We had lunch here today. I enjoy this place. It is very Miamian. The service is good and quick. The ambiance is old school Miamian with the locals, mostly Cubans. There is an energy that you don't experience everywhere in downtown Miami. Plus the food is good too. I also wanted to add a unique photo of the Pipi rooms to my review. I had a good laugh over the name.

Had lunch while doing my civic duty! The chicken soup hit the spot. It was delicious and filling and service was great! Will be back for breakfast in a couple days!

Stopped in to get some breakfast. I ordered the Western Omelet, it came with fries. Their fries are so good! I also ordered a small lemonade which was fresh. They have a decent size menu for breakfast and separate for lunch, the ladies there are so welcoming. The inside of the restaurant is nice and clean with plenty of seating.

Breakfast review. Ambiance same as before very dated but I couldn't imagine it any other way. If you are staying on the downtown area it's worth the trip. Take the free People Mover train to Government Center and it's a 500' ft walk. It's with it. Breakfast was great eggs cook to order perfectly. The Cubano bread was warm tasty, almost addicting. The cafe con leche was smooth and not bittern. The chicken Deluxe is a good choice. And of course the service was friendly and fast. .

If you like authentic Cuban Cuisine, it is definitely For you. Cost if fair in toda's economy. Loved their fried fish and how can you go wrong, Nice salad and fried plantains. All my Cuban Cuisine aficionados should try it. Close to Miami downtown.

If your by the court house and hungry for some delicious food this should be your first choice. Good prices, lots of seating and super fast service. I recommend the "Vaca Frita" super good. with a side of rice and black beans you can't go wrong. The menu is huge and has lots of variety. They have daily specials.

I have absolutely no complaints at all. What a delicious meal with great service. I loved the very authentic nature of the location and it was the perfect spot after a pier day. Not too far away from Miami Beach. Had to find parking and walk a bit but it was all worth it!

I went back for lunch before flying out. The Cuban Sandwich was great, very authentic. Great price, under $10 and had a colado which is a slightly larger version of an espresso. Powerful, strong stuff. The waitress was great, attentive. Great place for cheap and authentic eats.

The staff is very friendly. The restaurant was opened during COVID-19. So I appreciate that a lot.

Ordered a mango smoothie ($3) and a Cuban sandwich ($6) during peak lunch rush. The ladies at the counter were polite, despite how busy they were filling orders from the restaurant, counter, AND the window. That being said, it did take a bit to microwave a pre-wrapped Cuban sandwich before pressing it. Smoothies are made from frozen, concentrated fruit slabs, a spoonful of sugar, a splash of milk, and ice. Altogether average, but conveniently located.

Great food served up quickly. Great prices. And if you're not so hungry, there's appetizers like empanadas, croquettes, papa relleno, pastellos. Also, drinks: coffee and soda. Nice service. If you're downtown and wanting a taste of Caribbean/Cuban scene, El Cacique's the place for you.

So I come here all the time just because it's really close to my office and they have really good specials. I have been coming here about 3 times a week for about two months now. I usually come for breakfast and sometimes for lunch. I usually get the breakfast special which is two eggs Cuban toast bacon and a colada for 5 dollars! You can't go wrong with that here in downtown. For their lunch menu I've had plenty of things like the pollo a la plancha which is grilled chicken. They usually have about 8 or 10 things as specials of the day and they are anywhere from 8 to 12 dollars. Sometimes the service is a little slow during lunch time simply because the place is packed. But overall it's a good place for a cheap lunch and breakfast here downtown

Five of us ordered: 5 Cafecitos 1 Pan con Lechon 3 Pan con Bistec 1 Coladita 1 Timba Came out to $107.45 including a $10 tip. We already had a memorable Cubano sandwich so we explored other options. The Lechon was by far the crowd favorite flavor wise, but it is heavier with the pork fat. The garlic sauce is a must to help cut through the richness. We left supremely happy with the salty and garlicky fat flavors lingering on our tastebuds, rejuvenated by a quick shot of velvety espresso, and capped off with the sweet guava and tangy queso crema shake (La Timba). This location is nestled in a food court style area, with a few restaurants offering sit down table service as well. And when I say offering, the sales tactics are reminiscent of timeshare sales zombies standing in an idle state until you mistakenly stop for a BEAT and then it's game on for them. Luckily at Sanguich, they have a few dedicated seats and tables for themselves and they'll come drop your order for you. A little bit of a scavenger hunt to find it, but well worth the adventure. The views out on the water are a bonus too.

