Do not come here if you are in a hurry, it takes some time but it is one of the better meals we have ever had anywhere! So, so, so good!

Came here on vacation and saw this spot was highly recommended so booked a reservation for 8pm. The restaurant has a small storefront but there's a huge outdoor garden in the back for outdoor dining. Bring bug spray though if you're prone to mosquito bites! Overall, food here was solid and mostly tapas so definitely order a couple items to share to be full. The kitchen though does close early so make sure to order beforehand rather than wait if you're dining at a late hour. Appetizers: -Lechon Asado Buns: these buns were my favorite, meat topped with pineapple, pickled onions and some colorful peppers. I loved that this was so pretty but also slightly sweet and savory. Great combo of color, taste, and texture (with the bun outside, so soft and fluff) -Vaca Frita Tostones: these were savory mini potato pancake like pieces topped with meat, sauce and peppers. Again, super colorful but they were not as flavorful. Ok. -Chorizo Croquettes: Really liked how crispy and fun these little croquettes were for a finger fruit. Recommend this, fun bites of flavor. Mains: -Shrimp Mac & Cheese: this mac and cheese was AMAZING. Loved the noodles, super spirals. It was cheesy but also nicely toasted on the top so there's some crunch. Really good. -Shrimp Enchilado: Good staple food to fill up on, plantains and some side salad with plenty of shrimp. Comes with rice. Overall, enjoyed the experience here. The bill was a little high compared to the rest of Miami cost of living but it was a nice dinner spot with the food generally being pretty yum. Since it was tapas, recommend ordering 5-6 dishes if you're going as a party of two (which is what we did). read more

Yelp did not steer us wrong - we were not the hungriest, but I was thirsting for a mixed drink, and I had heard they make a mighty mojito, which I can now confirm. We chose to sit outside, since Florida always cranks up the AC. The courtyard outside was beautiful and I felt like I was in someone's chic backyard bbq. We went with the cubano sandwich (not on the menu, but ask for it! so so good!) and the prime rib burger. I generally don't like cuban sandwiches, but this one was so so much better than any I've ever had. The secret was probably the delicious sauce, and the fact that the ham/meat inside was lightly pan-fried ahead of time to give it that extra crunch. As for the burger, I was really upset at myself for not leaving room in my belly for more of it, but it was definitely something else. 100% would recommend Doce Provisions if you want to grab a nice bite in Little Habana. read more

In town for a ballgame and a friend recommended Doce Provisions. I wish I lived closer bc everything was amazing. Our server was helpful and friendly, and the food was delicious. We started with the Chorizo croquettes and the lechon buns. Both were incredible and so full of flavor. For dinner, the 4 of us had the Ropa Vieja topped with a fried egg, the Parilla Mixta, the Masa de Puerco Chino topped with a fried egg, and the Arroz Imperial. And a side of Tostones. Everything was amazing. The Masa de puerca was a standout. Looking at these reviews convinced me to order it and I'm glad I did. Our mojitos were also delicious. Best we've had on the trip. We were way too stuffed for dessert but came back after the game for a Tres Leches to go! read more

Well, so as usual everywhere I go I always have to try some restaurants that triple D Guy Fieri goes to. The place is small inside but also has seating in the back outside. Employees were very nice. So we ordered the Lechon Asada Buns, Birria tacos, the brussels sprouts, and the goat cheese Croquettes. All the dishes were cooked perfect, great flavor, and very fulling for two people. The Red and Whute Sangria was perfect for our meal. We didn't have reservations but we got there early so I would recommend making a reservation. If I lived here I'd be here once a week. read more

Cool little cafe serving creative food with a Latin flair. Doce Provisions is located a little off the beaten path (at least for me), in Little Havana, close to Calle Oche. The place looks bright, shiny, and new compared to some of the older more traditional establishments nearby. Metered parking is available on the street nearby. The inside has a "Wynwood" vibe with faux distressed wood and bright art. There are only about a dozen small tables inside. I believe there is a courtyard where one can dine outside but it was closed when we were there due to rain. The dinner menu is fairly small with a dozen starters, eight mains, four sides, and four desserts. There are also a few specials everyday. I found the starters to be more interesting than the mains. These are the items we ordered: Chorizo Croquettes-I am not a huge croquette fan, but these award winning ones were good. Crispy Brussels- tons of flavor, almost a little too much soy for me. Lobster Bun - a special, big chunks of lightly tempura lobster in a fluffy bun. You can't get much better than this. Vaca Frita Tostones - nice twist in a tostone. Churrasco - The boniato mash made this dish. Thai Street Noodles - My least favorite. The sauce was too sweet for me. Florida Mahi - I usually do but like Mahi but the Chimi sauce made this fish dish an excellent choice. - 15 year old ordered it but I would get this next time. Service was friendly and helpful. Prices were fair. Not a destination spot for me but definitely a place I would pop into if in the area again. read more

