I came here for a chocolate Brazilian wax. The wax itself was pretty good and my waxer was pretty thorough. When it came time to pay, she accidentally activated another one of my vouchers and then just told me to call the company to return it. I come here forr eyebrow threading and always have a good experience. Even if there is a wait, it's not very long. They give you a card that gets stamped every time you come. I imagine if you visit 10 times, you'll get a discount or a free threading. The ladies are always pleasant even though English is limited. read more

Asked for 2 different legnths to achieve a certain look and natural, before she started. An hour later I saw eyelashes that looked so fake and caterpillars on my eyes. I expressed my dismay and she said oh we don't do what you wanted for groupons. Now I had expressly asked for something before she started, why wasn't I told that. Now a week later my lashes are all falling out which I'm actually happy about because they looked horrible and they were all glued together both at my lash line ut also at the top of the lash...they were supposed to be individual lashes and they are and they're glued at the bottom and at the top this was the worst job I've ever had. Been coming to My Brows for the past 2 years since I moved to NYC and I've always had the best experience. I usually get a full body wax, eyebrows threaded, and sometimes a Tint for my eyebrows. All the ladies are nice and have fixed my brows - always giving me my perfect "arch". As far as the body wax, I had never gotten one before moving to NYC, but Usha (the owner) explained to me the different types of waxes they have and knows her stuff. I received a wax from Nikko today. She was very sweet and since I told her it was my first time, she was very consistent in asking me if I was okay throughout the process. The wax is applied with a rolling machine which kind of made me uneasy; I don't know how often that is practiced in waxing businesses/by esthetician's but you can do with that as you will. The place itself seemed pretty clean, not extravagantly clean but enough to not make you run away. Overall, I think I will try one (or a few) other places before coming back. I used a Groupon and they charge a $2 tax for using it. It's also my first time using Groupon so I don't know how often that is practiced. read more

I went to 159 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016 Place was dirty was run down. Also, It had very poor light. Lacking essential products like paper to cover the table and product to remove left over wax. The ceiling had mold and the floor was stick and dirty. The wall were also dirty. Do not go to thus merchant!!! I bougt a groupon coupon for this business and I called and made an appointment, I told the woman I had a groupon coupon. When I arrived to the appointment she said to me "Groupon coupon holder pay $5 tax" What a hell!!! Since when a merchant can create a tax to their leisure? That is illegal. Why didn't she told me that when I called for the appointment? Because they are crooks. They know that most of us, once we're there, we will get the job done. The job that is less than mediocre. Groupon should not do business with this merchant and if they have the nerve to say that, who knows how many other lies and cheating goes on there. Groupon should have all merchants to specify details like that so we the customers can make our own decision. Is not the $5, is the lawbreaker that should be punish. I went here for a leg wax, found a Groupon for this place. I go, my service was fine. I found a patch of hair when I got home after the service so that was annoying but I just tweezed it off. What really left a bad taste in my mouth was the fact that the lady who did my service hounded me for a tip. After showing her my Groupon after she waxed me, she told me I still had to pay a $2 dollar tax which wasn't included in the Groupon. No problem, gave her the last $2 bucks in cash I had but didn't have anymore so I wanted to tip her using my credit card. She said card has a $10 dollar minimum. I asked her if she had Zelle, she didn't. She said I could send it through Venmo. Okay so I download Venmo app and it's taking a while due to bad reception in the area, every minute the lady keeps asking me "did it go through?" Bitch wait, be patient. So after a few minutes I asked her if she can give me the wifi credentials so it can download faster. She gives me it but makes me feel like it's a huge inconvenience. I send her a $5 dollar tip which is 33% since my Groupon was $15 bucks. She wouldn't let me go until she saw it come through on her end, I felt like I was being held hostage just for a fucking tip.
