The female dentist sent me away said i didnt need a root canal only a crown well i had pain and needed root canal she said the filling was cracked i went to another dentist and she showed me where the tooth was cracked as well as the filling. I've used this practice for many years for my family and we truly love the entire practice- from front office to the way the doctors handle any dental issue you have. It is super simple to book an appointment, they listen to your scheduling needs and accomodate and I had a crown on my front tooth 10 years ago that is still perfect. Dr. Gary made sure to get it perfect- he listens, cares about your teeth and he is a perfectionist with his work and the crown came out perfect and felt great from the start. No one loves going to the dentist but this truly is an enjoyable experience every time. read more

I had an appointment today and I felt compelled to do this long review. I was referred to this practice not knowing that it was a family practice. Had I known I would've specified who I wanted to see. Well I so happened to get Jonathan Locke. He introduced himself and I stated my complaint. He was rushy and didn't spend much time trying to hear me. I asked if they did implants at the office and instead of saying yes or no he stated 1 thing at a time. That was a simple yes or no question. Upon the hygienist /assistant entering the room I asked if it was a family practice and told her I have a fear of dentist and ask who would be best suited for me. She assured me they were all good and it's a family of 5 that works there. He then sent the hygienist to do a X-ray she was using a larger than comfortable X-ray clip for my mouth size. Despite the discomfort I left her so what she was doing until it felt very uncomfortable n scraping my gum. Still I did what she asked and bite gently. She made a remark that I had a problem biting gentle which was not the case the damn thing was scraping my gums. I expressed my position on not wanting a root canal bc I've had bad experiences with them in the past and it resulted in extraction. My teeth not yours! I'd rather have an extraction when I'm younger rather than later when I'm older and my threshold for pain has lessen. I got a temporary filing from Jonathan which he used his finger to do n isn't smooth I can feel it with my tongue n I told that to the hygienist. She asked if I want him to adjust it and I told her no I wasn't thrilled with Jonathan's attitude. I wasn't told how long the temporary filing should be in or when to come back. He gave 2 referrals which were picked up at the front desk. I made an appointment to do a cleaning next wk. About 20 mins after I left an old raspy voice calls me from the office stating that the assistant told her I wasn't thrilled with his attitude and suggested that I cancel the appointment and don't come back bc it's a family practice and if I'm not happy with Jonathan I won't be happy with any other Locke. Needless to say I canceled the appointment and wrote this review. The professional thing to do would be to ask questions first as to why I'm opposed to having a root canal and crown. The front desk could've simply asked someone else to treat me at my next visit. But instead she basically said don't come back here none of the Lockes won't treat you well. read more

I wanted to like this place, truly, after all they have lots of cops as clients. However, after talking to the front desk I realize they are breaking the law by balance billing. They are in contract with Cigna dental DPPO, but won't accept their contracted rate. The front desk then gets nasty/rude when you try to explain. read more

If you're ok with a relaxed covid protocol regarding masking, you will be happy here. IMHO Gary Locke is a very competent dentist. He put a crown on my implant that was perfect. If you do not have a relaxed attitude toward PPE the environment here is uncomfortable. Dr G. Locke's assistant informed me in his presence that "Technically we are not required to wear masks." He did not correct this but rather told me " I seem to not be comfortable coming here." Duh! So, if you do not mind a chilly quasi political atmosphere, by all means, see the Locke brothers. read more

Dentists are nice guys but office overbooks appointments then cancels to reschedule repetitively. My daughter was told she had 2 cavities, the office scheduled a follow-up appt. for a month later, few days before the appointment the office contacts us to cancel and reschedule, so we rescheduled. The day before next appt. we are contacted by the office to confirm upcoming appt, and after confirming, we are contacted by the office again, to tell us they were unable to see my daughter and they wanted to reschedule for another month later. I spoke with office manager, she seems uncaring and had a, "it is what it is" attitude. Medical matters I feel require prompt treatment and compassionate follow-up, this dental office showed no interest in the well being of my child.... read more