Couldn't get enough of how good the bread was and everything just blended together so well. This location is amongst many, many restaurants but Sanguich still gets a line out the door. They do have a small patio in front of the storefront for you to enjoy the meals. The service was a bit slow, but totally understandable as they take their time crafting the sandwiches. We ordered the El Cubano [$14.99] which is their most basic sandwich. The taste was definitely not basic, though! Loved every juicy, crunchy bite of that sandwich. It's kind of shareable, but I could have easily scarfed down both if I was hungry enough. We also got the Boniato Fries [$5.25] which are sweet potato fries but better, and lighter. I think they use "white" sweet potato, according to Google. Whatever it is was good! Also tried their Croquettas [$4.50] which came w/2. Super tasty and satisfying! Everything we had was spot-on! Sanguich needs to be on everyone's "To-Do" list when visiting Miami.

We ordered a ton, and right off the bat: if you love croquetas and empanadas, order extra. They're on the smaller side and come individually, but they are so good they disappear fast. The beef empanadas were a 10/10 perfectly seasoned and crispy. The chicken empanadas didn't hit the same for me, but the jamón croquetas? Absolutely insane. A must. For appetizers, the prawns al ajillo were delicious super flavorful and cooked perfectly. We also tried the grilled octopus, which was good, but not my favorite. It leaned a bit bland for my taste, even with the sauce. Now, the must-get: the carnitas with pickled onions. Easily one of the best dishes of the night so flavorful, tender, and perfectly balanced. For entrées, we had the ribeye steak and arroz con pollo, plus sides of tostones and yuca. Everything here delivered. The steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned just right not overly salty. The arroz con pollo was phenomenal, the kind of dish you could eat every single day. The tostones were crispy and tossed in garlic, which took the flavor to another level, and the yuca was melt-in-your-mouth good. I also ordered a mojito, which unfortunately was very watered down, I barely got any of that classic mojito flavor. Service overall was solid, especially considering how loud the restaurant gets it was honestly hard to hear each other at the table, so shoutout to our server for keeping everything straight. The appetizers came out quickly, back-to-back, which we loved. The only downside was the wait for the entrées they took quite a while after we finished the apps, even though we ordered everything at once. Overall, amazing food, great energy, and definitely worth going just be prepared for a lively (and loud) atmosphere.

Regardless when we arrived they sat us outside which is exactly what we were hoping for. Our server was nice at first. Explained all the popular dishes got our drinks out very quickly. I think she stole our table from someone else because shortly after someone came and we told them we put our order in and he seemed a little bothered. Unfortunately, our other server disappeared and never checked up on us. We pretty much didn't have any napkins during our entire duration of our meal. At least that part was good. We started off with a couple of mojitos and their Vaca Frita Tostones. You get these homemade maduro tostones topped off with shreeded beef in a moon sauce, pickled onion, and aji Amarillo aioli. A very delicious dish that didn't last long. Shortly after we received our main dish. I really hate when they do that. My wife ordered their Abuelas Ropa Vieja and I ordered their Masa de Puerco Chino. My wife didn't really care for her dish much. We've had plenty of Ropa Vieja before and would have preferred a congri type of rice as opppsed to just plain white rice. My dish was 10/10. Like in the name of "chino" this is an Asian inspired dish with fried rice, maduros, pineapple confit and crispy pork. A very delicious dish. It could have don't without the little salad on top, but at least it ads color to the dish. The crispy pork tasted so amazing and the fried had so much flavor. Mix in some of the maduros and you get a sweet and savory dish. Would definitely be returning to try this dish again.

I would return for this salad alone! I ordered the Charred Salmon as my entree, and it was fantastic. The sweet potato purée paired with the slaw were complimenting sides to the dish. The hit of the table was the Mahi and Coconut Shrimp Cazuela. Lastly, the staff was phenomenal. We had a large party, but everything came out correctly and in a timely manner.

I decided to get the Cuban breakfast with a guava smoothie. The platter was a 5 out of 5 for me. I loved the pork belly, the eggs, the potatoes, and the salad! And the smoothie was refreshing, though I wish there was an option to mix the flavors. Do you know how good a mango guava smoothie would have been?! My girlfriend got the same thing that I did, but they completely forgot it. She didn't receive hers until 15 minutes later... And though it seems like a simple request, they would not honor her request to swap out the potatoes for toast. They offered a free dessert which was nice due to the error, but we agreed we've had way better tres leches cake, haha. That incident aside, the restaurant was very nice. I hear they have live salsa on some nights and I know It gets busy. I would love to check that out sometime!
