This place is my go-to for a mani-pedi. The facility is clean, the technicians are sweet, and their work is impeccable. Oh, and it's only $30 for a mani/pedi! Usually they are able to take walk-ins right away, with the exception of weekends. It is best to make an appointment on Fridays and Saturdays, and be sure to be on time! My only advice is not to have the owner do your nails! You'll know him by the headset that is permanently attached to his head. He rushes through manicures while answering back to back calls - it's just not relaxing and the other technicians do a much better, focused job. read more

This is the only place my daughter gets her acrylics done, Bc they look natural and DK nails doesn't charge an arm and a leg. I get my pedicure done here and am always happy with the service. I love getting my nails done here. I "discovered" this locaion about a year ago. One of the nail techs used to work in a nail salon in Pinecrest so I quickly remembered her. Her name is Fiona and she is EXTREMELY NICE. Even though I have moved further north, I still have no problem going to South Miami to get my nails done with her. Visited DK for the first time today and will definitely be back. Everyone was really friendly from the moment I walked in. I didn't have an appointment but I was able to get a mani-pedi right away. In need of a good quicky hand-job? (Okay that sounds wrong). What I mean is if you are looking for a fast, clean and reputable spot to get a manicure, you should get nailed er polish up at DK Nails. I came here yesterday after reading some Yelper's reviews and was nicely greeted when I entered the door. Ana my nail tech did a wonderful job at filing, getting rid of my cuticles and applying the Essie lacquer, Fishnet Stockings. They actually have lots of polish with the newest hues and trendiest shades which is a big plus. What I liked besides the service is that this spot is immaculate, you don't have to wait long and it isn't pricey. $12 for a manicure. But, if you get both a pedi and mani it comes out to $30...a winning deal. I will def be back. read more

I really love this place, they are always busy but also, always able to see me. Maybe I just go at really great times. More like 2.5 stars, but I'm feeling generous. I popped in today for a pedicure and I was seated right away. I had to repeat a few times it was only a pedicure and no manicure also due to communication issues and lack of listening on their part. The chairs were slightly uncomfortable and they looked like massage chairs but weren't as far as I could tell. Points for using a liner in the tub and for having the color I wanted (gave up on VN Nails due to every color I pick is out). The man who worked on my pedicure was a bit rough and as a result, it was not the ideal relaxing experience. My leg massage hurt. He also has long dirty nails and they would dig into my toes as he painted them. The worst? $40 on a Monday for a pedicure? Not going back. read more

I am a long time customer for years and realized some time ago that DK's service and quality has been getting worse. They cut my cuticles until they bleed and are heavy handed with the nail file and cuticle cutters. I didn't want to lose hope in DK, but my most recent experience was the last straw. The last time I went in was two weeks ago. They painted my fingers and toes two different colors even though I had wanted them to match, and they ripped off both my big toe nails. Not being dramatic, they ripped BOTH of them off somehow, which I have never seen happen in my life. I left in tears to go to CVS and buy nail glue to try to piece together what I had left. To add insult to injury, the gel on my fingernails chipped in less than a week when gel normally lasts for at least two weeks. Great. read more

She cut half of my Cuticles and left the other Half pushed back hidden ::as if I can't see it:: when I told her file my nails :square: she turns over to speak in her language with the other nail lady. I used to go here all the time. My technician was Disa. I don't even know if she still works there. Well, apparently there is some type of drama between Disa and Fiona, the owner's wife. I fell victim to their bickering. One day I was there and waited for Disa to help me. I was getting gel nails and picked out a color. Well, Fiona started helping a client nearby and the client pointed at the bottle that was on our table that Disa was going to paint my nails with. Fiona proceeded to attempt to take the color from Disa. I made a face and said, "Seriously???" pretty loud. Fiona said I could wait for her to paint her client first, and I said NO. I had to wait, and now her client can wait as well. The client wouldn't look at me (seems as if she's was in on it with Fiona). Fiona finally conceded and let Disa paint my nails. I made a comment out loud how people need to wait their turn, and how they need to keep their personal issues separate from their clients. I'm never going back there again. I feel bad for Disa. She is really good at what she does, but I'm not giving Fiona and her husband my money any longer. They clearly play favorites and apparently those clients that see employees there that they don't like get treated like shit. No, thanks. read more

DK Nails is my new go-to nail salon. They are clean, careful, friendly, and efficient. My mom came to visit me in Miami last weekend and we wanted to have our nails done. I had been to DK Nails once for just a manicure and knew that I liked it MUCH better than the nearby Pinkie's (it's like a factory, they're not nice at all and my nails chipped in a day), but I knew that Pinkie's would be open and wasn't sure if DK was. We got to DK at 8 PM and they sat us down immediately. The man and woman working (just a sidenote -- they're married and so cute) didn't even tell us until later, when we asked, that they normally take the last walk-in appointment at 7:30, but treated us very pleasantly and didn't act like we were a bother at all, even though they're the owners and probably had a long day. We both got mani-pedis which included a wonderful massage, and we were totally pleased with the end results. The price, $30 for a mani-pedi, is a great price for Miami and completely worth it. It's been a week and my nails still look great! And the cherry on top is that they sell nail polish for way cheap -- Essie costs $6, and at Target it's around $8, sometimes up to $12. I highly recommend it, especially for UM students. Lots of new UM girls go to Pinkie's just because it's walking distance from school and the sign is so big that they see it right away, but just walk to the end of the block and you'll get a way better experience for a better value. read more

I went and got a full set done for $50 and was very disappointed. The nail tech clearly was not trained, and had to redo my thumb nail 3 times. The final product is as not worth the money and quickly cracked. I didn't see them sanitize anything and the place was dirty. Awful experience. I've never left a bad review but I don't recommend dk nails at all. The technician and i both bumped into my already finished finger nail (just one) and then in trying to fix it in a very frustrated manner he bumped two more and now is mumbling things under his breath and asking me why I am not being more careful when none of this has been my fault. And then in his frustration he takes off all the nail polish to start painting all over again. And my nails looked awful after all that. Terrible. read more

Ive came here a few times and honestly it's hit and miss. It boils down to bad customer service. Ive picked a color and been given a completely different one despite pointing it out the technician proceeded to tell me she liked it. It's cash only tip and min. 10 on a card. She was great and was very meticulous which I absolutely loved!!! The place is not the most aesthetically pleasing but it's no dump either.
