I recently had the pleasure of beginning my love for the game of golf at Dobson Ranch in early january. Embarking on a new hobby in a new environment with no prior experience was quite nerve wracking. Although, my experience has been amazing with the help of the amazing staff, particularly an employee named crew. Crew has always been very personable and is always demonstrating a cheerful attitude! He takes the time to connect with the customers, all the while performing exceptionally at his job. As a scratch golfer sometimes my sessions can be monotonous & mundane but one employee in particular always has a way with his "challenges" to break that up with his excitement & make my day just that much better when he comes around & his name is Crew. One of the slowest and most boring rounds of golf we've played in quite awhile. They start groups off every 8 minutes which guarantees backups along the way. We actually quit after 13 holes, a first for us, and we'd been out for 3 hours and 20 minutes. At that rate it would be dark when we finished. This is a flat track without much character. One long straight flat hole after another. With so many interesting courses around, can't imagine why people play here. All that said, the greens were in great shape and the staff was friendly and accommodating. read more

This establishment is the most pathetic excuse for a golf course I have ever seen. We booked multiple tee times over 2 weeks out. We got confirmation and showed up for a buddies bachelor party. We show up and the manager tells us that "there's no way we can get on today" due to a tournament. Meanwhile we have a confirmed tee time showing up on the screen at the front desk and they still tell us there is nothing they can do. This place is an absolute embarrassment to the game of golf. They were able to ruin a golf trip with ease. Stay far away from Dobson Ranch. read more

Will never golf here. Golf course needs to be upgraded and fencing around facility. My car has been hit 3 times with a broken windshield and i talked to management and they can care less. My grandson and I played Dobson Ranch on Friday, February 9th. We could not get on the range as it was so full. We had wanted to play 18 holes but could not finish due to darkness and the pace of play was 2 hours 50 minutes for the front nine. We could not finish because of darkness. Also, we found out that there was a bachelor party going on and we found multiple 5 somes playing. I called the clubhouse to see if they had a ranger and they said they weren't sure where he was. We never saw a ranger on the course. read more

Played for under $40, this is a good deal, course was in decent condition and we played in under 4 hours which is a bonus. Only complaint I had was paying $8 for a beer, that is an 800 percent mark-up, this is crazy. I get it don't drink the beer, I won't next time read more

Like others, I experienced very poor customer service at Dobson Ranch. I made a tee time by phone, but when i got to the course, they told me I didn't have a tee time. They blamed their answering service for not entering the reservation in their system. They said they were fully booked for the day and their was nothing they could do for us. When we asked how this could have happened, they said, "You know, you're not the first ones that have shown up here because you thought you had a tee time." Apparently this is something that happens all the time at Dobson Ranch. There are too many other courses to waste your time at Dobson Ranch, hoping they get your reservation right. You've been warned. read more

I've never played the course but I've been to the driving range many times. It's the only place I know of in the area with covered bays to protect you from the sun, which is especially helpful in the warmer summer months. There are plenty of targets to aim at to help dial in your distances. For an added cost, you can add top tracer to play a virtual round or choose from a variety of games similar to Top Golf but for a fraction of the cost. The only downside is that you can only hit off mats rather than grass, but the added amenities help make up for this. Be sure to get there early in the evenings if you can as the bays booked up pretty quickly. read more

This place used to be awesome. One of the few places reasonably priced for a bucket of balls and lights and GRASS. Ever since new ownership took over, they've made it like a party center like Top Golf. Priced out everyday players trying to practice and shutting the RANGE for events. I get making money but this is a carnival and the top tracer tech isn't even accurate for $37 a large bucket. What a complete joke. read more

Great place to get some range time in Crew took good care of us when we needed something

What a rad golf course! My husband and I came here last night to play in a putting competition and everyone was so friendly. Loved that the course looked a bit challenging, and how there are a few putting areas to play on that are lit at night. The female bartender that was there was incredibly nice, plus the beer is on the cheaper end, 4 beers for 20$ is a deal - and it's good beer! Would highly recommend checking this place out, I know my husband will want to come back to play the course. I had a blast putting and socializing with the group. They meet on Tuesdays and Thursday's to do a little putting competition and it's so fun to watch! read more

This was a pretty nice course that I played recently. The service was really awesome and the started was a really nice guy that provided some great suggestions about the course. It looks like they have a really cool driving range as well too that is lit at night so if your looking to get a range session in at night this is the place for you. Greens were very forgiving. If you struggle to hit fairways like I do then this is the course for you as well. Would definitely come back. read more

Found this place a while back trying to locate a place central with other friends and man was this a great find! They have made a ton of improvements over the past year. So let's highlight why it's a 5star for me. 1) Awesome pro shop and membership programs. They just started a Smasher program that has a ton of great benefits and then also a Dobson Card if you don't frequent golfing as much. 2) Cute clubhouse with a good selection at the bar and a tasty menu (my go to is the club while my friends love the burrito bowl). Also, the bar staff is so nice and friendly every time I walk in! 3) The course is kept up very well and a good mix of difficulty and chill holes where a wide range of skill level can enjoy the course (they also got brand new carts a week ago and DANG are they nice!) Lastly, 4) Driving range - lit so you can practice after sundown, good music playing in the background, and the top tracer is such a great system to really help you focus and practice your skills. Lastly, I can't express how awesome the staff is! Always the most helpful, knowledgeable, and great spirits! read more

Great upgraded location. The course was phenomenal. Prices fair. Energetic party atmosphere to bring out of towners to. Speakers for music on the carts. Food trucks with plenty of cold beverages. Only drawback was the course manager pushing us to go faster more than 4 times. As a disabled Veteran trying to enjoy our game, this seemed borderline harassment. Love Dobson ranch! Make sure you get the ranch card! It's saves you on bucket of balls,drinks and golf! They just recently renovated and it looks amazing! Love the bar/restaurant hang out with corn hole and pool and nice big TVs! The range is fun now with the ball tracer technology to get your shot dialed in. I think the only downside is the course itself gets a bit busy and can have a slow pace. read more

The staff are super nice and helpful. Especially Paul and Nicki! The course is always in good shape. The greens are not for the faint of heart. (they're heartless) But the "sand traps" have chunky, hard dirt in them. Not one grain of sand. With all the money they're making, they should buy some friggin' SAND! Just sayin'. read more

Great course! Started at 2 o'clock and only got through 9 holes. Had about 10 groups of people all walking backing up the whole course with nobody ahead of them. The only good time of year to play in Arizona and easily ruined by all the walkers. Pace of play is non existent. Wouldn't offer a rain check or anything of the sort. Definitely don't recommend unless you show up before 12 o'clock and have 6+ hrs to spend sitting in a cart doing nothing read more
