes. read more

Think twice about this place - it is not well-appointed and quite unsanitary! Its location on Harlem's busiest thoroughfare is anything but relaxing. So, "Spa" is a far stretch. While the staff of mostly Indian women is moderately pleasant and do very average/below average work, their English is pretty poor. It gets worse if you risk going next door to the recently annexed Cinderella nail salon, which is staffed mostly by Mexican women. Communicating (beyond one word gestures) is difficult in both places - you almost feel like you have been transported to a third world country. Of course, there is one woman who happily plays translator for all, but even she is irritating because her English is also very limited. At Cinderalla lines are always long with packs of chattering young urban women, their girlfriends and loads of boisterous children. This against the backdrop of blaring Bollywood music videos is enough to give you a headache while you wait until your number is called. Avoid the bathroom at all costs - no escape there either! Frequently there is no toilet tissue, used and unused paper towels are strewn on the floor, and the toilet is unclean...it's mortifying. The last area to avoid at all costs is the Cinderella Nail salon - it is such a rip off! Lackluster service (unless you are getting hip hop nail extensions and designs) and unsanitary instruments are just the beginning. The selection of polishes are limited and thinners are used to the max. Manicures last less than 12 hours, as the polish begins chipping off within hours of your visit. When you bring this problem to management's attention, they garble nonsense about "no color" guarantee. So this is a problem they are well aware of and refuse to do anything about. Net/Net: AVOID Cinderella at all costs. It is an unsanitary, loud, clamaorous sham of a spa. There are much better options in Harlem at comparable costs. read more

A terrific little eyebrow place right next to the Apollo Theatre, it is cheap and they often have specials . The women are very friendly and pleasant and do a great job. The place has a nice Indian feel in decor , rather than those boring bland places that are springing up all over the city. They also do facials, I haven't tried one though, but the prices are great starting at $48 for a deep pore cleansing . Also henna tattoos, waxing and massage. I highly recommend this place. Brazilian Wax Review.... I went here for a brazilian wax and for me, a brazilian wax hurts more than any tattoo I've ever gotten! (just comparing so you know how painful it is for me!) and the woman who did my wax here did a FABULOUS job! I barely felt the pain...and she didnt miss a spot! This is my new place for eyebrow maintenance and pedicures. The main factor that is important to me (besides doing a good job) is it's degree of cleanliness. I can rest assure you that they autoclave every tool they use right away, use disposable liners in the pedicure tubs & they disinfect everything immediately after they are finished with your services. I know it's not the most glamorous place but the girls there are very nice, helpful & respectful and the prices can't be beat. I would definitely recommend this place! read more

Definitely a nice spot in Harlem. They definitely shape eyebrows to perfection but it also depends on who you get. Before leaving, I would definitely check to make sure they get all those little stray hairs. One time I left and found a bunch of them. *Review is a few years overdue* Even though they only charge like $5 or $6 for brows, my cousins had raved about this place for years, so I decided to go. I don't have luscious bushy eyebrows like they do; mine are a little more complex because they're sparse. So it takes someone who actually knows what they're doing to make them look good. I asked for a wax and the girl seemed uncomfortable, but she said she could wax. I was not satisfied with the results; I looked surprised a nice guy friend so happily told me moments later. When I went to pay, my brow waxer rung me up. I gave a ten the girl assumed that I was tipping her and held onto the change without asking! I told her to give me all of my money. I came to get my eyelashes done and they put so much glue that I had so much discomfort within the first night. It was so much pain that no hot shower or coconut oil would remove it. I tried 5 days to remove it and I had to get lash remover from a local store. Thank I got them off. I could have done a better job myself tbh. I ended up loosing lashes too. read more

I love this spot. Lisa and Ruby does a great job on my individuals lashes. I decided to give my lids a break so I decided to let Ruby do my strip lashes. I needed to put the strips on otherwise I'll be looking like a cancer patient. Ruby did a good job. They stayed on almost a week, but I took them off sooner than needed. So then I tried Freya(sp?) 3 days ago to do my strips because Ruby was out, but they were somewhat crooked and starting falling off because they weren't glued on securely on the ends. I'll have to go back again tomorrow to do my strips again and hopefully Ruby will be there. Other than that, these girls do lashes with their eyes closed. read more
