That kind of service is hard to beat. Of course, this past weekend our air conditioning decided to stop working, because apparently AC units only break on weekends and holidays! Ewing & Ewing is open 24/7, so we called and Chris Storey came out on Sunday morning. Chris has been to our home many times, and he is absolutely amazing at what he does. He had us back up and running in less than 30 minutes! When your a/c stops working on a hot weekend in South Florida, there is nothing better than the relief of knowing you have a company you can count on to come out quickly and get you back to ice-cold air. If you need a new AC unit or just a service call, I highly recommend Ewing & Ewing. They are professional, reliable, and responsive. Instead, what should have been a routine HVAC replacement turned into a week-long ordeal involving poor workmanship, property damage, repeated cancellations, and poor communication. I want to recognize Robert and Elena. They were professional, knowledgeable, and tried to help throughout the process. Unfortunately, the problems started before installation when the agreed-upon price was changed. Although it was eventually honored, it set the tone for what followed. Within hours of installation, the brand-new system leaked and flooded part of my home through a ceiling vent. A different technician later confirmed the installation had been done incorrectly and repaired the leak. Despite unfinished work and damage, I was repeatedly pressured for final payment. I paid only after Robert assured me that the remaining issues would be corrected. The installation still has several unresolved concerns and we still don't have air conditioning as I'm writing this review: 1) Damaged attic access was painted over instead of properly repaired. 2) A hole from the installation was left unrepaired. 3) A large gap around the return allows attic air into the system. 4) Poorly installed insulation. 5) Outdoor condenser installed out of level. 6) Condenser pad overlaps the brick walkway, and the adjacent concrete slab cracked after installation. 6) Repair appointments were repeatedly canceled because the technicians took other jobs, and I'm still waiting for the owner's return call. I also shared photos with an independent HVAC company. They expressed serious concerns about the workmanship and recommended correcting the installation, including properly sealing the return and adding a condensate pump as best practice since the drain line had already clogged during the installation. I purchased a 10-year labor warranty, yet I've never seen in my 20+ yrs dealing with HVAC companies a straightforward HVAC replacement generate this many issues. If the owner is reading this: Robert and Elena are valuable assets to your company. I hope you honor your commitment to correct the remaining issues and ensure the installation meets professional standards. A company's reputation is built on quality workmanship, accountability, and communication. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. I sincerely hope the remaining issues are corrected, we get our air conditioning running and that this experience leads to better workmanship and customer service for future customers.

My place just had hurricane impact windows installed by MCI in Delray who did a horrific job! My…read morebrand new AC unit was ruined. The ducts were filled with dust and who knows what else! I spent a fortune having my place totally cleaned! Rugs, curtains, everything!!! After spending all that time and money getting my place somewhat clean we hired FL AC to come clean my ducts. That were filled with dust, mold, asbestos and possible lead? Year built 1974!!! This FL AC co came in knowing this and they knew my dusts had dust and unknown chemicals in it. Their job was to close off the other side of the ac duct so it doesn't blow these chemicals into the unit. The other side of my ducts went right into my bedroom too. Since I have developed breathing probs due to all this dust from MCI windows in Delray I had to leave the condo until they completed the job. When I came back into my place my throat totally closed up. I couldn't breathe. This co was supposed to cover and close up that vent and only allow the dirt and debris from my ducts to go back into their cleaning machine they used. Not have it blown out the other side of my vent where all this debris ended up! It's airborne and after spending a fortune on cleaning my place my bedroom was totally filled with dust and all these chemicals. Nothing was covered either! Everything in my bedroom was FILLED WITH DUST. My Rugs that I just had steam cleaned. MY bedroom smelled horrid and after spending all this time and money n cleaning my rugs and curtains it was back to the way MCI left it!!!. My bed blankets and sheets filled with dust!. My electronics were also filled with this dust. Chemicals we have NO idea that was inside those ducts! All my clothes ruined! They had to come in with a HEPA BIG MACHINE that had to run for three to four days! And I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE ELECTRIC FOR THIS??? Do not use this company Do not use MCI EITHER.
