The person who answered the phone was cordial and informational. I was routed to someone named Mike. I'm just a dumb old snowbird who knows nothing about water line leaks. Mike gave me 3 minutes and then said abruptly "Listen, I have 10 more customer calls to make so I gotta go". After I picked myself off the floor the call was ended. I consider this type of treatment to be rude, anti-customer, abrasive, curt and totally objectionable. Unfortunately the response posted could not be further from the truth. I wanted a hose adapter attached to the drain line. However, the plumber flushed the drain line which I had already done. The "specialty" part was a $3.50 PVC adapter the is available at Home Depot, Lowe's and Amazon. Here are the emails. Mike I regret to say that I was totally disappointed yesterday with your plumber. I thought I made it clear I wanted to have an adapter installed so I could flush my AC drainpipe. What a complete waste of time and money. He did not have any parts or adaptors to do what I wanted. He tried to jury rig something but that was a complete failure as well. All he did was run some hot water through the line which I could have done myself. When he left there was NOTHING DONE. I paid $195 for NOTHING. My AC drain is exactly the way it was before he arrived. Regrettably, I will never use Papas plumbing nor will I recommend Papas to anyone. Mike, I was hoping that you would respond to my previous email about the poor job of installing the AC drain I wanted. I thought that for good customer service you would try to correct the situation. Unfortunately, that has not happened. I paid $195 for your plumber to do NOTHING! He was not prepared to perform the work I wanted done and had no interest in getting the parts that were needed. I am asking that you reach out so we can rectify this situation. If you do not, my only recourse would be to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and post a negative public review. Amazing business. I renovate 12 to 15 complete homes per year in the luxury category and have insanely high expectations. I was referred to Mike the owner by a longtime business relationship. He was able to provide a budget over the phone and meet a tight timeline. Chris came out to do the work and the results are amazing. Kitchen sink was stopped up due to the errors of two guys from Hammer Construction (DON'T EVER USE HAMMER CONSTRUCTION) who installed my sink wrong. We were told they were plumbers but they were not. Had an emergency with our water heater on a Sunday. Changing out the heat elements not as simple as home inspector suggested. Couldn't get a plumber to answer on Sunday and our new tenant was moving in on Thursday. On Monday, I called a plumber highly recommended to me and was told they weren't doing service anymore, only new construction but were sending their customers who needed service to another plumber - Papa's Plumbing. I called, Mike promised to have someone there on Tuesday in the early afternoon. Chris showed up and proceeded to fix the problem quickly and was good enough to explain exactly what he was doing and why the new heaters had different elements these days, etc. Can't say enough about Papa's and Chris. Zero stars: the amateur plumber that was sent to install a replacement water heater ignored or didn't see a sprinkler head above the water heater. As a result, we experienced a devastating flood that has costed us thousands of dollars and numerous sleepless nights. When my husband called the owner, Mike, to reimburse us for our deductible and additional charges from our management company, we never received a call back. I had a hot water heater installed 3 1/2 yrs ago from one of the highly rated businesses on Angie's list. It was a fortune to replace it but there wasn't time to shop around with a flood in the garage. I noticed water seeping from under the garage door the other day and I couldn't believe it could be the same problem. Turns out one of the flexible hoses was worn out and leaking. Well, it was Saturday night and you know that it's like paying for a brain surgeon to get someone out after hours. I was going to call the original installers back on Monday. I had also left a message with Papas plumbing. Monday morning at 7:30, I got a call from Papas plumbing and I took it as a sign and scheduled them for that day. Andrew was so professional and I trusted the installation would be better than the original. He replaced both cheap flexible hoses with copper and soldered them. He got rid of the water and cleaned the outside of the tank. The price was very reasonable. I will always use Papas plumbing and recommend them to everyone. As far as Angie's list, I really don't 100% trust what I read there. For me, word of mouth is the way to go. read more

I'll keep this simple, we had a water leak and had a plumbing contractor through American Home Shield come say out problem water a broken shower pan. looking at 15-20,000 to fix. Something didn't smell right because water kept dribbling into the garage. Called Papa's they said you don't have a pan. They referred me to a mitigation company, Entrusted, who have been excellent. Hired papa's for a second opinion and after a thorough exam, said : you don't have a shower pan. did numerous checks, cut away more wall and found a leak in pvc that the AHS contractor didn't bother to look for. Problem fixed...could not recommend these guys more, saved us a ton of money, grief, insurance grief...you name it. Highly recommend read more

I guess I have to learn the hard way. Papa's Plumbing installed a new kitchen faucet during a kitchen remolding about a year ago. We have spent in the thousands for other installs with them including new toilet, new bathroom shower faucets, new water heater and plumbing installs for new clothes washer, (which they reversed the lines between hot and cold.) The faucet just needed to be tightened from under the cabinet and it took Andrew 5 minutes. When I called Mike he did not mention a cost so when Andrew walked in he said Mike is going to charge us $100 and even after he checked with Mike he would not budge on the cost. I was not asking for a free visit but after all the jobs he did for us in the past should of meant something to Mike. We are in a very large condo association and I have recommended Papas to many tenants. Never again, his $100 charge to me was not a smart PR as a businessman as our association will be required to change 40 to 50 water heater in the next year. read more

Seriously the worst service I have ever experienced in any circumstance. I have a problem with my kitchen sink smelling and getting backed up. First the idiot on the phone interrupts me and simply says "hold on lady" and puts me on hold forever, then he picks back up and asks if I have called about this issue before, I told him no. I try to go on explaining the problem and get interrupted again with "Are you sure you're not the lady that called 3 times last month about this?" I tell him no again and try to continue. The final time I am interrupted he says "just put some pinesol in it" and hangs up as I try to tell him I have tried this before. I felt as if I was treated as an inferior to this man and will definitely never be calling again. I wish so badly I could give them zero stars. A friend recommended papa's plumbing and we got 5 star service from our initial phone call right to the first drop of hot water from the tap. We just purchased a condo and happen to see their truck on the property. I called Mike and as long as he was selling us a new toilet and water heater he was professional and thrilled we called Papas. After the toilet was installed our new seat cover slammed (new type goes down slowly), I called Mike 3 times and he never returned my call until I told him not to install the water heater until he called me back. He did and wow his attitude changed and was rude. After the water heater was installed I felt there was a problem in the line and asked his if it could involve the new water heater. Nearly a week has gone by, 3 calls to Mike and all we get is a recording, very unprofessional. The real professionals were Andrew that installed the toilet and cleaned up around the old toilet, even grouted a couple of tiles. I had a water heater install 1 1/2 years ago. It started to leak. Spoke with Mike on the phone and he would not come down. He said it is probably an A/C problem. He said to call the A/C man. I did, he came down and said it was a plumbing problem. Called back and again Mike said he would not come out and to call another plumber. Although I was polite he chose to hang up on me. I called another plumber to find out they had the temperature to high and it was leaking from the top. The new plumber adjusted it. Sad to say, I would never use Papas plumbing again. read more
