If I could give this place no start I would. The women that did my eyebrows definitely doesn't have any experience and she's just messing up everybody's eyebrows. All I asked for was to clean my eyebrows (a little) because I was letting my eyebrows grow out completely. She literally did whatever she wanted and she even accidentally took a bing chunk of the front of my eyebrows. A day later, I can see that she didn't just cut me once, but over 5 times! I came to this place for eyelashes because my lash lady (at another business) was off and I'm traveling tomorrow on vacation. Needless to say I was desperate. Upon entering I see the younger girl at the counter and an older lady. The older lady seats me right away and I explain not once or twice, but FIVE times that I do lashes medium to long (at the ends, in a cat eye shape). I even showed her the lashes on the wall and motioned with my hands MEDIUM to LONG repetitively. Midway through the first eye I ask AGAIN "you're going to do long at the ends right?" to which she replies "yes yes" - lo and behold she does all of them medium. And the most crappy lash job I have ever seen. Seriously I'm angry right now with these things on my face at the moment. The lashes are all bunched up and done in a crappy manner. Seriously she must have "learned" how to do lashes in the basement of her home. She finishes one eye and I'm like "where are the long ones?!" - it was impossible to take off the ones at the end so I just told them to continue. I asked the younger girl to please take over and finish my other eye so I don't spazz out on the older lady. I wish I would have just gone to my regular lash lady. If there is a language barrier THEN ASK someone to help you understand - don't just do whatever you want to the customer. Terrible and I will never return. read more

I should've read the reviews before coming here but now I see that this is a horrid establishment. The lady was super aggressive with my eyebrow threading and to top it all off she burned me when waxing my lip area. Small burns from waxing happen all of the time but she clearly didn't cool off the wax enough before placing it on my lip. See pictures of the burn. The area is currently scabbing. Absolutely horrible!!!! I said natural eyelashes , the older lady gave me long clumpy lashes. There was glue on the side of my face. I spent half my vacation trying to get these horrible lashes off. The older should not be able to do lashes on ppl. I literally have 6 -7 lashes left on my eye lids. read more

If I could give this place one star I would. I went in and explained very detailed to the lady doing my brows what I wanted her to do, she nodded smiled and said ok. She proceeded to thread my right eyebrow, she let me see it and it was ok. Then she started to do the left, I felt her thread the spot I told her not to touch I remind her not to do anything to the area. When I get up and look at the area she basically took the whole spot I told her not to touch. When I began to express that I didn't want her to touch she goes "you want me to do more". I lost it!!! I was literally about to fight the eyebrow lady. The biggest problem I had with this experience is if i'm explaining to you what I want very detailed and you don't understand what I'm saying just tell me you don't understand don't nod and say okay when you have no idea what I'm saying. So they do eyelash extensions and of course i wasn't expecting the best quality. I paid $20 just for them to start falling off within three-four days. When i went back they charged me $10. These lashes lasted more but i did them with a different worker. Once these started coming off i decided to take the other ones off. The process to take them off took forever and they took my eyelashes with them. Now i barely have any lashes. I recommend to NEVER do you lashes with them. My coworker and i got them done around the same time and the same thing happened to her. read more

I'm really picky when it comes to my eyebrows and I prefer threading over waxing so finding a place that meets my standards is pretty hard. My eyebrows have always been thin and have grown them out for several years that now they are a decent thickness. I can actually go outside without filling them in. Anyways there aren't many threading places near me so when I passed by this place I had to try it out. I was going to this little hole in the wall that is cheaper and did a very good job on 149st and 3rd ave. But that's just too far. I have been to Perfect brows twice and I have had good experiences. I only go to the woman in the first chair.(Not saying the other women are not good, I'm just not taking that risk. I need to preserve all my eyebrow hair) She was very polite, experienced and patient. I usually do my eyebrows and upper lip and when she is done I do not see one stray hair at all. Some places like to be quick and leave some straggler hairs behind. I gave them 4 stars because the other place I went to charges $4 eyebrow/$3 upper lip and this place charges $7 eyebrow/$5 upper lip. read more

I stopped in this place seeking a threader near my house. I was beyond pleased! The tech I got worked very quickly which worried me BUT my eyebrows were great. She asked if I wanted a massage. THAT was amazing. She used the perfect amount of pressure and their lotion didn't make me break out which is a problem I had in the past. I will be returning and getting stamped! read more

