Kim is the microblade specialist I see and my experience with her has been amazing. I go for touch ups twice a year and each time I receive the same attention to detail and care. She listens and takes her time. By this point, she already knows the shape and color that best suits me and makes going in for touch ups very relaxing. I added a photo of the most recent touch up. Of course the first week is a little darker but in a couple weeks they will be perfection. The final product is always great; my brows were very sparse so this saves me so much time when getting ready and not having to fill in my brows. I just swap them with brow setting gel and that's it, out the door. In terms of pain, Kim always makes sure I am completely numb before she proceeds. I moved only 12 miles away from the (downtown) salon/spa I went to for 12 years, but we all know with Chicago traffic 12 miles is an hour+ drive (one way) and then you still have to look for, or pay for, parking. It made it hard to go regularly like I used to. I'll admit, I'm very picky about who touches my hair, nails, and skin. There have been many trials and errors over the years. For instance, there were times I have felt the service was going wrong and have said, "Stop," and jumped off the table. I know. Mistakes happen. That's cool. But if too much of my eyebrow is accidentally waxed off and then "continued" to be tweezed OR if you make one eyebrow resemble half of the golden arches, and the other look like an Angry Bird, then you tell me it looks good, yeah...not cool. A month ago, I used Yelp to find and contact OmSpa for a facial. If you click on, "Request an Appointment," on (this) OM Spa Yelp page, Catrina (the owner) replies very quickly. I was able to schedule an appointment for a few days later. 2 days before my appointment, I received a reminder via text. The day of, I received a text from the Esthetician. She introduced herself and confirmed my services for that day. Wow! Now to me, "that" displays great client advocates. My Esthetician, Lisa: Very personable, professional, patient, warm, and knowledgeable. I felt so comfortable with her. My SERVICES: Facial, Waxing (brow, lip, and sides), and Eyelash Tint. My FACIAL: My skin looked vibrant, smooth, and youthful. My breakouts along my jawline decreased dramatically and were gone a couple days later. I had many compliments on how great my skin looked. Today, ONE month later, it looks like I had a facial just a week ago! My EYEBROW WAXING, Lisa paid close attention to how my brow hairs laid and to its current shape situation and somehow...she just made it better. I had someone stop and say, "How do you get your eyebrows to look perfect like that?!" My EYELASH TINT: I have thin and short lashes. Lisa did take time to explain that to me. She was so patient with them. I know it's hard to get the tint onto short lashes. The results still exceeded my expectations. NEXT: MICROBLADING My brows are very light and thin. In pictures, I often look brow-less. I use a brow powder and brow brush to fill them in EVERY morning. I can't leave the house without my brows being done. After talking to Lisa about Microblading and doing my own research, Catrina came highly recommended. She's considered to be one of the best of the best so I knew her staff would also live up to that. Lisa helped me make it all happen with Rebecca this week. My Microblading Artist/Specialist, Rebecca: friendly, professional, knows her craft! There's something about her...it's as if you can feel her saying to you, "Don't worry. I got you." I didn't feel the need to ask many questions. I just "knew" I was in good hands. Rebecca picked 3 colors based on my features and showed me the different shapes/arches that would look best for my face. I was pleased with all the choices and we picked the winners together. The process, I felt, was quick yet precise. I discovered I am highly sensitive in my brow area and did have to ask to take a few breathers. Rebecca did not mind at all. She paid attention to her work and stayed mindful of my comfort level. The result - I love how my brows look! They're still in the very fresh healing stage (again, I just had them done this week) so right now, they are dark. After your 1st Microblading appointment, you'll need to do a touch-up 4-6 weeks later. I can't wait to see how they tone down over the next few weeks. If I remember, I'll post another picture in about 2-3 months. OVERALL: YES, I HIGHLY recommend OM Spa. I feel their skills, quality of work, and the before & after care they provide are exceptional. The day after my Microblading with Rebecca, Lisa checked-up on me to make sure I was happy with everything. Truly amazing! I can't thank them both enough. I even have my next appointment already scheduled for a different service!

I took a few weeks to consider my decision then contacted Lana to book my appointment. Everything went great! Lana really took her time to explain everything well, to understand the shape I wanted, to mix the perfect color (maybe an hour just for this - but it is really important!), and to perform the procedure. She checked on me frequently to make sure I was not feeling pain. I had a great experience and plan to go back in the fall to expand the shape of my brows (I asked Lana to go thinner than what she recommended, which is why I will need a touch up).

I sent Josefina a photo of my dark lips to determine if the process would lighten my lips and add color. It did not. My lips were dry but never peeled. When I shared this with her after each session, she showed me pics of other client who had dark lips and successful results. She said instead of 3 sessions it may take 4 for me to get results. After 4 sessions my lips are the same color they were before. Her reviews show she is good at micro blading eyebrows but the lip coloring process did not work for me. So do your research before investing in this. I paid $1500 for a cosmetic procedure that did not work and she is $1500 richer. Beware!
