My mother came here for apt, has been going for a few years, but this time was a significantly negative experience. Doctor is only focused on tooth extraction ( crown/ implant) I assume that's what pays for his daughters out of state tuition ;). My mom has dental insurance, but he said the insurance doesn't pay him well so he took 200$ cash, and the next morning it cracked. Lol can't make this up, attached it a photo. Incompetent and careless front desk - wasted three weeks of my time. I came in for an emergency visit, was seen by a nice doctor and they sent a pre-authorization for a root canal. For some reason, they sent it by mail (unlike electronically, like everyone else) and insisted it would take 3 weeks to hear back. After a week and a half, my insurance told me that if they just sent it electronically and labeled it as "emergency", I'd hear back after 48 hours. I communicated this to the front desk, but they sounded annoyed, and wouldn't lift a finger to help, and insisted I had to keep waiting. They refused to submit the pre-auth electronically or call insurance to speed up the process (even though insurance recommended this, and earlier, the receptionist herself said she would call.) So, I went to a new dentist, who immediately filed an electronic pre-authorization, and heard back within a few days. The new dentist requested the full set of xrays, which Avant Garde Dental promised to send, twice -- but didn't actually send! This delayed the process by another week, until I called myself. It's now been a month of phone calls to insurance and multiple offices -- while dealing with a tooth in bad shape! Had I gone to another dentist, I would've had an approval within a week. I think the front desk needs to remember that people who call them are having a very bad time, and telling someone with tooth pain to "just wait 3 weeks" is brutal, especially when they can help. The office is modern and nice, and the dentist who saw me was fine. But they wasted a month of my time with tooth pain. Beware. read more

All his root canals have failed. It cost me thousands to repair at a different dentist who couldn't stop exclaiming what old soviet union mentality could conduct a root canal in such a way. The method of his root canals is outdated and set for failure. Not only has his root canals failed, but he does not notice/tell you ALL problems that teeth have. A few months after going to him, another dentist found 9+ problems. Its not that i obtained all these problems within a few months, its the negligence of Dr. Khaytman and staff. Avoid this place at all costs. I will also briefly mention the extremly rude russian staff who have never learned professionalism in their entire lives. They think its perfeclty acceptable to comment snarky and rude comments. read more

None of his fillings or crowns lasted for more than 5 years, the others that I have done with different dentists are still good for more than 10 years. Zero Professionalism!!!! If I could leave zero stars for this facility, I gladly would. Worst front desk staff ever!!! There's an immature boy working the front desk with zero professionalism. As I was walking away, I could hear him discussing my case to Dmitry Khaytman, DDS. Their discussion was then followed by profuse laughter. If you're going to mock your patients, I would suggest that you at least exercise discretion. I will never set foot in this office ever again and I will make sure that the dozen patients that I've referred to your facility know how you treat your patients. There are much better dentists in the area and I intend to find one. I would also like to add that this dentist was extremely indifferent towards me and had a very rough bed side manner, jerking my head around in every direction to check for cavities. AVOID THIS OFFICE. The girls at the front desk are extremely unprofessional. They let anyone who's Russian go in before you. Check their reviews. There are dozens of complaints about this. I sat there multiple times for over an hour while Russians walked in, schmoozed with the girls and walked right into the back while I kept on waiting. As for Khaytman, the last time his hands massaged my cheeks for no good reason, I promised would be the last.... This behavior is crudely unprofessional and he doesn't care how uncomfortable he makes his patients uncomfortable. read more

Dmitry Khaytman and Staff has always been very professional, timely and clean. His dental hygienists are always patient and gentle when it comes to cleanings and oral care check ups. Dmitry has been my dentist for over 8 years now and I've recommended most my family & friends to use dental services. I know this doctor for years. He had done the best job ever for every single visit that I had scheduled with him. For me he had successfully accomplished two of my wisdom teeth removals, regular prophylactic fillings, route canals as well as he had two crowns installed the way I cannot even tell which teeth were covered. Scheduled an appointment for TODAY since last FRIDAY. After reading these comments, something told me to give a call and confirm my appointment before heading there for my 12pm appt. I spoke with a guy name Dave (if that really is his name) and he said he doesn't see my name on there. Meanwhile he was also having a conversation with his coworker while we were on the phone without even telling me what "do you mind holding while I look into our system" or something along those lines. He asked me to spell my name three times and after EACH time he stated he doesn't see my name in the system and followed by saying I probably called the wrong office. I explained to him all I did was scroll down in my call history on my phone and selected the same number. He once again went to his coworker without telling me he was going to. So unprofessional. Instead of trying to just apologize or stating they could squeeze me in or for another day, all he kept saying was "you're not in our system" and asking for my name again and having side convo with his coworker. Disgusted and upset I even wasted my time making the appt there and not else where. My advice if you have no choice but to go here because it's more convenient, confirm you're appt but if you do have a choice, find a place where from beginning (front desk) to end (dentist) give you a great experience. read more

