He was an elderly gentleman with no personality. When I went to pay, I asked the girl at the front desk, how much a tip to give to the two that did my hair, also the one that washed it. She stated 20% each for all three of them, it was a very expensive day, and was not worth it. She also stated they get more than 20%. I started with a Lip blush treatment with her after having had extremely pale/uneven toned lips for a long time. I had to wear lipstick daily. I LOVE my lips now. So much more defined/even toned and they're more pink. She walked me through the entire process, explained what she was doing and was so mindful of checking in with me the whole time. I can't wait for my touch up appointment! I was especially worried about my brows and how they would look. I really wanted something natural. We went with Powder brows. She picked the PERFECT color for my skin tone and the shape she did is incredible. Will let the picture speak for itself. Obsessed with them and I've been getting so many compliments! It has added symmetry to my face. Kristins attention to detail is soo helpful. I had the powder brow treatment and didn't find it at all painful. I felt very relaxed during the procedure due to Noel's calming demeanor and the serene atmosphere of her studio. Noel was very thorough in explaining what to expect during and after the process and how to care for my brows for the best possible outcome. I found the healing process to very quick and easy. I love having my brows "done " every morning without having to apply makeup. In fact, one friend told me I looked as if I had an eye lift. I'll take it!!! Every place I frequent isn't a business that honors them, but when surfing the list of businesses that do, I saw Serenity on the list. Before booking an appointment I called the business to confirm the cards were accepted - yay, they take them (both)! Or so she said. I booked a manicure appointment for mom and I. Day of arrival we parked on the street (at a meter), not knowing the business has a parking lot behind the building for customers (manicurist shared with us during appt). That might have been worth mentioning Ms. Receptionist. The space looks small from the outside but inside is very spacious but dated; the Manicure Room is cute, but could use some updates as well. The nail color selection is limited and flat (none of the new stuff). The manicurist were great - took their time and polished well. Upon check out I presented both cards, one for my mom to use and one for myself. The reception said they didn't take Spa Week, I told her when I called the receptionist said they did. Whatevs, but I know what I was told. On my second visit (2 weeks later), I booked a mani and pedi, but the manicurist I booked with was no longer employed there, so I was very surprised because I wasn't notified. The new girl was good too, so I was satisfied, but normally a call with the option to keep or cancel appointment is my practice. The business sends frequent email blasts that let you know about specials and pricing, which the prices have spiked, as of April. A regular manicure will now cost $30, color gel mani $55, basic pedi $55. These new prices will determine the frequency of my visits.

Parking is somewhat difficult but that's to be expected in this area. However, the brow tinting was low quality. The staff member who did it put the tint all over my skin, and didn't do the full length of one of my brows. This meant my brow looked unnaturally thick but also short, since the front of my brow was not tinted. Then, when the staff member was removing the tint from my brows, she got some on my brow bone. I asked her to clean it up, but she said it would fade on its own. It did not. It peeled my skin and took off a few layers. If the tinting was done JUST over my eyebrow hair, it probably would have looked great. It faded within 4-5 days so I didn't have to deal with it for long, but I was surprised that a $30 tinting service (which included the waxing) faded so quickly. I did tell them that the service was not up to standard/the pictures on their pages. They apologized but said there was nothing they could do. Again, the waxing and staff are great! but the tinting is definitely a no from me.

There was some tiny left on my skin that looked patchy, so I scrubbed them when I got home. It should fade but I just feel like they shouldn't have been tinted so dark. I got these done ahead of time for a vacation, and I'm really glad I didn't get them closer to leaving. If you have lighter hair, I wouldn't recommend getting your brows tinted here.
