Went for $8 threading and $10 brow tint. It was fast and good enough. Not perfectly even and thinner than what I wanted but hey it's the Bronx and I was happy enough. The one thing is that the brow tint is darker on the brow that she started with - meaning that brow had dye on it for 2 min or so longer but they were wiped off at the same time so one ended up being darker because they were sitting for longer. I might skip the tint next time because it didn't last as long as I wanted. But would definitely go back for threading. She was nice and fast. read more

This was the first time threading my eyebrows and I was more than pleased. I always wax and tint my eyebrows but the wax causes irritation so I decided to try threading and as of today I will NEVER wax my eyebrows again. The process was minimal pain-less than waxing and the lady who did my eyebrows did a great job and took her time. She gave my eyebrows a great shape and with the tint they came out amazing. Now normally I get my brows waxed at a nail salon, which is usually a hit or a miss at times. However, my sister in law suggested I try getting them threaded and a tint. I've heard about threading but never wanted to try it. Until now. It is less painful than waxing and my brows look so neat. Then she suggested the tinting. And I am hooked! I came because the Yelp reviews were good. I was previously going to do my eyebrows at a location where they charged $17... just to wax them. I'd also get seen SUPER LATE after my appt and the lady was rude so I thought I needed a change! I wasn't disappointed. Super cheap ($6), and my brows look nice. Been here twice and I like it this far. I've never had to wait. I get my eyebrows and lashes done. Ladies are friendly and they do a pretty good job with both my eyebrow and lashes. I explain what I want and it was executed. Very hard for me to find someone or a place that is consistent with doing good brows. So I'm pretty pleased thus far. There prices are comparable to others and usually I find parking when i go. I recommend them and will continue to go. They offer many services including Brazilian wax, have yet to try that. read more

I was here yesterday at Sunny threading. I live around the area and needed an emergency BRAZILIAN WAX after 2 months. I understand that after waiting the norm time which every month IT WILL HURT. But that doesn't take away from the SERVICE being UNPLEASANT, which it was. First of all I am not a reviews kind of gal but I had too, so everyone can be aware that maybe she is the best at threading which I would never know because I'm not coming back, but for sure AWFUL at BRAZILIAN WAX. She didn't have the wax heated prior to me coming in the room, mind you I had to wait approximately 7 minutes before going in the room because she was busy. If the wax doesn't feel hot enough for the skin it's going to be more painful and a layer of the skin will come off. I was swollen, cut in multiple places and she left me hair all over with wax even in my feet and I pushed away her hand at once because there was wax dripping all over. At the end she asked for her tip instead of letting me decide if I was going to give her any which she didn't deserve. MAY GOD HELP ME BUT I WILL NEVER STEP A FOOT IN THIS PLACE AGAIN. read more

Really bad I do not recommend. I came to remove my lashes that I had got done in here and the lady did a bad job, I had these lashes for about 3 weeks now. She started adding vaseline, cheap baby oil to my lashes and started pulling them. I was in a lot of pain. I won't be coming here again. read more

First off, the atmosphere is soothing and beautiful. I was swiftly seated and attended to upon arrival. I love the way they do my eyebrows, not a single hair missed plus its not overdone. The ladies working there are very polite and very attentive to your wants. My mother has been getting facials at this place for the longest and she'll keep going back. I'm the most pickiest person ever when it comes to my eyebrows. I've been coming here for 7yrs now and I can honestly say that this is the best threading place ever. I only do my eyebrows here and never have a complaint when I leave. When I first started going here I only did my eyebrows with Aiza, but she left on maternity leave and never came back. I was so disappointed and even stopped doing my eyebrows for 6 months because I didn't feel comfortable with anyone else. I went back on Monday to get my brows threaded after a month's worth of growth and the young woman who did my brows, I didn't catch her name, but she's a hijabi, did an even better job than the first woman who did my brows. I told her to neaten it up and she did. I could tell she takes pride in her work because she sharpened up areas that others would leave. I love this place. I never had an issue with them doing my eyebrows. I did have an issue today with their reward program. After 9 visits your 10th visits is free. Well going there as much as I have I haven't always used the same business card to track my visits. Today I came with 3 cards which totaled more than 10 visits and for some reason she couldn't consolidate and honor my free visit. Without giving me a clear explanation. My eyebrows came out okay, but my eyelashes do not look good at all. I just left the salon and they have already started hanging down. The extensions are not flush with my natural lashes. Some lashes were placed above my natural lashes so my lashes look crooked when I look into the mirror. I went back ten minutes later and was told that there was nothing that could be done to fix them. I was told that she would fix them next time I come in. I am leaving for a trip tomorrow and now have to deal with these lashes. I will not be returning for eyelash extensions in the future. read more