This dentist is literally a godsend! I came to him with some serious dental issues and this man in a matter of one month save one of my teeth from a root canal. And he gave me a beautiful smile rootcanal and crown on four of my front teeth and completely changed my smile for the better. Also very nice and great attitude. Amazing dentist. read more

I've been to the office of Dr. Khaytman for various issues (from regular cleaning to cavity filling to zoom whitening) over the course of the past 3+ years and do not have a single complaint. I was surprised to see any negative reviews on this page and knew I had to add my comment. Coming from someone who has had a serious hate/fear of the dentist since I was a little girl (2.5 years with braces were not kind to me) I have never been happier with a dentist office than this one. Everything is clean, orderly, fast, fair and pleasant. His work has been flawless. I usually don't write reviews, but after this visit i could not help myself. This doctor was recommended to me by my coworker- she told me he is cheap and good and would not charge for any additional services etc-very honest. Office is ok-nothing special, reception girls are fine. When I called-they scheduled me for the next day-so not much time wait. I waited 40 min in the lobby-to be seated in the chair to wait another 25 min-then the doctor came- talked to me for 5 min- listened to what I had to say and went away- another 30 min passed- apparently he was working on some other patient and his assistant was entertaining me-nice lady, but TO WAIT SO LONG IS UNACCEPTABLE. Doctor appeared. let me tell you- THE MOST UNFRIENDLY DOCTOR I HAVE EVER BEEN TO IN MY WHOLE LIFE. I WOULD SAY EVEN NASTY WITH THE ATTITUDE. but his trade mark i figured is- he would tell me- ' do you want me to do you some services and charge you for work?' when its better not to do anything here? -that might create some trust and seems like he cares about your money, but come on-I have a problem-my tooth hurts- i want it to be FIXED-this way or the other. i am trying to find good dentist.. My neighbor gave me Dr Khaytman contact i just need to do simple cleaning and ask advice about how to maintain good dental care.. Hygienist lady don't take hair up,and it was all over..you can see even picture in the yelp web During cleaning her personal phone ring..she took the call from her kids(she told me they need to buy some grocery..common!!!)..she took her phone with her gloves..the same one she was doing my cleaning...NICE... After she did cleaning-it takes her physical less then 10 min..(never in my life i had such lite and fast tooth clean up) She took my X ray and start to tell me that i had major problem-i felt that i am death raw! He did filling on my tooth so carelessly that i had to go through lot of pain and suffering and finally rushed to ER for root canal. Very un-professional. He was using his cell phone while doing procedure on my tooth. Did not inform me that it might be a root canal. Later i explored at least two other people who went to him for filling , ended up doing root canal.If you go to him for filling it most likely he will damage your nevrve. I have been Dr. Khaytman's patient for over 10 years ever since he started working in this office. Last week I had a horrible experience at this office and I will not be going there again. When I arrived to the office I told the receptionists that I have an appointment to see Dr. Khaytman. I was asked to go to one of the room where his assistant told me that he will be coming shortly and asked what was the reason of my visit. After I explained that I need 1 tooth to be checked she started taking x-rays and took 8 x-rays without even telling me why she needed so much. After that she preceded saying that she needs to prep me and started sort of cleaning. Since I have very sensitive teeth I asked her if she could apply gel to numb to which she replied that the application won't help to alleviate the pain since it is my teeth that are sensitive and not my gums. After spending 2 min cleaning she stopped and said that I don't have an appointment to see the doctor. I said that I do have an appointment and I need to see the doctor. She argued that I don't have and told me to talk to the doctor. I went to doctor. He was busy with another patient and also talking on his cell phone. I told him that I need to talk to him when he has a chance. Holding a phone with one hand and instruments with another he yelled saying that he was in the middle of a surgery and I have to wait 1,5 hour if I want to see him. I went to the receptionists explaining that I made an appointment to see the doctor. They said "Oh! you wanted to see the doctor?" I called my insurance and filed a complaint against the office reporting their dishonest ways of doing business. read more