The short rib tacos tapas was unexpected in presentation and scrumptiousness, best ever. Nestled in Miami's Little Havana, Doce Provisions has a nice Latin American dishes that will cleanse your soul! Not too far from the Wynwood vibes, this place is sure to please. Pictured as a little well decorated whole in the wall from the outside, when you enter you will see beautiful modern decor with limited seating and a well decorated outside patio. You will soon realize why you need reservations for this place. We decided to eat here based on a recommendation from a coworker and boy were they right! For our entree's we went with the short rib Mac and cheese with the Little Bird Fried Chicken (chicken and waffle). Both dishes had great flavor, the portions were just right, and the menu items were well priced. Everything was delicious and we plan to visit again soon, trying a new dish of course. When we sat down for lunch we didn't realize we were sitting down for two hours. We walked in to an almost empty restaurant. Upon hearing about a patio we asked and were told it was full. I walked out and saw it was maybe half full so I asked again and the waitress kindly took us back there. We were with a 7 year old, so the incredibly long wait to just get menus should have been a clue to high tail it out of there. When they finally paid attention to us again it was to give two of us waters... promising to be right back with water for the kid. After the second long wait it should have been a louder sign to just walk out. Oh well, my loss. The menu was almost completely fried, and we weren't really looking for something too indulgent. Can't hold that against them, we could have checked. They had a "mixed grill" so that seemed fine. How do you want it cooked? Medium rare, great. After a little more than an hour the food started coming. What a letdown. The high point was the salad but... hard to muck that one up. Guac that the menu titles "The Guac" was completely bland. The shrimp tacos were left mostly uneaten. And that mixed grill was a complete waste. The "chorizo" was a burnt hot dog. And that steak? The steak they insisted on coming back to ask how to cook it? Burned to a crisp. A chewy hunk of grey leather. I mean... why bother even asking? Adding insult to injury it took about thirty minutes to just pay. If you ask for the check and are told "just a minute" you can leave if you're ignored for ten minutes, right? I'm not really one to walk out but this place really tested me. A few blocks away is block upon block of sidewalk tables and other restaurants. Give this place a miss. read more

Made reservations online for 1:30 PM on a Friday. Called to inform that our party would be running 30 min behind. Lady that answered was courteous and received instant text notification of new reservation time, 2:00 PM. Ambiance: both indoor and outdoor seating areas were clean and nicely decorated. We initially sat outdoors near a tree and tropical plants. It looked like a storm was coming. Our server moved us indoors as a precaution, should a torrential downpour occur. Service: Our server was nice and attentive. She cleared out our plates in a timely manner and replaced silverware as needed. She also gave us extra napkins ahead of time, knowing we would need them for our little messy eater. Food/Drinks: Passion Fruit Lemonade Iced Tea- custom ordered, lightly sweet, slightly tart, subtle passion fruit flavor, refreshing Blackberry Lemonade Iced Tea- custom ordered, sweet berry flavor overpowers the tea, also refreshing. Inspired another table to order this as they were intrigued by the deep purple hue. Passion Fruit Mojito- a little tart for my momma, but she finished it. Bacalao Croquettes- nice fluffy texture on the inside, crisp on the outside. One of the best Cuban Cod Fish Croquetas I've had in Miami, a highly elevated "Fish Stick". Ahi Tuna Tostones- love the different textures and flavors of this appetizer; fresh tasting minced fish topped with sour pickled onion, spicy aji amarillo aioli, and creamy avocado... all on a crispy, fried plantain. Fresh Florida Mahi Mahi- very unique flavors. Never would I have paired coconut cream and sour orange in a dish. Surprisingly it works with mahi mahi. Fish was tender and flaky. Couldn't taste mango though, perhaps it was overpowered by the coconut cream/sour orange combination. Wasn't a fan of the sweet plantains in this, it tasted like tostones instead of maduros. Arroz Imperial Cubano- the icing on this is not the queso fresco drizzled on top, but the crunchy rice bits on the bottom of the pan that has soaked up all the flavors and caramelized beautifully. If you're a fan of savory (chicken rice) and sweet (maduros-fried sweet plantain), definitely order this. Coconut Rum Tres Leches with torched meringue- best tres leches cake we had in Miami. Not soggy, perfectly balanced in sweetness. The torched meringue was like a cloud of marshmallow fluff with a prominent coconut rum flavor. Rating: 4.75 stars Most definitely would recommend to family and friends. Wanted to eat here again before our flight out. Unfortunately they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, so plan accordingly. read more

We went for dinner and it did not disappoint! Both our hostess and server were very friendly and attentive. We ordered the drinks, I had a rum punch- it had watermelon, passion fruit and guava- it was delicious! We ordered a bunch of appetizers and all were great! We had the ahi tuna tostones, the truffle fries, the chorizo croquettes, the vaca frita tacos, the shrimp po'boy tacos, and the Brussell sprouts with cauliflower and bacon. All of the food came out rather quickly and had great flavor! Next time we go, we'd love to be able to sit outside. I'd definitely recommend this place for lunch or dinner! read more