My review is going to be a little long, but if you're considering services beyond eyebrow threading including body waxing and facial, I will share my experience. I am rating Sunny Eyebrow Threading 4 stars based on the fact that their eyebrow and facial waxing/threading is outstanding! Now I moved to the Bronx last summer and needed to find me a good 'eyebrow lady' after I wasn't satisfied with my eyebrows at a nearby location called "Sister's Eyebrow Threading". I was recommended by a family member to try out Sunny's to do my eyebrows. Aiza was the first lady here that did my eyebrows. She was so quick, thorough and gentle! I never wanted anyone else to do my eyebrows, but one day I came and she wasn't there.. so I was forced to let someone else do them. After reading reviews on here, it seemed like no matter who I got they would be good. I don't remember the names of all the girls that work here but I did let me guard down and I just let whoever is available do it and wow! The reviews are true, they are all good! I do wax my upper lip every time as well and they use chocolate wax which smells great and is gentle. I think the price for both upper lip waxing and eyebrow is reasonable. I recently had a leg waxing done by Lekha, who also did my eyebrows first time. I was happy with my eyebrows and she perfected them. The leg waxing...not so much. If I'm going to pay $40 to wax my legs then I'll expect not to have to go home and shave patches of hair after. Now I'm a fair person, and it was only her working and another girl and they had a line up of customers waiting for services. But at the end of the day, I paid $40 for 15 mins of time and didn't get the proper service paid for. Aside from that, the wax at one point was not warm enough and dragged on my skin causing bruises. I did tip her $5 anyway because I didn't know at the time she missed so many areas until I came home and was taking a shower (I'm sure it happened to all of us). I would give it another try for leg waxing but I think customers should receive the time and attention to detail no matter how many other customers are waiting. Just my two cents. Today I had a Hydra Medic facial done by the owner Sheuly. I called around 1pm and she accommodated me same day which was great. However, upon arrival another customer was waiting for a facial same time as me as there was some misunderstanding. This didn't bother me as I know communication issues happen. The owner was able to figure out a solution and I was escorted to the room after waiting 15 mins to begin my facial. Side note: I've been to tons of high end spas for facials because I do like the experience that comes with it(showers, pool, hot tub, quietness, etc). Going to these spas for a facial also costs $120 and upwards. So I came here with little to no expectations based on price, location and atmosphere. I wasn't expecting a fancy, luxurious treatment but what I got was way below any expectations at all. Now while the facial itself and the techniques used were ok, there were many things that would keep me from coming back for a facial. A facial isn't just applying products and wiping it off (with paper towel too.. at no point were any actual towels used on my face) but it is a service after all and should have a few basic things to ensure a pleasant experience. I was hoping to feel a little relaxed to some degree but sadly was not. Do not expect any extras such as a hand, arm, neck or scalp massage which is usually offered during the time you spend steaming or the 15 mins your mask has to work in because the owner is in high demand and has other customers she tends to outside. The room door was open almost the entire time, the tv was on the news channel which was annoying as it was kind of loud, there was the buzzing sound every time a customer came in, not to mention the constant chattering between employees and customers. If you want relaxation then this is not the place for you. The fact that the place is tiny and the room is located right next to the front desk (you can hear every time they go to the cash register)The room wall is only halfway up which made the noise levels even worse. The bed was not comfortable to lie there for an hour and no blanket was offered but a towel to cover with if I was cold. The owner was also tending to other customers outside so was constantly in and out ( she never closed the door including when she was finished and left for me to change). I just quickly pulled on my top. I was never offered a drink of water afterwards. There should some level of standards even though I know it isn't a spa. Would I come back for a facial? I don't think so. It's not often I get to treat myself since I became a mom, so I'd rather pay a little bit more and go somewhere I can relax. Again, I am rating this place 4 stars because they're amazing for EYEBROWS!! Just wanted to share my other experiences. read more

I've gotten my eyebrows threaded as well as tinted amazing, I've gotten a Brazilian Wax done amazing, I've gotten my eyelashes done as well and everything is always on point. This is the best spot in the Bronx you will not be disappointed. The owner is always polite and willing to take care of all your needs as well as the ladies that work there.
