The day before my move, I was told the cost would actually be over $1,100 due to a "call center mistake." I had no time to find another mover, so I was stuck paying nearly double. The franchise manager and owner both admitted the quoting issue was the call center's mistake and that there has been multiple issues with the call center company, but the best they offered was a small discount -- still well above what I was originally told. I understand labor isn't free, but it's unfair to place the burden of your internal errors on the customer. I won't be using this company again and would caution others to get all quotes in writing before booking. The movers were great, I would hire them ten times over however I would never conduct buisness with this company again after that initial experience.

He showed up the next day and tried to increase the quote because nothing was staged for them to pick up. Never a part of the quote or discussed when the quote was handled. I addressed it with him and he proceeded to argue with me about it. I sent him and his helpers on their way. I've used other haulers that show up when they're supposed to and don't bicker about things not being staged and try to charge you more. I was looking forward to getting junk removed today and it didn't happen because of unprofessionalism from the owner himself. We'll get it removed elsewhere. I'm reading bad reviews here and seeing his responses and they're funny because he's calling out his own customers to make it out to be their fault instead of learning from his mistakes. Let me share my experience and the price I was charged. I contacted this company (based on the reviews) several weeks before the removal job was scheduled to be done. I needed to meet a deadline with having the home cleared. I spoke with Julius. I explained that I needed removal services and that I had several high quality furniture items still in the home. I was concerned about how expensive it may be to remove a sectional, large entertainment center, clear the garage and basement and two rooms upstairs. I explained that I would try to give the heavy items away, as I had already used movers a month earlier to relocate my things to my home at the national harbor. Julius ensured me that even if the items weren't given away, that the price would be fair. He said, constantly that " I"ll give you a fair price. I'm not trying to rip you off. You don't have to worry about that". ( side note: as a therapist, the one thing I can assure you is if any person you're doing business with constantly says this, you're about to get ripped off). Anyway, we set a date and he agreed to bring "his team" and clear the home. We met on this past Sunday. He came to the home with one other guy. I gave him a walk through. I explained that I sold the heavy furniture and that the movers for the buyers would be at the home as well. When Julius got to my home, the buyers movers were taking a load to her home and coming back for a second load. Their large truck was packed to the max ( I'll explain why this is relevant later). Anyway, after doing the walk through, I was certain that Julius and his partner were ready to clear my home. When speaking with them about pricing on the phone, Julius hold me that a full load was $625. I agreed. Julius informed me that they would start by moving the two bedroom sets first which consisted of one kiddie bed and short dresser and a queen bed and one dresser. They also moved a small dresser from My daughters room and a short dresser from my room. Several pieces to the beds were left upstairs as well as the railings to the beds. They also placed bed railings in the garage. Once they loaded the few items on the truck, Julius came to me and said he had other appts and had to come back tomorrow to do the rest. Wait..WHAT? I was speechless. He said he had 3 other jobs scheduled. I asked him how that was possible when I scheduled with him weeks ago. He stuttered and gave me no real reason besides saying he didn't want to miss out on the money. I was speechless. He then told me that he could bring a dumpster back tomorrow and that the base price was $500. He said that's minus the labor and time. I was so confused because I only wanted him to take the beds, large military trunks and lawn equipment. He tried to persuade me to let them do a full cleaning of the home that would have cost me over $2000 according to their pricing. I was disappointed and hurt because as a single mom I didn't want to feel cheated but that's exactly what was happening. Things only got worse. I went outside to look at the truck and their was so much space left on the trailer. I asked if he could please take the military trunks and lawn mowers. He declined, stating that he had other appts. He then told me that it was $360 for the beds that he moved. I was in total shock and angry. I let them follow me to the atm and paid them. I vowed to never use them again. It just so happened that the buyer asked her moving guys if they could help me. They were two Jamaican guys who were fast and awesome. They agreed to clear the entire home for me, including the garage for $150!! I paid them extra because my three level home was clear and cleaned by them in 3 hours!!!! They didn't even break a sweat!! They packed their truck to the max, cleaned my floors, the garage floor, the basement floor. I had never seen anything like it.
