Salad with chicken
Tamara G.

We stopped here on a snowy Friday night before we went to a show at the Lamp Theatre. We split a large salad and it was a very big salad and they brought us separate plates so that we could share it. Our pizza we enjoyed very much as well as we were big fans of wood fire pizza, we even took two slices home with us. I believe this restaurant is BYOB. We just had soda and water. We would definitely return if we were in the area. It was crowded inside and within a half hour of us being seated people were waiting for tables. They were also busy with takeout orders. Parking is metered on the street. But we parked a couple blocks away for free and walked down.

Margarita Pizza

Second visit here, another pre-show dinner before seeing a act at The Lamp Theater. So convenient to park here and then take a leisurely stroll after dinner to the theater. Of course they don't take reservations so we were unsure if we'd get a table , but it was not problem. I think the majority of their business is take out judging by the steady stream of people through the door. To that end, there was only one waitress on duty for the whole restaurant, but she did take care of us very well. The pizza was delicious again and my husband thought it was the best Margarita he's had lately. He noted the crust had "leopard spots" (little burnt spots) which makes it especially tasty. It's really great that they only have two prices for small or large pizzas with out extra charges for toppings. The same goes for salads. One price and you can have asa many veggies as you want! We sat in the addition that night. Kind of a sparse industrial vibe, but it's a pizza shop! As long as they keep such reasonable prices, I don't care! I want to come back and have a sandwich next time!

Very disappointing pizza.

This pizza is beyond thin. Nothing like the pizza here last 5 years. Spoke with the manager. He said depends on who spins the dough. Very disappointed. No offer for replacement or refund.

Had the 1972 Pizza. Amazing. The dough is delicious. Flakey crust and thin but not too thin. Great balance. Found out that special dough is make locally with some special ingredients. The Andouille Sausage, fresh mushrooms and onions make this a really tasty treat topped with a nicely sharp cheese. Perhaps the best pizza I've had in all of Western Pa

We ordered takeout and spent a pretty penny here for 5 people. The people at the pickup counter…read morewere very nice but ultimately forgot a soup. The food was seriously nothing to come back for. I got the pasta Rosa, and it was seriously just pasta and sauce. Nothing else. Which would have been fine as a side but I was expecting it to be phenomenal in order for it to stand on its own as an entire dinner entree. My husband got the restaurants "favorite" - the pasta amato...he said it lacked flavor and the chicken wasn't seasoned at all. He did like the peas as an addition in the pasta though. Ugh and the tiramisu--gosh, I am so sick of restaurants thinking they're making tiramisu and they are not. Stop false advertising!!! It was a wetter vanilla cake with a hint of alcohol-- not worth it. Needless to say, We won't be coming back. I don't understand how this place has such high of a rating to be honest. It's like people in Westmoreland county have never had superb Italian food, meanwhile you could throw a rock and hit a pasta joint on any corner. I'm giving it a 2 because it was edible.

I really enjoy that the pasta is fresh and the menu isn't 40 pages long. It's straight to the point and you know what you're getting based on what is listed under the pasta shape. My short rib ricotta gnocchi was good but I do wish it had a bit more salt to bring more of the flavor to the front. The gnocchi texture was perfect and pillowy. The short rib mixed in nicely with all of the pasta and the sauce. My spouse enjoyed the cannelloni, which was pretty much their lasagna but also wanted a bit more salt. Our server was very nice and walked us through the menu options as well as told us about the seafood special for the night. The bread came out first and was delicious. The salad was also good and I don't usually like arugula. You could tell the ingredients were fresh and I enjoy that they take the time to do that. The space is very cute and you can't really miss it even with it being in an executive building. It's a smaller area but it can seat a good amount of people. We noticed they had a pasta making class so maybe next time we're in town, we can do it. The red sangria had a great balance where it wasn't too sweet. We didn't do dessert but we did enjoy the digestif at the end with limoncello and my spouse ate the amaretti cookies as I couldn't.

The pasta shapes are unlike anything else you'll find in Western PA. They even offer complimentary limoncello and Amaretti cookies to end your meal, which is a really nice touch. They have family style options for groups who want to try a variety of dishes, but the menu is just as fitting for a date night. Bonus: the leftovers taste just as good the next day! The space can get a bit loud with high ceilings and a full house, but the lively energy reflects how much people are enjoying the experience. Service was friendly and helpful with suggestions. The owner even stopped by tables to check on guests. It's tucked inside an industrial park and may be a little tricky to find if you're unfamiliar with the area, but GPS and signage get you there without much trouble. Definitely worth the visit!

Highly recommend the Fontana Peppers appetizer...I think that was the name. Sautéed peppers broiled with a light crust of cheese. Fantastic! House salad was the perfect size for me (loved the blue cheese dressing) and my husband enjoyed his bacon and turkey sandwich. I'm sad we don't live closer--the menu is extensive and I'd have loved to try more of it. Fancy and glitzy, it's not, but don't let that fool you--the food is fresh, there are healthy options, and portions are generous. Can't wait to pass through here on a future road trip.

Adding a steak to a salad was $8 and the steak was finely chopped to hide its quality. So a salad with steak cost me $20! Absolutely wrong! The salad is big in size but low on quality and variety. No cherry tomatoes, no onions, no peppers very few carrots. The ranch dressing was lacking in taste and very, very thin. The salad contains mostly pieces with the ribs through the center. Not the highest quality at all. Only one variety of lettuce. The menu is not very big and it lacks variety of choices and enhancements. I probably would not recommend this to a friend and probably won't return. It is still the same basic place It was 40 years ago. It will not give you warm and fuzzy feelings....it is a bar with a small side area. There's way too much competition in North Huntington to consider this a valid choice for the little it offers. Nothing here causes it to rise beyond average.
