My husband and I purchased an older home that had undergone some recent updates, but we had a…read morelarger vision for the space. Our primary goals were new flooring throughout the home and a complete kitchen remodel. Since we were new to the area, I began researching contractors in the Sacramento region. I also received a recommendation from a friend for a local contractor, so we ultimately obtained estimates from both Condor and a smaller local company. When Tal Pinto arrived for our initial consultation, we walked through the house and discussed our ideas. I had a very specific vision for the kitchen, including painting all of the existing cabinetry. Rather than simply agreeing to the project, Tal took the time to evaluate the cabinets and explained that they were already extremely high quality. He told me that if they were his cabinets, he would leave them exactly as they were. That level of honesty immediately stood out to me. Instead of trying to sell us on unnecessary work, he provided thoughtful, professional advice that was genuinely in our best interest. From that moment on, I had a great feeling about Condor. When we received our estimate, it was one of the most detailed and organized proposals I had ever seen. Every aspect of the project was clearly outlined, including labor, scope of work, and material allowances. There were no surprises and no confusion--just a transparent and professional plan. Once we signed the contract, the process moved forward seamlessly. Tal provided recommendations for flooring and paint suppliers, but when we ultimately found a flooring company we preferred, he had no problem working with them. His flexibility and willingness to accommodate our preferences made the process even easier. At the time of the renovation, my husband and I were still living in Southern California, which meant we could not be on-site during construction. This could have been stressful, but Condor made it incredibly easy. Tal provided regular updates, photos, and progress reports throughout the project. When Paz stepped in to oversee the job while Tal was out of town, the communication never skipped a beat. We always knew exactly what was happening and where the project stood. As with many remodels, we encountered a few unexpected issues along the way, including cracked ceilings and a significant water leak in the master bathroom. Rather than becoming obstacles, these issues were addressed quickly and professionally. The team was proactive, solution-oriented, and committed to keeping the project moving forward. The quality of the finished work exceeded our expectations. Every detail was completed with care and craftsmanship, and the transformation of our home has been incredible. The kitchen is now my favorite room in the house, and the before-and-after photos speak for themselves. What truly sets Condor apart is the combination of exceptional workmanship, outstanding communication, organization, and integrity. Throughout the entire process, we felt informed, respected, and confident that our home was in good hands. I would wholeheartedly recommend Condor to anyone considering a remodel or renovation project. Finding a contractor you can trust is invaluable, and our experience with Condor was outstanding from start to finish.

Existing dark brown deck boards were lifting with plank screw fasteners exposed. After an unsuccessful attempt to use of Behr penetrating stain, boards were partially restored to a dark brown. After one year, the Behr stain began to visibly peel off of all components of the deck. Douglas fir staircase railings did not soak in or retain the Behr stain. Last year, due to heavy rain, our adjacent underground basement flooded requiring pumping to remove water transferred through the cement foundation of the home. Project Phases: Phase 1: remove all existing wood components of the existing deck. Phase 2: Excavate deck side of the House foundation, a) paint foundation with active water resistant barrier paint to cover all House foundation areas next to the back deck. Bury white 4 inch piped highly absorbent water accumulators and interconnect piping with an existing roof gutter drain system. Phase 3: Install new TREX Transcend "Tiki Torch" wood grain planks using concealed TREX fastener system complimented by new black metal rust resistant stair case fencing and railing system. We were so fortunate to find KEN RECTOR CONSTRUCTION-AUBURN to engineer, furnish and design our project. Ken Rector Construction competitively bid our Project, developed a comprehensive Project Statement of Work (SOW) and Easy-to-Understand Job Contract, ordered all materials, ordered a wonderful Construction Team and was available on-site though out the Project. Ken Rector's Team knew exactly what to do, when and maintained clean-up of the Construction Site every day. We were able to relax and watch a "Dream Come True" by selecting a highly professional licensed Contractor who successfully processed and managed job and our Nevada County Building Permit for Deck & Drain Construction. Excellent Customer Service, Customer/Contractor daily Communication and workmanship! Don't delay contacting Ken Rector, he is very busy and there is a reason. You will not be disappointed and so happy for a refreshing change how a project should be done!

Our situation was by no means an "easy" job so to speak, as our house had water damage back in March due to a shotty roof job prior.. 80% of the drywall and insulation had to be removed immediately, and Dan was the only contractor out of many that actually followed through with a comprehensive bid proposal and timeline of work to be completed, and did so in a timely manner. The reason this job wasn't such and easy job, such as a straight remodel, was because it was an insurance repair. Not only did Dan and his crew pick up the pieces and put the house back together the way it was prior to water damage, but they went above and beyond in fixing minor issues found along the way. If we had to assign Loomis Basin Builders a grade, it's and easy A+ from us, we couldn't be happier and more appreciative to have found a contractor willing to help us out of a jam, and get started on what COULD have been a nightmare with insurance, and did so without hesitation. Thank you again Dan!