The lady who helped me was apparently in a rush to go home. I asked her if they were still opened and they said yes. I have done waxing threading and even electrolysis before and this lady was so rough. I rarely walk out a place with my lip and eyebrows red and swollen. 2nd time coming to this spot to get a Henna tattoo done by Nerissa ( I believe that's her name, the young girl) and I Love it. She do a great job and is very polite and friendly. The boss was also there and he was just as polite. I will definitely recommend this place. read more

Came here on Sunday 8/11/13 because i had a last minute thing to go to and my usual place...about a mile downtown, was too far for such a short notice, i figured worth a shot since its in my neck of the 'hood. just wanted an eyebrow clean up and wax underarms. I hurried over, and yes! Empty! Two girls having light lunch. I sit down and the girl gets to work on my brows. Slow but steady...very slooooeew...naturally I though " uh oh" she's new to this!! Why am still sitting here!! Aaahhhh my eyebrows!!" But since I'm practicing patience..I calmly waited, and when she finished...I was pleasantly surprised. Not even my usual lady gets it this nice! Okay next: underarms. We go to the back, (pretty clean, good size waxing room) and she gets to work..again, SLOW-BUT! painless, thorough, and no threading afterward she did so good! Seriously I think she took like 15 min waxing, but I've never had such a clean job done. I'm very happy. So why three stars you might ask? Well, like I mentioned, slow. I was in a rush...not that it's her fault or anything but I don't know guess I'm used to something else. Also, I'm not sure because I couldn't tell but I THINK she double dipped the wax. BIG no no. She was very clean, gentle and all that good stuff but if I find out they double dip they're def losing a customer ..all in all I'm satisfied..might make this my new eyebrow place since its so convenient to home! I'm reviewing the perfect brows on 181st . I just want to start by saying I can't believe I just wasted my money. I went in this morning having passing here before and I asked if they did eyelash extensions (because on the signs I saw nothing about eyelash extensions - but know that most places as this establishment does them) the lady told me yes. I asked her how much it was and she said it was only $15 which I thought was a good deal because a coworker of mine gets hers done at a local place by where she lives in brooklyn for $25 and her lashes ALWAYS look amazing . She can go swimming in them etc and they normally last her 2 weeks or longer . I tell the woman I want to have them done (not sure of her name but she had a ponytail and glasses). I had on mascara and a "tiny bit" of face makeup when I went in so she says she has to take off my eye make up (the mascara ) I said ok- that was fine and she takes it off ... Repeatedly for about 10 mins.. Which 1. I thought was a long time to take off mascara and 2. She was using soap and water .. What type of establishment such as this doesn't carry eye makeup remover or something of the sort ... After she's done she proceeded to use what looked like a small paintbrush and (I'm guessing the glue) and put that onto my lashes .. She left that on for again another 10 mins .. And say in a chair beside me as well as made a phone call on her cell .. The whole time I'm thinking why is this taking so long after the 10 mins she wipes off whatever she put on harshly and it ALL got into my eyes my eyes were blood shot red and I was telling her my eyes were burning she kept telling me to open them and I told her I can't they are burning !! So she asks if I would like to go wash my eyes out in the bathroom and I tell her yes - because at this point my eyes are on fire .. She stands by me the whole time and when I'm done rinsing and pat off my eye .. She says .. Your done .. I'm thinking to myself when did you put in the lashes I felt nothing but glue that she put on .. Then I look in the mirror and when I tell you my eyelashes looked the EXACT SAME as when I walked in they looked the EXACT SAME . I don't write reviews at all but I warn you for this service DO NOT GO HERE !! I will not be returning at all and I honestly wish I would have gotten my money back !! It's really a shame !! I realize that by the name eyebrows is probably what's the specialty but don't offer a service if you're not aware of how to do it properly and staff is not educated enough on how to do the service !!! My coworkers eyelashes are long and pretty (which is the whole point behind eye lash extensions !) mine sadly look the same as at walk in. I went to perfect brows for the black head removal and the lady did a horrible job, she left most my black heads. Then when I asked if she could take out more she said no. After I went to pay she asked how much tip in shock because no one ever asked how much tip I would leave them I responded what. Then she said tip in Spanish. Never did I speak Spanish during my visit to perfect brows which I find completely disrespectful that she would feel the right to answer me like that. Pissed because the treatment I was getting I responded none and she walked away. But while I was there another young lady was there trying to fix the lash extensions she had got there the day before & another lady (employee) was sitting there telling the young lady it was her fault. Then all the workers there started arguing in their language and made the girl feel completely uncomfortable. I felt bad for her because it looked like it was her prom or some sort of event. I will never come back to perfect brows. I was one of the first customers but the service has changed for the worst. There was other ladies working before which were amazing now it's disgusting to see how they talk to customers. read more
