Called Marcum's twice to solve issues at our Florida home. Larry (owner) was easily accessible when we reached out to him Superbowl evening with a critical problem, guided us through how to deal with the problem and then sent Mike out the next day to help replace our water service which was leaking. We had Mike back again the next week to replace an outside water spout which could not be shut off properly. Very pleased with the service we received from them. read more

My husband called Marcum's and a few other local plumbers, based on Yelp reviews, to price a leaking garbage disposal, two faucets that needed to be replaced, and an old water heater that was on borrowed time. Marcum's was easy to get a hold of by phone and reliably returned calls. They had one of the lowest prices as well. Larry came out to replace our garbage disposal. We had to schedule the water heater for another date since the water had to be turned off. Mike then came and replaced our water heater and two faucets. Larry, the owner, was amazing. I found him on Yelp when my gas water heater stopped working. He went out of his way over the weekend to walk me through troubleshooting steps. Then came out as quickly as possible the next week. The first part that was replaced didn't fix it so we had to special order another part. Larry came out the next day to install it. We had developed a problem with our toilet tank which was running continuously. Opening the tank, I found that that old style float had snapped off and that caused the problem. I called and spoke to Larry and set up an appointment for 2 days later, however when I tried to shut the water off to the tank, the shut off valve started leaking as well. Faced with what became an emergency situation, I called Larry back and explained what had happened. He instructed me as to what to do and since this resulted in having no water available in our home, he rearranged his schedule to have someone come first thing next morning. Mike, the plumber assigned, showed up at our door on time the next morning as promised. He quickly assessed the situation and told us exactly what was needed to repair the problems. He was pleasant, knowledgeable, quick and neat. He had everything repaired in less than an hour and also fixed a leaky sink we had as well. It was quite refreshing to have this kind of service, which is growing increasingly hard to find. Thanks to Larry for setting everything up and accommodating us and special thanks to Mike for his work. There's a lot of plumbers out there but this company is above the rest! I called yesterday bc my mother had an unexplained leak on the side of her house. Larry was out there first thing in morning..as he promised, diagnosed the leak and repaired it immediately. He then discovered another source from where it was leaking and fixed that as well. His price was very fair and I didn't feel as tho he was taking advantage of the situation. Yesterday, I called Marcum's Plumbing to schedule an appointment to fix a problem with a leaky toilet. We've had problems with this toilet since we moved into our house in July. It's now December. We'd had a handyman replace the flapper 2x before, but he used an inferior product which continued to leak. And this affected our water bill. Mike, Marcum's plumber knew the difference and had the solution. This is the value of getting a professional instead of a handyman. Mike came the early part of the promised time, explained what was wrong and fixed the worn-out gasket on the toilet and replaced the flapper. Mike was pleasant, a hard worker and took care of us in no time! Plus the cost was pretty reasonable with no phony extra service call charges. We were so pleased with his service and Mike mentioned other more complex issues that he knows how to fix. There was a unpleasant smell in my master bath that would appear off and on. It smelled like a pot of broccoli boiling. (Nothing against broccoli, but don't want that smell in my bathroom.) I couldn't quite tell exactly where it was coming from, though. Some other locals here in Delray Beach raved about Marcum's as being efficient and honest, so I called yesterday and scheduled an appointment for today. Sean came and using a camera, found some old grout from the bathroom remodel 5 years ago that the contractor must have washed down the drain, and it had adhered down there and smelly stuff was collecting on it. (I hadn't suspected the shower drain as I had previously run vinegar and baking soda, hot water, and then bleach down the drain.) Sean was able to clear it out, and he also recommended that I run a basket clean cycle on my washer (which is also in my master bath), as he thought the smells might be a combination of the two things. I am so happy that the smell is gone, and the $125 was very well worth it! Highly recommend this plumber! read more

Had the sink, garbage disposal and dishwasher hooked up. The first man who came was totally incompetent. Had to have someone else come to finish the job. Totally overpaid for the job. Asked them to come back when in the area to install a soap dispenser and was charged for a half an hour's labor for a five minute job. read more