Was called to reschedule my appointment three times, fine, whatever. During one of these calls I informed them that I had a new insurance. They never said anything about not accepting it so I was extremely disappointed at the end of my appointment when I was told they don't take that insurance and I would have to pay $125 out of pocket. Dr. Gary Locke has been my dentist since I was a teenager. He is gentle and makes sure you don't feel anything. I never worry about getting a root canal done, it's fairly quick and painless. He does really good work. The dental hygienists in the office are also super nice and gentle. Everyone is friendly. Really it feels more like family when you go there. Great atmosphere and work. I would suggest making your 6 month cleaning appointment well in advance. For emergencies, you can get appointments much quicker. read more

I have been undergoing dental implants for the past 12+ months and simply could not get a well-fitted cap for the abutments. Two visits to Dr. G. Locke and I am the proud (and extremely grateful!) owner of a perfectly fitted, perfectly color-matched, and good looking completed dental implant. I have 3 more to go and have never looked forward to dental visits as much as I do now. Knowing how professional and reliable he is adds to the experience. This review is not of the dentist, but of the hygienist and how appointments are handled. I've been seeing Melissa for cleanings twice a year for a couple of years, because as they advise, regular cleanings are extremely important. My last cleaning was in May, at which time I made my next appointment for this November...6 months in advance. The office called me a couple of weeks ago and asked if I would agree to cancel this appointment and they would call me to reschedule. I said no problem. The office did not call me, so I called the following week, expecting to get an appointment close to the one they canceled. I was told the next available appointment at the time slot I needed was at the end of APRIL, 2019! I was shocked. I said that isn't fair, I made my appointment 6 months ago and now I can't have a cleaning for a year?! I said it was up to Melissa to fit me in somehow, to accommodate me, the way I accommodated her. They insisted there was no way. Why didn't Melissa, first of all, call me herself, and then work me in--either staying late, or coming another day? How dare they make me wait a year! So much for good dental hygiene! She isn't the only hygienist there, but no one could see me earlier than May. I am shocked at the unprofessional way this was handled, and their lack of interest in doing the right thing for a regular client. At my job I go the extra mile for my clients. Both brothers are an absolute pleasure to work with and take extremely great care of their patients. They are always accurate and give full explanations of issues, I wouldn't know where else to go if not for them. I've been working here for 34 years plus so have most of the girls who work here so that says a lot about the practice. We are one big family .The Locke brothers are amazing at what they do.. we have a very friendly office , we truly love all of our patients .. and try to accommodate everyone ... The only thing is we are very busy office.. we have seven hygienist in our office and we still have a hard time keeping up with the hygiene schedule although you may have to wait a while for an appointment we highly suggest you make your next six-month appointment while you are there and we do get a lot of cancellations and we do try our best to get people in the schedule as soon as possible. As far as CARYN M's review...our Hygienist's do not make phone calls or schedule patients, Sometimes like anyone else they do get sick or have an emergency we try to have another hygienist cover them but sometimes it doesn't work out that way so we need to cancel those patients for the day but we always try our best to get them in sooner which we always do. read more

These days, my question about life is, "Who can you trust?" I was very pleased to find a new dentist after mine who was in business with his brother suddenly died. I thought it was great that the referral came from someone I knew and that (yet again) two brothers were in business together. I had great visits and was very pleased with the management of their office, as I never had to wait. Needless to say after many years of service I had to FIRE my dentist . Unfortunately, I have really great oral health and had my last cavity at 10. I say unfortunately because my dentist's brother (when my dentist was unavailable ) would tell me, I swear he did, "I cannot make any money from your visits. I never had a cavity and only needed an exam, yearly x-rays and a cleaning. So, this "Doctor of Dentistry" lied and told me that I had a cavity so that he could...you got it, make more money from my visit. Eventually, I got a cavity. The icing on the cake was when he told me to ignore this small cavity so that he could perform a root canal. I need not go on because if you can't trust your dentist...who the heck can you trust? read more
