I'll start with the one I chose for those who don't care to read the entire review. Eric, the owner of WHE called me promptly and asked me to text him images of my current water heater installation. After answering 2 follow up questions he gave me an all-inclusive quote, which was the best of the quotes I received. This all inside 30 minutes. We promptly scheduled, and Eric an Daniel arrived on-time. Even though the installation was more difficult than expected because the water heater drain was completely clogged with sediment, he stuck to the quote. In 2:15 hrs they were done, they hauled the old unit away and everything worked perfectly. They left the area clean and the performance of Water Heating Experts exceeded my expectations. Now the other companies. One did not return my weekday query for six hours. One took all info and pics, said they had everything and I had to call them back at 2 pm the next day as I had heard nothing. One arrived 2 1/2 hours late with a high quote. One ignored the water heater I requested and tried to upsell to a unit over double the price. The very fist of these quotes I got said they would price match other companies "even if they were 500-600 dollars less" (and what does that tell you!) . I called them Tuesday morning and spoke with Jennifer who said they could be here the next day (Wednesday) between 1 and 4PM. At 1:50PM Billy called and said that he was on his way and arrived about 10 or so minutes later. He inspected the toilet and said that the leak was coming from inside the toilet, coming through the toilet cover on top and then going down to the floor. (A better case scenario than I had feared.) He then replaced the fill valve and supply tube and finished about 40 minutes after he arrived. The total including tax came to $268. Considering how much plumbers cost, it seemed reasonable. I would definitely use them again. One thing to keep in mind. When I spoke with Jennifer to set up the appointment up, I asked how can I pay. She said they accept checks, credit card or cash. When I wanted to use a credit card to pay, Billy advised me that there is a 3.5% convenience fee charge to use my credit card. I then got my checkbook and payed by check so that I would not incur this 3.5% convenience fee. I was not aware of this prior when making the appointment.