The highlight of the evening, however, was the young bird fried chicken. Wow! This is probably the best chicken and waffles in Miami. Tender, juicy chicken breast with mad flavor, perfectly cooked waffles, plantains and guava sauce. So good! The key lime pie dessert was also very flavorful. Prices are very reasonable. Today thanks to our daughter's research, we discovered a true gem in the streets of Little Havana - an amazing epicenter of Cuban-American and Latino culture. This hole in the wall restaurant looked very plain on the outside. We got there super late - 3 pm and found out the restaurant closes at 3:30 pm . Despite that we were welcomed by a truly hospitable hostess who took us to the back of the restaurant along a narrow path that opened up to a stunning patio offering outdoor dining like none other . Colorful murals adorned the walls, beautiful bougainvillea flowers were seen, lovely music gently played on, and the food was utterly delicious - not to mention Sebastian our waiter who treated us with so much hospitality and never rushed us. This place is a godsend. The quality of service, and the quality of food is great. You're welcomed and just treated as a person upon arrival. And the food... the food I locally sourced and fresh. Although the reservation/wait process for Doce was entirely a mess, the food was incredible and staff was absolutely killing it in stressful circumstances. The outdoor seating was perfect and cute, once we were finally seated after about an hour and a half wait (despite having a reservation). Drinks were fresh and refreshing in the hot afternoon, and we had the white sangria. Food came out pretty quick, all things considered, and it was credible. If you have the opportunity, you should absolutely sit on the patio out back. It's very spacious with tons of greenery and shade. It's located through an alleyway in the back of the restaurant, very speakeasy-esque. The food is truly authentic Cuban and so is the service hahahaha In a very Miami way, the service is on the slow roll. As in, they come when they feel and the food and drink may take a bit to arrive. They were out of the Cubano so I got the burger and unfortunately, award winning or not, it was mostly just cheese and meat. Like, those were LITERALLY the only things I tasted. BUT, the apps we got (smashed plantain something and chorizo something) were absolutely delicious. Like, WOAH, delicious. They serve a number of Cuban beers in a can and a berry sangria. We shared the Lechon Asado Buns, the Pescado Croquettes & the homemade natural fries, all plates were delicious & nicely presented. Washed it all down with homemade Raspberry Lemonade. A couple of days later we had take out. Went back for all of the above as well as an El Cubano sandwich to take home to mom. One of the best Cuban sandwiches around and, in Miami, that says plenty! Yesterday was a beautiful afternoon, so my wife & I went for a nice walk to Doce Provisions for lunch. We had decided on Doce because I had seen photos of the enclosed dining courtyard and we definitely wanted to eat outdoors. We were not disappointed as the courtyard is both large and lovely, with tables spaced out to ensure adequate separation in the age of Covid. The hostess escorted us to our table and then the waiter, Javier, came by and introduced himself and stated that he had just cleaned the table. A paper drink menu was already on the table when we sat down, but Javier explained that the food menu was virtual and we had to access that menu by scanning a symbol on the table with our phones. I'm not sure why one menu was paper & the other vitual, but be that as it may, we did as instructed. Unfortunately, my wife had left her phone at home so we had to hand my phone back and forth to peruse the menu. While we were deciding what to eat, I ordered a Veza Sur dark lager ($7) from the drink menu. Shortly after taking my drink order, Javier returned and advised me that the beer was not available and that the bar inventory was very low as the restaurant/bar had been slammed the previous (Sat.) evening. Javier wasn't sure what beers were still in stock, so I told him just to bring the darkest beer available. He returned with Floridian ($6), a hefeweizen brewed by Funky Buddha. It wasn't dark, but it went down just fine, especially after our 2 mile walk to get there! My wife was happy with tap water ($0.00) ;-) For lunch, my wife opted for the Charred Salmon ($20), while I ordered the Avocado Salad ($12) and a side order of french fries ($5). As a Vegan, my choices were extremely limited. Even so, I would not hesitate to return as the food was absolutely delicious! And the service from Javier was first class. Moreover, as mentioned previously, the outdoor shaded courtyard is a wonderful place to sit and enjoy a meal or even just a libation or two. This is traditional cuban with a gourmet flourish...which I guess you could say is not traditional, but whatever. Everything was great. Masas de cerdo/puerco were the best I have had in years. Maybe a little sweet, but very well cooked and flavorful. Their cuban sandwich came on nice sweet bread. It was all ham and no roasted pork, but still good. Everything you get here has lots of flavor and spice so if you're not good with spicy then ehhh drink lots of water. Food is more like 4 stars. Service was not the best. The best chicken and waffles I've ever had in my life! The chicken was so tender, not the usual dry, over fried chicken. The sriracha honey sauce with the combination of the sweet waffle was divine. The masa de puerco (pork chunks) chino bowl was exceptionally delicious (I took the waiter's recommendation & added vaca frita). The pineapple confit paired wonderfully with the other flavors.
