This is a long overdue review for Lexington Paint. I cannot recommend Spiro and his team enough. I…read morewas getting floor work done at the same time, and Spiro and his team worked around my schedule and was extremely flexible with last minute changes. He even finished a day earlier than the quoted turnaround so I can make my hard deadline. Lexington painting did not sacrifice quality even with the short turn. The painting was smooth and even, and covered up the dark grey accent walls left by the previous owner. Even though it took more coats that originally quoted, Spiro did not charge me extra. Finally, the communication was excellent. Karen provided COIs and multiple SOWs quickly, and Spiro either texted or called to explain everything to ensure I was comfortable with the job. Would recommend this team in a heartbeat.

Working with Damian and his team has been a pleasure. We emailed for a quote and he asked some…read morequestions and for some photos of the space. (Every other person we emailed for a quote did the same. None came to visit, and with COVID I was cool with that.) His quote was consistent with most of the other highly rated folk we reached out to for quotes. What set him apart was his clear emails with detailed pricing. It was clear that he knew painting was expensive, and people imagine doing everything at once and think of it as all-or-nothing. His pricing model showed it was some-at-a-time. (We did go all in though :) ) He was very responsive on email and answered questions from the mundane to the esoteric with patience and clarity. He came the day before the job was supposed to start to drop off supplies and map out everything that was should happen with me and his team. His team was great, polite, and professional. The speed and quality of the work was amazing. Everyone was happy to answer questions and explain what was happening. For me, the true test was with an accident that happened. Relatively minor, but Damian took full ownership and made it right without any discussion. That is how you do it. He gave great advice throughout the process, and respected what I needed. Have already asked for quotes on additional spaces in the house. Highly recommend.

Larry and his team were outstanding from start to finish. Larry was incredibly professional,…read moreresponsive and easy to work with. He communicated throughout the entire process, explained exactly what he was going to do, showed up when he said he would, and made the whole project remarkably easy for us. What impressed me most was how honest and straightforward he was. His pricing was very fair, there were no surprises, and he actually went beyond what we had originally discussed to make sure everything looked right. He clearly takes a lot of pride in his work and cares about the end result, not just getting the job finished. Larry and his crew painted several rooms and ceilings in our Manhattan apartment, including areas that needed patching and repair. The quality of the work was excellent. They were careful, clean, respectful of our apartment, and extremely professional throughout. The job was completed on time and on budget, and the finished work looks great. Larry also has a very personal approach--you deal directly with him, he communicates frequently, and you always know what is happening. That made a big difference for us. I would hire Larry again without hesitation and would recommend him very highly to anyone looking for a painter who is skilled, honest, reliable and genuinely cares about doing a great job.

Because of some other renovation hiccups, I had to postpone a couple of times and George was more than accommodating and even squeezed me in last minute when I was ready to go. Despite this, George and Dan could not have been more flexible and nicer about it. I have not had them paint yet, as I'm waiting to have some other work completed first (will update when they are), but I am so excited for when they do because the repaired walls look so much better already!!

From the outset, Bair's communication was impeccable, proactive, clear, and highly professional. He handled all co-op requirements seamlessly, including COIs and supporting paperwork, which immediately inspired confidence and made the process feel calm and well managed. The proposal was thorough, transparent, and very fairly priced for the level of craftsmanship delivered. Bair also has a strong eye for design and was a thoughtful partner throughout the project, offering guidance while remaining flexible and responsive as our schedule shifted more than once. We chose deep, richly saturated colors throughout our apartment, a bold decision that can be unforgiving in a plaster unit where every surface detail shows. Paint Lab executed this beautifully. The color saturation is even, refined, and striking, with no shortcuts taken. Their plastering and sanding work was equally impressive, with walls that are smooth, clean, and impeccably prepared, elevating the final result significantly. In addition, they installed high-end wallpaper with exceptional precision, and the result looks absolutely fabulous. The alignment, finish, and overall execution reflect a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail. Just as important, the team treated our home with real care and respect at every stage. The site was well maintained, and the work was carried out with a level of professionalism you don't always find. Paint Lab is an outstanding firm that delivers both technical excellence and aesthetic sensitivity. We would absolutely work with Bair and his team again and recommend them wholeheartedly to other co-op owners looking for a high-quality, design-driven result.
