I scheduled a move with College Hunks and was quoted $692 for 4 hours over the phone by their call…read morecenter. No one told me this was only for 2 hours, and I never received anything in writing. The day before my move, I was told the cost would actually be over $1,100 due to a "call center mistake." I had no time to find another mover, so I was stuck paying nearly double. The franchise manager and owner both admitted the quoting issue was the call center's mistake and that there has been multiple issues with the call center company, but the best they offered was a small discount -- still well above what I was originally told. I understand labor isn't free, but it's unfair to place the burden of your internal errors on the customer. I won't be using this company again and would caution others to get all quotes in writing before booking. The movers were great, I would hire them ten times over however I would never conduct buisness with this company again after that initial experience.

I reached out to College Hunks to remove some old patio furniture. The call center said they would…read morecome out and give me a price quote and then we could go from there. I had a window on a Saturday morning from 10:30am-12:30pm. Around 10am, I received a call stating that they were on their way and would arrive around 10:40am. They pulled around the back of my house and within 5 minutes were able to through the patio furniture over the deck and were done. They were friendly and professional. Austin and Eli did a great job and I will absolutely use them again and recommend their services.

We Californians (the state, not the city in Maryland) are spoiled with our weekly curbside trash…read moreand biweekly recycling pick ups, and city provided bins. Once in a while we have to trek out to the hazardous dump to dispose of our collected batteries, light bulbs, chemicals, what have you. And, sometimes when not lazy, we even take our aluminum cans and recyclables to the easily found, local recycling centers to make some pocket money. Having to go to the county dump to dispose of your gross trash, in your own vehicle nonetheless, is a completely foreign concept. I got to visit the county dump, at 7:30 am on a Thursday morning, and... it... was... awesome!! The neighbors say they all wait until Saturday morning in a long line, like a block party roundup. I'd rather pay for a pick-up service or go on as early weekday if possible, because my time is better spent elsewhere. First, you drive your car onto the scale for a before weight, and give your info to the window lady who explains where to go and what to do. SHOUT OUT to the window lady with the killer bright pink nails and purple outfit (or vice versa?). You are the epitome of customer service, holla!! Down the path maybe 25 feet you hang a right at the spray-painted sign for the Metals container. You can separate your metals and co-mingled and paper types just beyond. Another 50 feet to the right is a HUGE open warehouse where you back in and dump household trash. IT STINKS. We were backed in so far, we thought the big grappling crane thing was going to pick the trash straight out of the truck and put it in the moving trash train. A city dump truck unloaded to our left and trash surrounded our truck. It had three green bins crushed in its load. I dunno, I'm not a germaphobe but airborne germies, nails or screws to pop your tires, and just plain filth are not my cup of tea. The suffocating stench will invade your vehicle, no matter what. BUT very cute vultures waiting patiently not ten feet away soo made my day!!! Once done with unloading, you go back to the scales, with the option of dropping off paints or propane tanks to the right. You are weighed and sent off with a cheerful, pleasant farewell. Near the visitor parking area are compost heaps. Landfills are depressing to think about.

They've never actually come on the day or time that they are supposed to. I would love to cancel services, but can't seem to get in touch with anyone. 0 stars.
