So this is my second time going here. The first time, a lady with glasses did my eyebrows, and I liked her--she was very sweet and helpful. The second time I went, a different lady did my eyebrows. While she was doing them, I kept flinching and moving because, you know, it's a natural response. She said in a passive-aggressive tone, "Can you relax, please?" but okay, whatever. When she finished and I was paying, I was looking at my eyebrows, and she said, "Oh, you should wax your upper lip." I was taken aback and kind of offended because I don't really have hair there like that. I said no. Honestly, I blame myself a little here because I could've just stuck with no, but I ended up saying yes. I asked her twice if $10 would cover it, and she said yes, so I agreed. When she finished, she walked away, so I left because I had already paid. As I was about to cross the street, she came running out of the store, stopped me, and said it was $13. I asked why she told me $10 would cover it, and she just repeated that it was $13. I probably should've just kept walking, but I tried to be nice and respectful, so I kept talking to her. I told her I only had an extra dollar and gave it to her. Then she asked if I could pay her another way, like come back and pay the rest. I felt like I was being taken advantage of because I'm young. I'm not going back to pay her because she lied about the price. If an adult had been with me, I honestly don't think she would've done that. read more

If I could give it 0 stars I would most definitely give it a negative -27. I asked for upper lip yesterday and she burned my skin, she went over the same spot about 10 times. Today I woke up and it looks like I have herpes on my upper lip. HORRIBLE !!! Will NEVER go back!!!!! read more

Maybe the bad reviews are from older management but I've been going for years and they always do me right ! I can't say much about other services they do but they're always nice to me and clean my brows so nicely :) A clean environment and they're quick with it too I did mine right before going to work and I still managed to get on my train early even hehe Overall can't go wrong with them, maybe I just keep getting lucky but they never fail to do my brows justice My brows in these pictures are all from this place :3 read more

This place is not good. It could be, heck it should be! They are located in a prime spot on Pelham Parkway and White Plains road, underneath the 2 train, but they continue to show terrible customer service and couldn't be bothered to do better. That's what sucks about writing this review; the owners don't realize the potential they're wasting. I've been there 3x to do upper lip threading. The first visit, the place was dirty, there was no greeting and 1 girl working as the threader while on the phone (with headphones) having a conversation. Rough, cheap thread was used and it irritated my face. I swore I wouldn't go back, but I had an event and didn't want to traverse into Manhattan to thread when this place is so, freaking, close to me. The second visit, the place was dirty again and there was only 1 employee working there on someone's hair. Rough, cheap thread was used and the girl took a chunk out of my face! No apology, zero sense of responsibility. Since I believe in a 3x you're out policy. I went again this past week on Saturday. I had confirmed the day before that they were open at 10 am. It was 10:30 am when I walked in and I was told, by a person already waiting in line, that the threading lady was coming over in 25mins. Since I wasn't willing to wait for subpar service, I ran out of there. I suggest you run the opposite way as well. read more

This isn't one of my top choice brow spots since I prefer a few places in Manhattan. But it's near my gym and when I'm in a time crunch I don't mind going here. It's clean and efficient but today I had the fun of dealing with a woman who didn't seem to have any tact. First she starts by telling me my hair is too curly (I'm natural - yet that doesn't effect the hair on my eyebrows so I was already side eyeing her). Then she continued by asking me "do you wash your hair". Now I'm getting annoyed but maintained my cool and said "yes". Literally a one word answer. She then went further by asking "do you shower every day"? At this point I look at her and say "are you SERIOUSLY asking me if I shower every day?" To which she sheepishly replied "oh I was just trying to make conversation" and promptly stopped talking. So apparently if you're a natural head, beware if you go here (although it's located in a part of the Bronx where there are PLENTY of naturals walking around) as apparently kinky coily hair is a foreign concept for the employees here and they will manage to insult you without even trying. I never seriously frequented this place before (only went once or twice in the past) but I won't be coming back. read more

This was disappointing. I was referred by someone who goes to their downtown location. I received quick and friendly service in a clean establishment. The bad part was that, after I explained what I wanted (thick as possible-sharp as possible) I got something else. The lady threaded my eyebrows waaayyyyy thinner than I ever get them. She then tells me that the end of my brows were that thin-no they weren't. She then suggests that I buy one of their eyebrow growth oil. My friend suggested that I bring a picture. I had been to this place in the past to my brows which I rarely do because I hardly have brows; and they came our fine. And this idiot messes up my eyebrows completely after I told her I wanted a little cleaning and shape at the ends. F**cks up my brows and then doesn't want to admit it. I do not recommend at all. This place does absolutely amazing brows. I get compliments on them every time. However, I would never ever ever recommend ANYBODY getting their eyelashes done here. The woman who did my lashes was very rude and aggressive with me while doing my lashes, she was using a high tone with me would huff and puff and make noises as if she was irritated that she was doing my lashes. I didn't understand it. When she finished I guess she wanted a tip so she went from being rude as hell to calling me baby. Let me just say that I usually get individual lashes which cost about $120 and I understand that these only cost $25 and I shouldn't expect the same results because you really do get what you pay for .... however I feel the way she did my lashes was just very very dangerous. Currently I still have them on its day 2 and I literally dying to take them off but due to work I haven't gotten to the beauty supply store to purchase remover. She used sooo much glue that when I close my eyes I can feel it, it is very hard and chunky and makes my eyes water when I close them too long. She also use MEDIUM length lashes for my inner most lashes and she used so many clusters it's just a mess and I cannot wait to take them off. They lashes are sticking a poking me I am so uncomfortable rn. read more

I told the young lady to please just clean up my eyebrows because I'm trying to grow them back and she try to arch them making them thinner. One year down the drain of growing my eyebrows. read more

This was the worst experience ever. The women in there are unprofessional. I ended up walking out with wax in my hair and my eyebrows are now uneven. The lady doing my eyebrows was very rough - I have small cuts on my eyelid. The other threader sitting in in chair was just smiling when she saw how upset I was. I will never go back and post my concerns every where I can. read more

Terrible place to do body waxing. I stopped in one evening to wax my arms and it was the worse experience ever. First of all the waxing room was dirty and plain. The wax she used was dry and insisted on applying it to my arm causing my skin to rub and burn. I told her she as rough and her reply was I had soft hair ? Whatttt??? I go there for my facials. I always use Shazia, who is really nice and takes the time to tell you what she's doing with your face and what she recommends. Worth every penny. (Also worth noting that its half the price of places in the city and very clean). read more
